  • Does lightbox just enlarge the image of the original file? What about image resolution?

    I'm in the process of buying cs5 (only have 3 which DW lightbox plugin doesn't support).  I'm interested in it based on all I've read on this forum.  It appears you don't have to have 2 images (one small one big) like you have to with a disjointed rollover, so how does it enlarge the image without losing a lot of resolution? Hope it's OK to ask a lightbox question here.

    Hi Kate,
    the question is whether you want to use a readily utilizable finished product, using ohterones page, or if you want/can to build a gallery on your own homepage.

    What is the file format of the vector you downloaded?  Custom Shapes have a .PSP extension, and are placed according to this table.
    Preference filenames and locations in Photoshop CC
    They will then be loadable from the Custom Shapes drop down — click on the cog icon > Load shape > Find your downloaded vector.
    Once placed in the image, it will appear as a Shape layer, and can be edited with the Path, and Direct Selection tools (black and white arrows on the toolbar)

  • How to enlarge the image when the mouse is clicked

    I want to enlarge the image when the user click the image. How to do it by muse? Thank You!!!

    Hi,
    When you create a page in Muse called "Home" or "Gallery" or other else, when you export your site as HTML you must have a file called "home.html", "gallery.html" or "other else.html". Remember in what page you putted the Gallery in Muse and edit it with notepad, wordpad or similar and find the code where the gallery is linked (search the name of one of your images, is the best way to find it) and replace the code with something similar like that:
    <code>
    <a href="images/medidas06.jpg" rel="lightbox[gallery]"><img class="block ImageInclude" id="u3527_img" data-src="images/medidas06.jpg" src="images/blank.gif" alt="" data-width="248" data-height="360"/> </a>
    </code>
    The path to the JPG files must be ok with your website.
    The other steps are well explained by the readme of the lightbox library

  • How can I enlarge a slideshow image and close it to return to the original slide within a set?

    In my site, there are several slideshows. Each image within each slideshow is of a medium size on the page (not a thumbnail). I would like to be able to click on each individual image within the slideshow to enlarge it - either on its own page or otherwise. Is it possible?
    An option I've tried is to create a hyperlink to open an individual page with that image enlarged. However I can only return to the beginning of the slideshow (by creating a hyperlink to the page with that slideshow)...and not the particular slide I enlarged. Any ideas please?

    Hi Brad... thanks for getting back to me.
    As you can guess I'm no graphic designer, I'm just creating a very simple site for my own artwork. I attach a link to the site...
    http://www.stephenbrandes.com
    As you can see, I have slideshows and I'm happy with the composition. But I'd like to be able to enlarge each image on the slideshow in a separate closable window to enlarge it.
    Hope this makes my question a little clearer...
    best

  • How to enlarge an image and not lose quality of picture?

    Hi,
    I'm new to Photoshop!
    I need to enlarge an image to go on A4 paper with a landscape orientation.
    I'm struggling..any help would be great!
    Thanks,
    Kate

    You're welcome.
    What you did was known as "scaling". If there are enough pixels, you can change the print size with noticing anything wrong.
    That's the best, because you are not adding or subtracting pixels, which is called "re-sampling".
    If the scaling did not work then you would use Image Size to enlarge the picture by guessing what pixels to add. Not the best way to go, because you are adding information not in the picture to make it look better.
    My Advice: If you have a camera, use the highest MP setting, shoot jpeg best quality, or even better RAW
    If you scan, plan. 300 ppi is a good start and should give you plenty of pixels at A4.
    That really the simple story. Read up to understand digital images.

  • How do i enlarge a scanned photo in my f4100 series

    how do i enlarge a scanned photo in my f4100 series

    To scan to a computer
    1. Place your original with the side you want to copy or scan face down on the left front
    corner of the glass.
    TIP: For quality copies, ensure that the scanner glass is clean and that there are
    no foreign materials adhering to it. For more information, see Clean the glass.
    2. Press Scan.
    If the original is a document, the HP All-in-One scans it automatically. If the original
    is a photo, a preview image of the scan appears on your computer, where you can
    edit it. Any edits that you make apply to the current scan session only.
    The HP Photosmart Software has many tools that you can use to edit your scanned
    image. You can improve the overall image quality by adjusting the brightness,
    sharpness, color tone, or saturation. You can also crop, rotate, or resize the image.
    3. Make any edits to the preview image, and then click Accept when you are finished.
    You can use the tools in the HP Scanning software to modify a preview image. Any
    changes that you make, such as brightness, image type, resolution, and more apply only
    to this scan session.
    You can make additional changes in the HP Photosmart software after the image is
    scanned.

  • Just set up lightroom 5 and imported images with sequence number but wanted image number.  How do I renumber all images in lightroom with an image number?

    How do I renumber all images in lightroom with an image number?

    Try line-height: 19px; and display: block; (as shown) on the following css seletor :
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a {
         font-family: Lucida Sans Unicode, Lucida Grande, sans-serif;
         color: #CC6;
         text-decoration: none;
         padding-top: 10px;
         padding-right: 12px;
         padding-bottom: 10px;
         padding-left: 12px;
         line-height: 19px;
         display: block;
    Normally setting a height on a container which you have no control over is not a good idea. The text can be enlarged and that will throw everything off. The best way is to set no heights at all but use padding and make sure your background image is flexible enough to accommodate the text enlargement.
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a {
          padding: 12px 12px;
         display: block;

  • How do you enlarge thumbnails from one iframe into a large iframe??

    Hello,
    This has been driving me nuts if anybody could help it would be extremley appreciated.
    I am fairly new to web design and I would like to create an image gallery with thumbnails in a scrolling iframe that when clicked on open up in a larger iframe on the same page (to enlarge the image).  I am using dreamweaver CS4.  I have made html pages for the large images but cant figure out how to link them to the thumbnails in order for them to open in the large iframe.  The scrolling iframe is currently linked to an html page containing all the thumbnail images.  Ideally I would like to learn how to do this in html code as opposed to extensions but as I am a novice I will need it spelled out idiot proof!!  Below is an image of what i am trying to achieve (thumbnails are in a scrolling iframe and below is the larger iframe).  Also can this same set up be re-created with video content (when you click on a thumbnail in a scrolling iframe it opens up the video in a large iframe)
    Please help me!!!! Many thanks in advance!

    Thanks very much for your response!!  I will look through that tutorial.  But i think i have just figured it out by using href.  This is the code that i have used;
    <a href="Large Image 01.html" target="largeimage"><img src="01 Thumbnail.jpg" width="132" height="75" /></a></td>
    This code is on the thumbnail images page and it links it to the iframe (named largeimage) that is on my main index page (the image I posted above).
    The code for the large iframe on my index page is as follows;
    <iframe name="largeimage" id="largeimage" width="528" height="297" ></iframe>
    The code for the scrolling iframe on my index page is as follows;
    <iframe name="imagescroll" id="imagescroll" height="110" width="600" scrolling="auto" src="image scroll page.html"></iframe>
    All the large images have their own individual html pages.  Basically i dropped the large image into a table on a new html page and saved it.  Then repeated this process for all the images.  This large image page is then used as the href source and sent to the target "largeimage" (iframe on index page).  The thumbnails also have their own seperate html page.
    Hopefully this will help people who have the same problem!!
    Cheers!!

  • How do I place an image from PS into InDesign?

    Hi,
    I created a notecard in Photoshop and need to put two on a page in InDesign CS3. I placed the graphic on the page but it's way larger than the designated paper size. I tried going to Object>Fitting to fix the problem but nothing happened. So I tried manually setting the height and width I needed the image to be on the page and it resized the image okay but I couldn't see the entire image within the new size. So my question is how do I place an image, get it to the dimensions I need (see dimensions below) and add two to a page?
    FYI: The paper size is: 8.5 x 11 inches. The graphics are 4.25 x 5.5 inches. I need to print two to a page.
    Thanks for the help.

    To add to M Blackburn's advise, the two selection tools will change what you can do.
    The Selection tool (solid black arrow) will allow you to select the frame itself. It will only select the content if you click on the donut. When the frame is selected, you will see the frame with handles on the corners and centers of lines, and it will be in the color designated to the layer. The default color for layer one is blue, but this can be changed, so don't be thrown if it isn't blue for some reason. Dragging the handles will change the size and placement of the frame, and when moved toward the image, will crop it. Holding the shift key while dragging a handle will keep the frame within proportion (a 3"x5" rectangle will remain 3 units by 5 units, although those units will be larger or smaller than an inch, depending on whether you enlarge or shrink the frame).
    The Direct Selection tool (white arrow) will select the content, rather than the frame. When selecting the content, you will see the handles on a bounding box around the content, and the color will be light brown. Dragging a handle will change the size of the image, and you can also drag the whole image to move it in relation to the frame, which can be used to crop the image as well. Holding shift will keep the image size proportional.
    You should take notice of whether the frame color or the content color is what you see, because double-clicking with the Selection tool will toggle between frame and content, the way clicking within the donut will allow content to be edited while the Selection tool is active.
    If you want to view the image size as a percentage, using the Direct Selection tool is what you want. If you use the Selection tool, you will see the percentage of the frame, which will change while you are dragging it, but as soon as you release the mouse button, it will show 100%. Switching to the Direct Selection tool will show you the percentage of reduction or enlargement of the image itself, and if the X and Y aren't the same, your image is out of proportion.
    Lastly, the shift key, along with Command will probably be what you will use the most, as it will allow you to drag a corner of the frame of a placed image with the Selection tool and proportionally resize the content along with the frame.

  • How to make a background image appear to grow slowly as text happens front

    How do I make a background image which is simply a static image of Earth in space "seem to grow closer" by just slowly enlarging the image as text appears in front of it? Can't seem to find anything intuitive on how to accomplish this. I'm sure it's simple but I just can't seem to wrap my brain around it.

    Double click your image to load it into the viewer. On the top of the viewer are 3 tabs, select the one that says "Motion." Inside of this tab you can animate any video or still image. For what you are wanting to do the Scale option will be the place to start. I think Scale is pretty self-explanatory, but just in case...click the keyframe button and type in a number for the scale (like 90). Scrub down a bit with the playhead and type in a new number next to scale (like 175). A new keyframe is created and you have yourself a zoom in.

  • Enlarging an image on mouseover without using Flash

    Enlarging an image on mouseover without using Flash
    I use DW MX 2004 with Windows 2000
    I want to create the following effect. I have two versions of
    an image,
    geyso_scr... (which is screen size) and geyso_sm (which is
    small). On
    mouse-over I want a larger window to open on top of my html
    page (but
    less than the full screen) and show the larger image file in
    whatever
    size I have created it.
    One mouse-off I want to restore the original image.
    I tried this with a straight image swap on the following
    page:
    http://www.tudo.co.uk/testing/hospiz_stiftung/shell/contents/vorstand/vorstand.html
    see row 2, image 1, Peter von Geyso.
    This works all right (on mouseover there is a shift of about
    1 px) but
    the screen sized image has been sized down to the original
    image (sm image).
    How can I conveniently get the large image hovering on top of
    the
    existing page?
    Can someone recommend a tutorial which describes how this is
    done?
    Or is there a utility which does it?
    On similar lines, a client wants to display a list of items
    as text in
    comparatively small font. On mouse-over he wants the
    list-item in
    question to become slightly larger (not only to change colour
    etc). Can
    that be done without converting the text into images.
    Is there any tutorial for that?
    (No point in arguing with the client that the text should be
    made large
    enough to read in the first place. I have tried that in
    vain.)
    Thanks for your help.
