How do I know if my L7600 is wireless and if so how to set it up?

About 2 years ago I purchased an OfficeJet Pro L7600 printer and have it wired to my PC.  I recently bought a router and a laptop and want to be able to print wirelessly to the printer and still have it wired to the PC.
I don't know if my printer is wireless.  I tried to follow the manual and went to "setup" on the printer and then "network."  It has a "view network setting" and "restore network defaults" but no set up wizard.
Can you help?
Thanks in advance.

Well, your printer has wired network capability, but not wireless.   Therefore, no Wireless Setup Wizard.
Why do you want it still (USB) wired to the PC?  The router does not care how devices (computers or printers or whatever) are attached to it - wired or wireless - they can all talk to each other with no problems.
So, unplug the USB cord, plug in an Ethernet cable between your printer and router and then re-run the HP install software, this time choosing "Network Connection".
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • IPhoto requires iOS. How do I know if I have iOS on my iPhone4 or how do I get it?

iPhoto requires iOS? How do I know if I have it on my iPone4 or how do I get it?

    iPhoto requires iOS 5.1
This version of iOS was just relaxed this past week. So before trying to purchase iPhoto you must first update your operating system on your iPad or iPhone to iOS 5.1
Go to Settings > General > Software Update on your device to see which version of the iOS you are running on your device. If it is 5.0 or 5.0.1 you'll need to update. You should be able to do that directly from your device. But the update servers have been very busy this week so be patient and keep looking.
If your iOS is a version 4 something you will need to connect your device to your computer and run iTunes to complete the update to 5.1
After you have updated your iOS to 5.1 visit the App Store using your iPad and purchase iPhoto.
Also keep in mind that iPhoto for iOS will not run on the original iPad as that iPad does not have sufficient ram for iPhoto to run.

  • How do I know WinRM uses Kerberos for authentication, and does not fall-back to NTLM?

    Hi,
How do I know WinRM uses Kerberos for authentication, and does not fall-back to NTLM?
    /SaiTech

    Hi SaiTech,
Kerberos will be selected by default in an AD domain, The default (assuming the client is in a domain, and is not connecting to itself via 127.0.0.1 or ::1 addresses) is to use Kerberos authentication, and not to fall back to NTLM.
Please also Note that you may have to take some other steps as well to get non-Kerberos authentication working.  Specifically, you'd have to set up an HTTPS listener on the remote host, or modify the client's TrustedHosts list.
    Refer to:
    WINRM kerberos & Negotiate
    Authentication for Remote Connections
In addition, you can also use Network Monitor to check the authentication method.
If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

    Hi Michael ,
You can log in to Adobe.com with your credentials and you can change your region or country from the option "Change Region" at the bottom left of the page .
From there you can change your region and select the preferred one and make the payments.

  • How do I know my airport express is working and doing what I want?

I have my airport express connected to the lan in my office at the far end of my house.  The LAN runs to the wifi router supplied by my internet provider.  I want the airport express to give me a better signal in the far reaches of my house.  In the airport utlity I did the set up of the Base station and wireless screens and in the network screen have the Router Mode set as Off (Bridge Mode) - my airport express shows a nice green light.  So far so good, I hope.  However, when using my ipad or Macbook wirelessly I don't seem to get any better signal than when I didn't have the airport express.  How does either of my devices choose to connect though my airport express rather than my wifi router and how do I know?  Have I misunderstood something completely or not configured something correctly?
    Thanks in advance.
    Richard

I have my airport express connected to the lan in my office at the far end of my house.  The LAN runs to the wifi router supplied by my internet provider.
So, the AirPort Express is connected back to the ISP router using a wired Ethernet cable connection, correct?
and....the AirPort Express has been configured to "create a wireless network" (not "extend a wireless network") and use the exact same wireless network name, wireless security and password as the ISP router, correct?
Most users get the name of the network and password correct, but often miss the wireless security setting. If the wireless security settings on both routers do not match up exactly, you wind up with two networks, and not one "big" network like you probably want.
and...the AirPort Express is configured to operate in Bridge Mode, correct?
If you can confirm these settings....especially the settings for "create a wireless network" and wireless security....then we are ready to do the next test. Please post back on your progress.

  • How do I know if my account is active and working

I paid my annual fee to keep my spybot -webroot active. The icon disappeared. How do I know if I am still protected? Where do I look to see if my computer is being scanned etc. Not sure what my status is

Start your Airport Admin Utility and connect with
your AEBS, then select "Change Wireless Security"
Does it say something other than "Not Enabled" under
wireless security? If so, you are running encrypted,
if not, post back and let us know.
    This may also help:

    or this
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107921
When I open the Airport Admin Utility and click Change Wireless Security, it says WEP in Wireless Security option, does that mean the password and name I chose in the setup process is working then? I didn't see "Not Enabled".
I was just curious if it was working because when I turn on my computer, the internet is on, I don't have to choose to join my network or type in my password. When it said "remember password in Keychain" does that mean only my computer doesn't need to type in my password every time I turn on my computer to connect to the internet?
    Thank you for your help!

  • I am using a WD external hard drive for backing up my laptop with Time Machine, but I have to do it manually. How do I know when it has finished the back up? How long should it take?

I am using an external WD hard drive for backing up my laptop. I have to do it manually, so I can't set Time Machine to just do it for me. How do I know when it is done backing up? How long should this take?

Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:
    tmutil compare -E
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
The command will take at least a few minutes to run. Eventually some lines of output will appear below what you entered.
Each line that begins with a plus sign (“+”) represents a file that has been added to the source volume since the last snapshot was taken. These files have not been backed up yet.
Each line that begins with an exclamation point (“!”) represents a file that has changed on the source volume. These files have been backed up, but not in their present state.
Each line that begins with a minus sign (“-“) represents a file that has been removed from the source volume.
At the end of the output, you’ll get some lines like the following:
    Added:
    Removed:
    Changed:
These lines show the total amount of data added, removed, or changed on the source(s) since the last snapshot.

  • How do I know if my Mac Book Pro and iMac support Windows 7 64 bit

How do I know if my Macbook Pro and iMac will support Windos 7 64 bit? Macbook Pro is 2.26 GHz Intel Duo Core and iMax is 3.06 GHz Intel Duo Core? I need a software application that runs only on Windows

as i know, all the macs with intel CPU will run 64bit version of windows. so dont worry! but choosing 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows usually depends on how much ram you have unless you have to use some application that requires 64bit windows. if you have more than 3GB of ram go for 64bit.
