History of equipment in PM

Needs to open history records for all the equipment installed and a mechanism to upgrade the machine history record from the job orders..
I need to know if there is any break down or any spare parts changed can it be displayed???
and can it updated from job orders?

Dear Pawan,
The entire breakdown attended and preventive maintenance carried over equipments.
Can be seen in various SAP standard reports and custom developed reports.
The media in between equipment and information is
Notifications
Maintenance orders
Breakdown notifications /orders give you the definite time duration and cause remedy etc.
Similarly spares changed / manual labor is captured through maintenance orders.
This is very high level information.
If you can specify your issue then forum members will throw some more light on it.

  • Blocked scheduling defect equipment

    Dear expert,
    I have a query regarding defective equipment.
    I used serial number management to track the history of equipment.
    I replace equipment with the new one. After i dismantle defective equipment the equipment status is become AVLB (available). then, when i GI to Order that defective equipment using movement type 262, equipment status become ESTO (in warehouse).
    My question is: is it possible to make automatic scheduling maintenance plan become "Blocked" (can't run scheduling) because the equipment status is ESTO? The maintenance plan should be able to be schedule again after we change the equipment number in the maintenance plan to the new one (new equipment). Is it possible?

    I dont think there is any standard requirement for this.
    You can check with abaper, to give a batch job... to pick the equipments with status ESTO and to deactivate the maintenance plan relevant to that equipment...
    Also check whether u can do any enhancement in IP25 - Set deletion flag...
    Where u can enter Equipment Status and search for the maintenance plan
    Or
    select the Equipment which have the ESTO status, enter it in IP25 and Execute
    Excute in Test Run and then remove the Tick and Execute ... The plans corresponding to the equipments, the deletion flag will be set...

  • Function Location, Classes, Equipment

    We have a business Situation where we are using FLOC to track our rentable assets. We Rent space on each FL and therefore need to track rental attributes here. The problem arises because we can rent to multiple customer on each FLOC. To handle this we are using Classes.
    ie.
    Class
    Rental_Class_1, Rental_Class_2, Rental_Class_3
    Characteristics
    Agreement_#_1, Customer_1, Agreement_#_2, Customer_2,
    This creates a problem when searching with Classes for Customer = XYZ Inc.
    Does anybody have a better natural solution to my issue, instead of having to create custom reporting?

    Hiii James,
    I would suggest you instead of doing it using class & characteristics, you can make use of contract functyionality in Customer service module. You can assign the equipment/Functional location  to service contract & you can dismental the equipment when contract get finished.
    You can also define different types contract.
    You can also prevent to assign the equipment to assign the equipment to two contract at a time.
    You can also change the functional location (Customer location) of equipment automatically.
    You can also update the customer & End customer details & address details automatically, when assigned to contract & get vanished when it is removed from contract.
    According to that you may get the history of equipment/functional location of assigning it to contract.
    I hope it may solve your issue.

  • Equipment Master Data Display

    Dear PM Experts,
    I m facing a problem regarding equipments Master data display.
    When I used t-code ih01 after getting the list of technical object when I click any of the technical object, in equipment master data structure tab I can see the functional location and superior equipment
    But when I m seeing the same equipment No. through IE03 I m not able to see the functional location or superior equipment in structure tab.
    One more difficulty hw to see the changes history effectively because when I see the changes history Extra---- Display Changes.there are no. of entry at a single time for example at 15:10:05 ( 15 hrs 10 min. & 05 sec ) there are ten changes in old value H & New value D . What it means please explain.

  • Equipment master data display of "ship to party"

    Hi experts!
    I got following problem:
    Delivering an equipment to a partner only the "sold-to-partner" number is filled by using the "BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE". The "ship-to-party" field remains grey. Therefore also the asset is updated the the "ship-to-party"-partner.
    Changing the equipment manually the "ship-to-party" field is then filled automatically.
    I already did the customizing, described in thread Partner Data in Equipment Master and thread Synchronisation between asset and equipment

    Hi Experts,
    How to capture dismantling date for an Equipment under a given functional location.I want to get the history of equipment for a given functional location ie when the equipment is assigned to that functional location.

    Hi,
    Valid from date & Valid to date will get changed once you change your installation location.
    For example, equipment 1 has been created on 16.02.2003.
    So Valid from date would be 16.02.2003 & Valid to Date would be 31.12.9999.
    it has been installed in FL1 on 23.05.2005.
    So Valid from date would be 23.05.2005 & Valid to Date would be 31.12.9999.
    Then Equipment 1 has been dismantled from FL 1 & installed in FL 2 on 12.08.2008, then Valid from date will get changed to 12.08.2008 & valid to date will be same (31.12.9999).
    If you see in Usage list, you can see 3 rows.
    First row: FL 2 with 12.08.2008 & 31.12.9999
    2nd Row: FL 1 with 23.05.2005 & 12.08.2008
    3rd Row: Empty FL with 16.02.2003 & 23.05.2005.
    Valid from date will not be same if you change your installation location. Only start up date can be same till the equipment is getting scrapped.

                         I have a requirement from my client, that they would like to have an Equipment History based on there legacy system, where they would like to have a report comprising of Both Notifications and orders based on Equipment.
    the out put should be the list of notification and orders with there Category, duration, list of operations and components issued(in orders), and reported by fields.

    Hi,
    The report details can be seen in standard SAP. If you see in the menu option after executing IW38 or IW39 etc you have option of selecting multiple level reports, and goods movement reports etc.
    As you were asking relavent to equipment then you have to filter the output report and then just go to multi level reports.
    The details you were asking will not be available in single screen except in multi level reports. Here also you have choice to create variant.

    16.4.2.2 Change of Equipment History (New)
    As of SAP ECC 6.0 (SAP_APPL 600), you can make back-dated changes to the equipment history. In
    the process, the following data is taken into consideration and corrected:
    - Equipment master data and equipment history
    - Definition of the measurement reading transfer and adjustment of the corresponding measurement
    documents
    - Notifications that affect installation, removal, and exchange.
    Do someone know in which transaction i can see this ???

    for changing the equipment history there are 3 phases
    1Replace the actual history with the target history
    2Create the relationships for the measurement reading transfer(automatically done by system)
    3Adjust the notifications
    for first phase you have to create a target history using IEQCM1 and replace the actual history with the target history

  • Equipment Maintenance History Report

    Hi experts,
    Is there a SAP PM standard report or option that shows what maintenance orders have been opened for equipments o functional locations?
    We require a "history view" with all the maintenance orders that were performed on the equipment/functional location, with dates, operations executed, materials used, etc.
    Can anyone tell me where can I view this in SAP PM?

    Hi PPL,
    I have a problem where , in the Notification IW32 in the Objects Tab when i
    enter tha value of the Serial No and Material with the Notification No in the first line
    and save it , the Service Order for the Notification does not appear in the Equipment - SERDATA - History.
    Whereas when i enter the Serial No and the Material No in the first line of the Objects Tab and i enter the same serial No and the Material No in the Second Line of the Object Tab along with the Notification No , the corresponding Service Order appears in the SERDATA History of the Equipment.
    What could be the Problem and How to rectify the Problem ?
    I hav posted this question a couple of times in the forum and am yet to receive an
    Guidance on how to resolve the Issue .I wud be very grateful for your Advice.

    I am looking for a BAPI or function module to get the equipment history, basically the same way as when we click extras-->display changes and it gives all the changes made with date, time and old and new values of the change made.     what I have mentioned is to insert Serial data tab in Equipment Master.
    To insert the Serial Data tab, you have to go to Menu bar,(ie02) select EDIT----
    >VIEW SELECTION
    This will open up a small window and there you will find a check box to select/deselect. There you have to select the Check Box against SER DATA.
    Then only you will get Serial data tab.
    As Mr.Thiyagarajan mentioned, you should create a Material Number and a Serial Number using MM01. Then only you will get the HISTORY Button in Serial Data tab.

    Lets take an example of EQUI table...
    Here if suppose, we have 2 key fields MANDT(100) and EQUI(000000000000011010),
    then in the query to CDHDR table we have to concatenate the key field values
    OBJECTCLAS --> Concatenate MANDT AND EQUI (100000000000000011010)
    OBJECTID --> EQUI (for Equipments)
    You can use the additional fields like user name, date and time you know them.....
