How does the query function on a Infoset?

Hi Gurus,
I have 3 ODS(GL ODS,Purchasing item,Purchasing Schedule Line).I have built an infoset on these ods.
Now my question is :
1)When i run a query on the infoset,what does the OLAP processor do?
The GL ODS is on the left hand side in Infoset and other 2 ODS are being joined with a left outer join.Does this mean that the OLAP processor goes into GL ODs first and then looks for corresponding records (in the Pur ODS) based on the Join conditions.

sorry for the late reply.I have another question.
In the same scenario,i have my infoset below a multiprovider and the selection parameters i have chosen are only available in FI-GL ODS.
Like i have chosen Ccompany Code and Fiscper as the selection parameters on the query,which are available only on FI-GL ods.
How would the OLAp processor behave in this scenario,please explain?
Ashwin,when i am using the Infoset the keyfigures are match.its that iw ould like to know how the OLAP processor fnctions?

Data Extraction from planning area to infocube usually its supports for full update only, when u r going to load the data from planning area to cube ,it deletes the previous data and u vil get the fresh data, this is the best method performance wise,
if u want to use the delta functionality u can go for planning area to Dso, Dso to cube, it vil supports the delta functionality, but it vil degrades the system performance,

How does the sync functionality work with large libraries?
Say I sync 100gb of photos with the new Photos app and turn on sync on a 16gb iphone. Will it fill the device up to 16gb? Can I tell it to limit to xgb so I leave room for music and apps? How does this work? Will it slow down my phone if its trying to sync 100gb across smaller devices?

"Will the Apple TV now read directly from the Time Capsule?" ATV does not 'read' from the TC. It connects to the Mac and itunes library associated with the Mac. Of course the itunes program can 'point' to a library on the TC. You'll still need to have itunes open and the Mac powered on and not sleeping with the TC mounted to the Desktop to use ATV properly. So bottom line the use of TC just adds one more step to view files on the ATV.

SharePoint key word query, how does the "Query Text" query special character in a query variable?

I have a no code sandbox solution, in a content by search web part, I want to return pages from the library except the page I am visiting.
I have 2 pages:
Page A, the title is: Page title without special character
Page B, the title is: Page title with special character "a b c d ..."
And then I use Title<>{Page.Title} in the query text of the CSWP.
While I visit Page A, the CSWP returns Page B, it works as expected.
But while I visit Page B, the CSWP returns nothing, expected result should be Page A. I just consider, whether the special characters in the Title of Page B breaks the query text.
I can not find similar topics in the forum, Does anyone have idea?

I have some updates, and found the root cause: if the field value contains special characters, the CSWP will not render the double quotation marks around the field value.
View the page html source, and then find the text "QueryModification", you will see what happen:
Query Text Input: Title<>{Page.Title}
1. While the page title is "Test Page 1" (without special character), the rendered query text is
Title<>\"Test Page 1\". It works as expected.
2. While the page title is "Test-Page-1" (with special character "-", of cause we have more special characters on production), the rendered query text is
Title<>Test-Page-1. The double quotation marks are not rendered by the CSWP, so the query text are broken. It does not work as expected.
If I make the query text as Title<>"{Page.Title}"
1. While the page title is "Test Page 1", the rendered query text is
Title<>\"\"Test Page 1\"\". It does NOT work since the
quotes are duplicated (no sure why CSWP duplicates the quota mark),
2. While the page title is "Test-Page-1", the rendered query text is
Title<>\"Test-Page-1\". Quotes are correct, but it does NOT work as expected still.
The expected rendered query text (view from the html source) should be

From the above information, I can say the CSWP not handle the special character correctly ("\" is not inserted before any special charactor).
Is there any setting in CSWP can be used to resolve above problem?

How does the TS_SeqFileSequenceNameExists() function work?

I am creating a TestStand Sequence file using CVI and would like to know the correct syntax for using the TS_SeqFileSequenceNameExists() function.
Basically what I'm trying to do is add a sub sequence to my file and if the sequence name already exists, change the name. So the code looks something like this:

//sub sequence doesn't exist... add it

you're logic is a little out - in your example code you are testing the error, not the bool "myTempVBool"
so something more like
(TS_SeqFileSequenceNameExists(seqFile,NULL,sub SequenceName,&myTempVBool));
if(myTempVBool == VFALSE)
//sub sequence doesn't exist... add it
else
//subsequence name already taken, change the name
NOTE :
You need to rename the object BEFORE you try to insert it. Have a look at the help file on
SequenceFile.InsertSequence where it says about the sequence must not already exist in the file. (Also don't forget to release the clone object when you've finished)

Could somebody please explain what steps go on in background to enable the query to decide which Infoproviders it should fetch data from in a multiprovider.Assuming that in the multprovider we have some infocubes that are logically partitioned by Fiscal Year and other cubes that are not.

Does the RRKMULTIPROVHINT technique work in case of a multiprovider that is not homogenous... Also in case there are 5 infocubes, does the select query run on fact table of all infocubes or are select queries run initially on the dimension tables and based upon which infocube has the required data for the query the fact table is queried..

How does the SignatureClear() function work?

I have read Javascript for Acrobat API Reference (8.0) and I'm still wondering how SignatureClear() works. Is it possible to clear a signature field with this? How? It is said that you can not work with it in Adobe Reader... but I have seen some other functions working despite of the Availability column: is it possible to use it in Reader?

I have not reviewed thew API documentation, but I can comment...
1) To "clear" or remove a digital signature, you need to have access to the "private" key (digital credential\certificate) that was used to generate the signature. This means that typically, only the signer can remove their own signature.
2) You cannot sign a PDF document with Reader, UNLESS the PDF has been "reader extended" with the "signing" permission that will enable the ability to sign a document with Reader. A PDF can be extended with LiveCycle Reader Extensions (server product) or with Acrobat Professional. I have nottried it myself, but I would assume that the "signing" permission would need to be enabled on the document to allow Reader to remove (clear) the signature, assuming agaion that Reader had access to the private key used to create the signature.

I have a report for which the o/p is displayed in ALV grid format.There is one column in the O/p strcuture which is "No of days".Based on certain conditions,i need to display the value for some of the days as Negative e.g. " - 45".Becasuse of this,I have declared the field for the "No of days" of the type "CHAR".
Now when i sort(using ALV grid SORT function) the list on basis of this column,it doesnt give me the correct o/p.
CAN anyone tell me how do i handle this?I want the list to be sorted correctly on basis of the "No of days" column.

Why are you moving all this data around and utilizing temporary tables instead of directly querying the underlying data on an 'as needed' basis?

SAP documentation states that it is possible to use Role Expert to do the following: for roles allows you to see if, or how much, a transaction is being used, when it was last used, and who used it.
My question is how without Audit Log or RBE?
Let me know if you have ever used this functionality and if it requires the SAP Back-End Audit Log to be turned on or RBE.

Hi Gary,
You dont need a RBE tool activation to get the successful transaction usage log with Role Expert.
Role Expert functionality allows you to log all the transactions that have been added/deleted to the role that is changed. Also when you create a new role via the Role Expert then automatically the transaction log starts.
If you go the "History" tab in the Role Expert, then you can find all the last changes made to the role.
Also you can go to the "Risk Analysis" tab to find the log of Risk Analysis performed with the added tcodes.

a) what does exactly trigger and execute the tRFC?
b) is it the ABAP runtime system itself, spawning the additional task in DIA?
c) if multiple tRFC LUWs have been recorded, they are all executed in parallel by this procedure!?
d) does the execution try to utilize all available DIA processes?
e) how do the rdisp/rfc_... parameter come into the game?
   are they evaluated? We have seen all DIA occupied by the tRFCs executed!

How does the project expiry date work?

I am looking to buy Captivate. But I first need to know how the project expiry date works.
I am currently producing a short course for a company in my area, but our agreement is that they get to use the short course for a period of 3 months. If I create the short course in Captivate, will I be able to set an expiry date on the project? For example, person A buys my short course. After 3 months (or however long) the course expires and he will no longer be able to open the short course. Is this what the expiry function does?
Also, does the expiry function work even if the project is copied from one hard drive to another? For example, if someone makes a duplicate of the project onto a friend's hdd, will both projects still expire after 3 months?

I have been a Articulate Storyline users for several years now and am new on the Captivate forum. Someone told me that Captivate can set an expiry date on the course content after being downloaded on an iPad for offline viewing (so without an LMS). In Articulate SL this is not possible unfortunately although a feature request has been made by quit a few. Situation is that I deliver course content to clients operating in remote areas (shipping). It is essential for me to have this feature and will seriously consider changing over to Captivate if this is true.
Could anyone help me out on this one?
