How do i apply a certain tween to several objects?

hi all,
I'm working on a little flash project to show a card game being played out. Its just playing out a set of moves - no actual logic for actually playing the game.
Anyhow, what i would like to be able to do is create a tween (hope thats the right term) where a card will appear in the center of the table, and then slide over to the players hands and at the same time shrink down so i can fit a few hands on the screen. So basically i need a tween that takes an object (the card), places it on the center of the screen, and then slides over and shrinks down to a specific point. So in whatever action script calls this tween, i guess i would need to feed it two values - which card it starts with, and where the card should end up.
can someone give me some pointers as to how i'd go about doing this? I'd like to learn how to create this in the flash interface and then convert all that clicking and dragging into action script 3.0. I think it's easier to visually create the animation that way rather then trying to program it. but if there's a better way i'm all ears.

I created a simple animation in the user interface. I then right clicked on it and selected copy motion as action script 3. That gave me the following code:

How do i take this card, and replace "AceHeart" with whatever card i want to animate? I couldn't even get this above code to work at all. Tried to run it and i get an error about acces of undefined property CardDeal1. I assume CardDeal1 should be an item on the stage, because when i change carddeal1 to the name of an instance of a card on the stage, it sort of works. My movie runs, but not very well. It seems like i have to press the button to advance the animation by one frame - so i have to keep pressing it over and over to advance the animation. And then the card doesn't even stop where it's supposed to - it litterally just flies off the stage. So at this point i feel pretty clueless.
Can this only work with an item thats already on the stage? if so, do i first need to go through the addchild function to place an instance of whatever card i want to animate and then call this motion animator thing?

If you have movement on the stills you can set up expressions based on in and out points. That's what I do. I then drop all my stills in order into a comp then set the out point for all stills for the longest duration. I then set group colors for layers that I want to make different lengths, do a group select and then adjust the out points for those layers. When I'm done I sequence the layers using the keyframe assistant.
The other way I work is to use an audio track with markers for timing. I have an expression that reads the markers and sets opacity for the layers based on pairs of markers. The motion is also controlled by expressions. That's an even faster way to set up an animated slide show.
The last way I work is just to set in an out points for all layers, sequence the layers, use expressions to do the motion and then use time remapping on a pre-comp to adjust the timing of the slide show. All methods are quick and easy.
Here's a fly in bounce and then drop out fxx preset that will give you an idea of how expressions based on in and out point work for slide shows. You just drag the layer to it's resting position, apply the animatiokn preset and the layer flys in, bounces, and then drops out the bottom of the comp. Works in 2D and 3D space.

Is there a script for applying a certain style to several thousands of words arranged in a list?

Hello, I have tried using FindChangeByList, but I'd pretty much do all the work of pasting every word on the brackets, so i could as well apply the styles by hand.
So my project involves applying the same style to around 11 thousand words that appear in a book. Those words are mostly names and brands, and they appear throughout the whole text, so applying that style manually would be quite time-consuming.
I have those words set aside in a list.txt
Does anyone know if I could use that in any script and apply the style automatically?
Like I said, pasting every single word into FindChangeByList is out of the question, just like applying the style word by word, it would take forever...

Okay, for anyone that might be interested in this as I was, I found a solution.
If you want to have a particular text expression on your .txt list to be used as a search parameter by your script, here are a few tips:
Let's say you want to add the following 2 expressions on your list, without the quotation marks:
a) "test, test."
b)"[test] {test}"
1 - Like Jongware said, you MUST abide by GREP syntax.
2 - If you want to put an expression on your .txt list that DOES NOT uses characters that represent GREP syntax (example a) with regular text, commas and simple punctuation), you may simply add them to your list between parentheses:
     a) (test, test.)
3 - If you want the script to search for an expression that DOES CONTAIN characters that are also used by GREP syntax (example b) you can try stuff like:
     b) (\p{Ps}test\p{Pe})
     note the parentheses, because it's a specific text expression
     then note the \p{Ps} and \p{Pe} that mark opening or (s)tarting and closing or (e)nding punctuation such as brackets, braces, parentheses...

I wasn’t sure if MUSE has any hidden functions in order to create this kind of styles natively.
The online-stripes-generators put out a .png (e. g. also achievable with Illustrator) and I thought basic forms within MUSE can perhaps be filled with such an element, set on repeat.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
In the case of this theoretical lower third to be applied to more than one title at a time
a. Is there text in the lower third besides a graphic of some kind?
b. Are all the titles to which this lower third is to be applied all together on the Timeline or scattered?
If no text in lower third and titles all together, then, with text titles on Video 1 and lower third on Video 2, drag out the lower third to cover the length of the text titles on Video 1.
I do not find "lower third" title files to be in the same category as certain effects where the Copy and "Paste Attributes" or "Paste Effects and Adjustments" lend themselves so well.
Let us see what others have to say about all this. I will continue to experiment with what you seek and how you would prefer to get there. I am not optimistic but I will try.

I have created a course through Captivate 6, throughout the course there are questions to guage the learners attention. There is also a quiz at the end. However, captivate includes on the questions throughout the course on the quiz results which I do not want to happen.
Can anyone advise how I can only get certain questions appear on the quiz results please?

Could you explain more in detail what you want, because I don't understand it. You want the user to answer all questions, but the score should only show what? If you don't want some questions to have a score added to the Quiz total, you can indicate that in the Properties of that Question slide.
And please, tell the exact number (3 versions of 6), and also if you have to report to a LMS?

I am looking for best practices advice when (1) creating
custom components and (2) styling and skinning.
I already know how to skin a component part of the Flex
framework. I can make a class extending ProgrammaticSkin and have
my component skinned using CSS to link the component with the
reference to my custom class.
However what about those cases when you are completely
creating a component from scratch?
Imagine a "Freehand Drawing Canvas" component that allows the
user to draw on it and has some buttons to set color styles, line
styles, etc., or imagine a "Screen Flow Gallery" component that
displays visual objects in a fashion similar to Cover Flow in the
Mac.
In many components I am aware you may reuse other components
part of the Flex framework but I am trying to picture an scenario
where you would need to draw everything yourself because there just
isn't something to base it upon so you will end up drawing it from
scratch.
To learn how instead of building one of those components I
mentioned previously I decided to start with something simple that
would illustrate this like a LiteButton component that will behave
just like the Flex mx.controls.Button but will extend UIComponent
and be completely custom drawn.
The component will have a default look and will also be
style-able and skin-able. I will provide styles for users of the
component to modify and regarding skinning anyone can create a
custom ProgrammaticSkin adding its own drawing logic and link it to
the component via CSS with the ClassReference applied to the skin
selector.
So far so good and it's clear what I want to achieve. I
actually know how to do most of the stuff here but I have one
single problem.

These aren't mutually exclusive. When you provide a skin with
a
TypeSelector, you have to add it to the display list
somewhere, and this is
typically done in updateDisplayList or addChildren. I prefer
to do it in
updateDisplayList, because you can then change it if the
style changes.

I've never had any problem using an approach similar to
this...but I will
say that I couldn't see any advantage in creating a
default.css style sheet,
since it's not really default in the way that the one that
comes with Flex
is. It's much more obvious to anyone using your component
what's going on
there if you create a style sheet where they're likely to
spot it.

It seems like your approach is fine, but maybe you've made a
mistake in your
implementation.

You might want to consider also adding an instance of
HaloBorder to your
component. That brings a lot of functionality with it.

You need to start over with Music. On the iPhone Music screen uncheck sync music. Also, on the Summary screen uncheck "Manually manage music and videos", then sync and it should clear off your phone.
Next, choose the music you want to sync. If you want to fit more on check "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC". This will reduce quality slightly, but it won't be noticable unless you are using $300 headphones.

I don't know if this is really supported with inDesign 5.5, but here is my my use case:
I constantly create more than 10 PDFs a day using inDesign
On all PDF's I create, i want to apply password security to protect them
But in order to do so, within inDesign, I am always forced to go to the "security dialogue" pane to set up the same permission and passwords over and over again
This gets tiring :/
So what I am hoping to do is the following:
Like acrobat, I want to create a password policy within inDesign
I want all PDFs created to have such a password policy be automatically applied
I know acrobat supports something like this (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/pro/using/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7d68.w.h tml), but, unless I may have missed something, the Acrobat feature is limited. That is, the help link does not tell me how to automatically do this with Acrobat either (the link does not explain to me how to "automatically apply the same password security policy to every PDF document I save within the application). I think the only way to do so is via "Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management ES", but for non server users, I am hoping there is another way.
So my questions are:
Is it possible to create password security policies in inDesign?
Is it possible to apply the same password security policy to every PDF i create in inDesign?
If not, can I change default settings within Acrobat ProX to automatically apply a password security policy everytime I save a PDF?
If all fails, do you guys know of any extensions that can support this?

Bummer. I kinda had a hunch at this inDesign limitation.
I have been aware of the method for setting up of a security policy within Acrobat. While this feature does cut down some of the work involved in creating and applying password policies to pdfs, what I am looking for with Acrobat is to apply the same password policy to every document I save from the app. Automatically. Without having to manualy select a policy.
I think my solution will have to lie in me creating some sort of script to help support this need. I don't think Acrobat Pro X has the capabilities to allow me to tinker with, say, creating a save PDF preset that will allow me to automatically apply a password policy.
PS. I am using acrobat pro x.

Let me explain it a bit to remove the ambiguity.
I have 10 documents nested under a book. Each of these documents have 'n' number of pages. I want to apply my custom made master page "First" to the first page of all these 10 documents in one go. The remaining pages of the documents have to be in default "Right" master page format. How will I do it?
I tried selecting all the documents and importing the formats from another document with the custom made "First" master page. The master page format is getting imported but the first page of all the documents still remain with the default "Right" master page format.
I think now my question is more clear...

You can't but you can copy the adjustments made on one photo and apply/paste it onto another by:
1 - Control (right)-clicking one the edited photo in the Edit mode and selecting Copy Adjustsments
2 - Control-clicking on the next photo and selecting Paste Adjustments.

I do not think that it is possible to have more than one Automated Row Fetch process in a given page. See the thread:

On your second question, the manual process should work provided:
P_ID has a value when the process executes. You can do it this way:
i. Make this process as a on-load After/Before header process
ii. Make sure that P_ID page item has value when the process executes (set it from another page or before the pl/sql process executes)

How can I detect a certain text within a field within CASE using IF

Dear all,
for a transformation / generation of values receiving from R/3 into BW I try to
manupulate three fields. I have a problem detecting a string in a field.
I am using a CASE with several WHEN clauses on one field. Depending on the
value, an IF is integrated. There I look into another field evaluating, if it contains
a certain string. E.g. IF STRING CP 'xyz' OR 'abc'.
System gives error for the locigal expression. I also tried CS, but same error.
How can I detect a certain text within a field and which is the right logical
expression.
