How do I add a feature/role to an offline .vhdx file?

Hello to Anyone that can help with this frustrating task that should be easy,
Ok I looked at Example 3 here:

and tried to use that format to install features and files to a .vhdx file. I tried different syntax but no luck. I don't know what i typed wrong or what i should type? If i wanted to install dns to an offline .vhdx file and that file is in
my c drive, how would i type the syntax? I have tried and failed over and over again. Here are some of the syntax i have tried in powershell:
install-windowsfeature dns -vhdx c:\
install-windowsfeature dns -vhdx c:\VM TEST.vhdx
install-windowsfeature -dns -vhdx c:\
install-windowsfeature -dns -vhdx c:\VM TEST.vhdx
install-windowsfeature -name dns -vhdx c:\
install-windowsfeature -name dns -vhdx c:\VM TEST.vhdx
All these syntax are wrong and am frustrated. btw, the file i want to add dns to is "VM TEST.vhdx"

but the guy doesn't give a specific example for me to follow in regards to location of his vhd file and I am using a .vhdx. Again all i would like to learn is how to add features and/or roles to an offline .vhdx file and i am trying with "dns"
since it is so easy to type. What would be the proper syntax? If anyone can chime in that would be great for this seems to be a simple 101 type of question especially for mcsa or mcse certified people out there. I am totally new to this and
can't do this one simple task. Help please.

Hi,
You install a feature/role to a VHD with the -Switch VHD (even if it is a .vhdx you are pointing at...)
See my example below, that installs the DNS server on a vhdx. The switch -IncludeManagementTools do also give you the management Tools for DNS (both Powershell and MMC...)
Add-WindowsFeature -Vhd "C:\SERVER.vhdx" -Name DNS -IncludeManagementTools

How can I add a user Role member that is from a different domain

We are currently building out SCOM 2012 R2 to provide monitoring as a service to some of our customers. As of now we have the RMS on our own department's domain (Domain A) which we have full control of and we have a gateway server that is on the company
wide domain (Domain B) so that we can monitor other departments devices as the leverage this system.
Monitoring is working just fine on both domains and we are just working on fine tuning SCOM so that we can roll it out as a service we offer to our customers. One of the next steps we are working on before rolling it out is giving specific users access
to view only their own devices, dashboards, and groups. So I created a Read-Only profile and went to add a user to test it out, but that user is on Domain B and SCOM is unable to resolve this account. I'm seeing Event ID 26319 with Error Code 1332.
How can I get SCOM to discover devices on a different domain so that I can give them different permissions for accessing the Operations Console and/or Web Console? Is this possible?

The SCOM Management Server is in Domain A. I've tried it already and it has failed.
So just to clarify the method I used was to go to Administration>Security>User Roles. Then New User Role>Read-Only Operator. In the Create User Role Wizard I then gave the User Role a name, Clicked "Add" under User Role Members.
Then the Select Users or Groups window pops up and I changed the Locations from Domain A to Domain B and searched for the user, which it's able to find, then clicked "OK" to add it to the User Role members which it does just fine. On
the next page which is Group Scope I checked the one group I want this account to have access to and then click next. This brings me to Dashboards and Views where I click the radio button for "Only the dashboards and views selected in each tab are
approved" and chose the folder of dashboards I want this account to access and then click next. This brings me to the Summary and I click "Create". At this point it thinks for a moment then closes out the wizard but the new Read-Only
Operator does not appear. I then look in Event Viewer and see the Event I pasted above.
Am I doing something wrong here? Any guidance on how to get around this issue would be much appreciated.

How can I add a logo when I want to send files with Adobe Send?

I have bought adobe send today. when I wanted to send the file in the pdf reader (after opening an account for adobe send), the system asked me whether I wanted to add a company logo / signature to the sent file. I confirmed, but then a pop-up window came and said I have to change some settings -----but WHERE? Cannot find a place in the menu to do this

That feature isn't available directly through Adobe Reader. Please log in directly to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/send. On the right side, you'll see a box labeled Recipient Page. Select Add Your Logo & Color, and then click Edit. Click Add Logo, and then navigate to where your logo is stored on your hard disk.

How do I add time/date stamp to my screen capture file names?

I'm on mac osx.
I'm trying to add time/date stamp to my screen capture file names. (at the moment it's just 'Picture 1' etc..)
I've tried the following command in terminal but have not had success. please help!!

How can you add autonumber feature in an entity class?

Can you pls help me with this problem, I'm new to java EE. I've got an entity class and I want to implement an auto number feature using the following code:

But this doesn't work, it gives me the following error: "java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: Table/View 'SEQUENCE' does not exist.". Can you also briefly explain to me how the database will accept this with configuration(if it will accept).

How do I add meta tag data to a TIF image file

I'd like to add information such as camera type, shutter speed, and other measurement parameters to image files that I'm creating with my IMAQ application. I have not found a good source of information on how to accomplish this. Does anybody else have any suggestions, leads or pointers?

I've looked at IMAQ Write Image and Vision Info File 2.vi. According to the documentation, "Writes an image, along with extra vision information associated with the image, to a PNG file. This extra vision information includes overlay information, pattern matching template information, and calibration information. Note that this vision information can only be saved with the PNG file format."
I have used the Write Custom Data.vi to write several keys to the image, before using the Write Image and Vision Info VI noted above. It does not seem that the keys can be read as metadata from the file by windows or other applications.

I am running OSX 10.5.8 currently, and have followed all of the tips and advice on the help sites (IE. uninstalling, installing pluggins, programs like adobe, and reinstalling firefox). I tried deleting and resetting the mimetypes.rdf file and the pluginreg.dat files. I have noticed that when you open the FF preferences window, and look at applications, there is no Portable Document Format file type listed. How do I fix this?

How to I add options to the Context Menu for html files under Site Content

Currently in Web Page Composer... if a developer wants to get the Target URL to an html page in a WPC site (i.e. under the Site Content folder) they have to take several steps... Content Menu -> Details -> Settings -> Properties -> Access Links -> copy the Target URL. I would like to add this ability (i.e. to copy the target URL to clipboard) as a option to the "context menu" of each html file. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how it can be done? It can be a global change if necessary.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Also check the Mouse driver settings in the Control Panel.

For various reasons, that feature was intentionally removed from WMP12 for Win7.
Please, please note that tags can still be edited from within Windows Explorer; however, the 'lyrics' feature was removed there.

Opted out of password mgmnt when installing Firefox; now I need it. How to add the feature?

When installing Firefox, there was a list of items to install. I UNchecked the last one (for password mgmt) because I was going to use a different password mgr. The different password mgr (LastPass) wants the Firefox mgr to be installed. How do I add that feature I UNchecked? It does not seem to be in the "add-on" list.
I tried to reinstall Firefox and got the message that I already have the latest version. While writing this info it occurred to me that I might UNinstall Firefox and reinstall it. Or is there a better way?
