How do I delete info/apps that were originally on my sisters computer for her iPod and I've accidentally downloaded them to my IPad 2 and don't want them on my iPad.

Hi I am new to iPad and have an ipad2. My sister and I share a laptop, she has loads of apps and music files on laptop, which she downloaded to her IPod.  I then got my iPad and have somehow downloaded all her music and apps onto the iPad.  Which I don't want can anyone tell me how to get rid of the, thank you.

Just delete anything you don't want off your device. You can set up different sync settings for each device in future. Check this out: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1495
If you have different user accounts on your laptop, just make sure your logged in to your account when you plug in, and your sister logs into hers when she plugs in. If you have just one user on the laptop that you share, the link above will help.

Delete an App Store app: Touch and hold its icon on the Home screen until the icon starts to jiggle, then tap the "x" . You can’t delete built-in apps. When you finish, press the Home button.
Deleting an app also deletes all of its data. You can re-download any app you’ve purchased from the App Store, free of charge

  • How can I deactivate Adobe apps that were installed on a computer that is no longer available?

How can I deactivate Adobe apps that were installed on a computer that is no longer available? I have a Creative Cloud membership, and I want to deactivate a device that is no longer available. I would have thought that there would be an option to deactivate all devices somewhere in My Account, but I can't find it.

    Hi acornies,
There is no such option readily available under which you are able to deactivate the product on all the devices . As per the EULA , you are able to install the product on two machines only and once you try to have the product installed on a third machine that would provide you with an error message and an option to deactivate the products on all the previous installation .
So , if the machine that you would be installing the product onto is going to be your third machine , you will be getting an error message that you have reached your activation limit and there would be a button to click on continue to deactivate all the prev installation .
Please let me know if this works for you .

How to restore points in apps that were there before this god awful update?

This wonderful update wouldn't effect any of this if you backed-up properly to iCloud or restored after the update. I didn't lose anything in my update.

How do i delete an app that came with the latest 8.2 software update?

Since you can't delete apps that are part of iOS, you should try the same thing I do. I create a folder which I call Worthless and move to the last page of my iPhone. I then put all the apps that Apple includes with iOS into that folder. With the name Worthless, I never even tempted to look in there again. That is about the only thing you can do with worthless apps that are included with iOS.

How to completely delete the apps that showed as purchased in our apps store.

You can't permanently delete any item from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them via your computer's iTunes so that they won't show in the Purchased links : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

If Demo's suggestion doesn't work, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

I just purchased the new Nokia windows phone.  How do I delete an app that I installed but don't want to keep?

You are welcome! I played with the 928 in a Verizon store and really liked it. Besides the great camera and Nokia Maps, I'd be pretty excited about Nokia Music, too. As I understand it, this free app lets you create playlists from its entire music library, which can be stored on your device to listen to any time.
There are a few members on the WP board who are really knowledgeable about Nokia and WP, so let us know if you have more questions.

  • How can I delete an app that doesn't show as installed but is?

I can not delete an app that is on my iphone 5.  Unfortunely I do not remember the name of it!  It shows up as a moveable round botton within a square on all opened screens. When tapped it opens up four options: Favorites, Siri, Device and Home.  It was a cool time saver with the iOS5, but with the addition of comand center in iOS7 It is rather in the way.  Does anyone know the name of this app and or how to uninstall it??  Thanks for any help

That did it, it's gone!  I don't understand, is it uninstalled?
    THANK YOU so much

  • How do i delete apps on itunes ??? i went to the library and it only shows a few apps that i have.  But when i go into my account i can see all of the apps i have downloaded.  soooo how do i delete the apps that are only showing in my account?

How do I delete an app on iTunes?  I can delete the apps that are shown in the library of iTunes by right clicking and hitting "delete".  But all of my apps aren't shown in the library (I don't understand that either).  I can see all downloaded apps in my account though. But I don't see how to delete them from there.

If you plug in your iphone, click on it in iTunes, and go to the apps section, it should be checked to sync apps if you want them to show up in iTunes as well as your iPhone. Once synced they will show on both.
Then if you click Apps under the Library header in the left panel of iTunes, you'll be able to permanently delete apps, removing them entirely from iTunes. Highlight an app's icon or a group of icons by holding down Shift and hit the delete key (or select Edit > Delete from the top menu or right-click on an icon and selecting delete).

  • How do i delete an app that just says 'loading...' but never has an X

i downloaded garage band. I have also re-synced my ipad and my computer many times.
the problem: the garageband icon just forever says 'Loading....' but never actually does.
I cannot delete it like a fully loaded app because there is never an 'X' that is there when you press it.
I have tried to reload the app by simplye plugging into the computer as normal when you 'sync' but this app never leaves the 'loading...' mode.
Help! I either want the app to load and work or I want to delete it.
For now, since we cant seem to get it to work...how do i delete it?
I have the ipad with the largest storage and the 3G

I've just been through this experience with Pages.  I assume the application shows up in your iTunes, under Apps, correct?  If so:
    1) with your iPad connected to your computer, CTRL click on your iPad name under Devices and select the Back-up option.
    2)  from your Summary page (see menu buttons at top of screen), select the Restore button.  NOTE:  This is going to restore your device to factory settings and will take a little bit of time).
    3)  when the Restore function is finished, there will be an option on the screen to restore from you iPad backup.  Click on that.
At this point, my Pages application was now an active and accessible icon on my iPad.
One caveat, this morning when I downloaded a small "to do" app from the App Store, I watched as my Pages icon on the iPad went into "Paused" mode and then plunged into the perpetual "Loading" and/or "Waiting" modes again.  After repeating the steps above, it is once again active on my iPad, but I now wonder if I'm going to have to back up, restore to factory setting, and then re-install everything each time I download a new app...?  Only time will tell.
This is a problem associated with the 3G service, with it's 20MB limit and, I'm assuming, will occur with every download that exceeds 20MB...?
I understand that access to WiFi resolves the issue; unfortunately, I don't have WiFi.

  • How do you delete an app that is stuck "waiting"?

My IPad is stuck when trying to update an app. It is faded and says waiting.

I have posted these suggestions many times in the last. Try them in order and see if one of them works for you.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
