2) in Mac OS X 10.8.2, when I activate this same facebook contacts integration in settings, no problems all my FB contacts are integrated. BUT there is another problem ! Many facebook contacts haven't their profile photo added ! and the contact application for mac os x says : "L’opération n’a pas pu s’achever. (CoreDAVErrorDomain erreur 3)." (in french..)
So 2 different problems with my facebook integration can you help me please !

  • How do you remove facebook contacts from contact list in IOS 8?

Got a new 6+ today and it loaded all my facebook contacts in my contact list. How do you remove them. In IOS7 you used to go to settings/facebook/groups in upper left corner and uncheck face book, but its not there in IOS 8

    Hey mmoore216,
Great question! You can disable your Facebook contacts from syncing with your Contacts application in the following location:
iOS: Using Facebook, Twitter, and other social network accounts
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5500
    Sync contacts and calendars
iOS can sync your Facebook contacts and calendars with your device. This feature is off by default, but you can enable it in Settings > Facebook after adding your account.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • How do I add facebook contacts to my contact list

Hi, I need to know how to add my Facebook contacts to my contact list, thanks.

Facebook will be added in contacts as an addiitonal account separate form your others.
Cards for Facebook contacts that exist in your other account(s) will be linked but not compbined.
In otherwords, if you decide you don't want to turn off Facebook, you can turn it off and be right back where you started.

  • Can I use Facebook integration with Mountain Lion without adding all my Facebook contacts to my contacts in Mountain Lion?

I wanted to post a picture from email straight to Facebook....  Mountain Lion asked if I wanted to add all my Facebook contacts to my Contacts app...  Do I need to do that?  I'd like to keep that separated...

Yes, you can keep your facebook contacts out of your contacts app.
Open system preferences>mail, contacts, and calendars>(your facebook account)>contacts
There should be a check box for contacts, if you uncheck it, your facebook contacts/friends should not end up in your contacts app.
I'm not 100% sure, sorry, I don't have facebook integration activated on my Mac.

Hmmmm...maybe try deleting them again (I know it's a pain) and then doing a manual icloud backup (unless you already did this). Icloud may be putting them back on there. I never allowed FB to put the contacts on my phone lol. Also try going into Privacy and Contacts...make sure FB isn't on in there. Might be a few other spots to check under settings to make sure too. And...you might want to try deleting the FB app, do a icloud backup, and then reinstall FB

  • How can I add facebook contacts in a group in ios 6

Hi I need to know how can I add facebook contacts in a group in ios 6 without getting them in my contact list, thanks.

They are automatically put in a group called Facebook, and your other contacts in another group...if synced from a Mac, they will be labled From My Mac. In the contacts app you can chose what groups are visible: Contacts>Groups...add or remove the check by touching the group.

  • How do i unsync facebook contacts from my contacts?

i synced my facebook contacts to my iphone but now i want it removed. how do i do this? can anyone help me out

I am getting really frustrated with all these replies that say go to Settings>Facebook and turn off contacts.  I can't see Contacts anywhere when I go to Facebook under Settings. All I have is Chat and Message Alerts; Photo and Video and Push Notifications none of which have anything about syncing Contacts/Calendars

  • How to reverse adding Facebook contacts into phone book

I added my Facebook contact details into my phone book after being asked if I want it.  I misunderstood what it meant. How can I reverse it? Thanks

Look at the export file formats in Mail and then look inthe import function in Gmail and see what protocol matches. That isn't a OS X or Mac issue tall, its a Gmail issue and possibly better answered on an Gmail forum.

  • Q10 doesn't synch ALL my google contacts

    Hey there,
I am quite happy with my new Q10 so far.
However, my Google Contacts don't seem to synch all. Some have been synched, some don't. What is the problem here?
Any help is very much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Nikolaus

    Hello niklausthomale.
    Welcome to the forums.
Are all of your Google contacts listed under my contacts or do you have some of them sub categorized? If they are sub categorized then they will not sync with your device, only contacts in my contacts will be synced.
Hope this help. Have a good day.

  • How do I get Facebook contacts off of my phone after importing them?

I have the iPhone 5. I've tried to Google this fix, but the solutions don't work for me. I can go under Groups in the Contacts app and remove the check beside Facebook so that my contacts aren't shown, but is there anyway to erase them completely?

You go to Settings, scroll down, till you see Facebook. You can switch the contacts off. You won't see your facebook-friends in your contactlist anymore :)

  • How do I delete Facebook contacts

I'm trying to get rid of Facebook birthdays and contacts on both my iPhone 4S and ipad.
Settings- FB- Allow these Apps to use your account is turned off and updated but nothing changes

    Settings>Facebook...turn off contacts.

  • HT5500 How do I get all my facebook friends OUT of my icloud contacts?

This is a HUGE problem for me.  I don't know what setting I change to ull my facebook friend info into my icloud contacts files on all devices, but I want to reverse it and make them gone!!!!  GONE I say.  If someone thought this was a good idea and it was a universal update, they must have been on LSD.  I DO NOT want to look at the names of every person I've ever known when looking for critical numbers to do the business of my life...work, home and family.  That obscure person I saw at the the last high school reunion is just clogging up my contacts database and wasting my time.  WASTING MY TIME...is that what you want to do apple?  Stop changing things just to make them different!  If it aint broke, DON't fix it!  PLEASE!  Ever since Mountain LIon came out I am increasingly annoyed by these nuisance matters that demand my time energy and attention.
So, now that I have voiced my frustration, how do I get these facebook names OUT of my icloud contacts!  You tell us how to bring them in, but no where that I can find, how to get them out.  It's time to clear this up in a simple, easy to follow set of instructions.  Start with, do I do it on my imac or on my iphone, since I suspect it was an iphone setting that caused the problem.
I see no setting on the iphone to reverse this problem.  Please direct me.

Thanks to everyone for your replies.  I am continually amazed at how specific to each device these settings can be, or at least how specific they can seem.  chrisfromgastonia, I did figure out that unchecking contacts in the facebook settings on my iphones solved the bulk of the problem.  However, there wasn't a facebook groups to uncheck in my list of groups.  Likewise Smith121, there was no facebook account enabled in my contacts application on my computer, so I could not do that.  However, I do have another groups related question.  Ever since this last update pulled all my facebook contacts into my synchronized contacts, the groups function on my contacts doesn't work anywhere.  All that happens is that if I try to access a specific group, the check mark beside the name of the group gets unchecked.  I used to be able to select a group and then have the full list of members of the group come up and only those names.  No more, there is no accessing the members of the groups, only the names of the groups to look at which does NOTHING AT ALL to help me.  Any ideas?  Advice?

  • Mac OS X Mavericks do not sync all Facebook contacts

I'm using OS X (10.9.1) on a MacBook Air and I have added my Facebook account to the OS settings. The Contacts app did sync with Facebook but it didn't get all my Facebook contacts. Do I need to make any special configuration for that?

    Hi,
Those messages seem to refer to this http://www.wondershare.net/mac-android-manager/
I presume you have installed this ?
Whilst these sort of error notifications can marginally slow things, depending on the number of them and the frequency of them it is difficult to say how they might effect another app.
I doubt this one is effecting Messages directly.
It might and I stress might have some involvement with the Contacts App which Messages also looks at for the iMessages account and possibly for "Real Names"  in the Buddy list and Messages main window during chats and conversations.
    Lets try a different tack.
Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences again as in the earlier reply.
    Find com.apple.imagent.plist
    Drag this to the Trash.
It will need you to restart this App. However it starts up when the computer does.
This means you can stop it using Activity Monitor (Open the app in Applications/Utilities find the imagent item and use the Quit Button top left then confirm a Force Quit) Or Restart the computer.
This is a support app to Messages and FaceTime.
It holds some of the Account info so that the computer (those apps specifically) can "Listen" for incoming "calls" or Chat invites.
At this point they will start the apps up - without intervention from you -  if the apps settings allow it.
FaceTime just has to be set to On but not launched.
Messages has a setting in the General Section of the Preferences about being set to Off Line on Quit.

  • Can anyone help me with iPhone 6 and removing Facebook contacts?

I recently got an iPhone 6 and i recently set up a family sharing plan and now all of a sudden all my Facebook contacts are now in my contacts on my phone and I do not want that - they are mostly just email addresses and I manually have the one's I want in my phone already so don't want those Facebook email addresses in my contacts on my phone. When I go to edit them (they have an "F" by the picture) and go to the bottom it doesn't give me the Delete option, only to "link contacts". There are also some others I can delete and not sure where they are pulling from, but I only want the contacts I first set up and not all these extras...how do I get rid of them so it doesn't sync and keep adding them back please? I went under Settings/Contacts but turning that off removes most all my contacts...Please, any help is appreciated.

    Hi Gary Schnetter,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you may have enabled Contacts in your Facebook settings. You can navigate to Settings > Facebook to see these settings. Please use the attached article to use as a reference for this situation.
