How to access tools create or edit express vis in LV8.20 ?

Hi All,
I am a LabVIEW professional working in LabVIEW 8.20. I would like to know how Express vis are working and I am going thro' the Express vi developement manual. I don't find the item "create or edit express vis" from the Tools. How can I access it?
Any information to explain how express vi's are working also invited.

it is called "Express VI development" and it is located on the toolkit CD we got with our developer suite, so maybe it is part of that?

The pre-made templates are contained in the Pages application package. Any templates you create yourself are stored in HD > Users > [your account] > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. There is no separation of user created templates by Pages version. Those I created with Pages 1 & 2 are in the same place where my Pages 3 templates are & are all available to me in Pages 3. The only problem with this would be if you decide to use a previous version of Pages, you won't be able to access templates created with a newer version.

You can only access a third-party plug-in's "text frame" if they programmed scripting support into the plugin. You would have to contact the third party to know whether they included scripting support in their plugin.

How to access or create a stage in a class file

Hello Flash Actionscript writers,
I have recently discovered that I cannot use the "stage" in a
class file. I had a regular fla file that had actionscript
in my "actions" layer. Of course, the fla has a stage object.
I decided it might be nice to use the actionscript
I wrote (copied, stole, etc) in as a class, so I could use it
in different places, etc. I am still a neophyte in this area.
My new class file consists of a button and a textfield. I
created small classes for each of these items as an exercise for
myself on creating a simple class, etc.
I also have a URLLoader, and use an xmllist to do a sort of
mini-slide show. The idea is to show a button and the textfield.
When the user clicks the button the slide show starts. I would like
to be able to center the images loaded on the stage, along with the
buttons, etc. Right now I am cheating - since I decided the stage
is 500 px wide, etc. I can use 500 - myButton.width, etc to center
items. The fla where the class is called has a stage that wide,
etc. The swf created from the class file WeeklySlideShow.swf is
created from a fla with the DocumentClass set to my class
WeeklySlideShow.as.
I then have yet another fla file, and load my
WeeklySlideShow.swf into that file, and play it, etc. But my
buttons and images are not centered. Or should I just put my
actionscript class back into the calling fla as an actions layer,
thus having a stage where I can center everything. I probably have
a flaw in the items in my class file and am really miss-using the
class concept, etc.

A little more text explaining where you get stuck might help (tell us which wires you can figure out, and which ones you can't).
Anyway, if you never want this VI to give you a dialog, simply wire a FALSE constant to 'Advisory dialog?'.
If you wire TRUE to it, or leave it unwired, LV will give you a dialog if you want to open a file (specified by 'file path') and it does NOT exist, or if you want to create/replace a file and it DOES exist.
The file you actually want to open/create/replace is specified by the 'file path' input. If this is empty, LV will also show a dialog.
I am not sure what happens if you leave the 'file path' empty, and wire FALSE to 'Advisory dialog?', but that's easy to test.
In your case, to avoid a dialog always, make sure the 'file path' is
never empty and the 'Advisory dialog?' is wired to a FALSE constant.

You have to create a plan to connect to the external message source, get the message and parse , and finally put it in the ADC data object (user created object). After this step, all your incoming messages will be in ADC data object. Only after getting the message into ADC object, you can use this object - you can create reports using this object.

How to access the Custom Data type variable given in Expression edit control To and From LabVIEW

Hello, I would like to know how to access the custom data type variable given in the Espression Edit Control from LabVIEW and vice-versa
Say, the FileGlobals.Reference_Handle (Custom Data Type Variable) contains the
VISA I/O session (Which in turn contains VISA_DeviceName: String, Session: Number),
Channel1: Number and
Channel2: Number
I am expecting the user to give FileGlobals.Reference_Handle as the input at the ExpressionEdit Control in the edit screen of the VI Call.
I would like to know how to get the values of this custom data type to LabVIEW?
Say, if I have the Cluster in LabVIEW like VISA I/O session (Deive Name and Session Number), Channel1 and Channel2
how do i need to set this cluster to the Custom Data type variable in TestStand?

TestStand to LabVIEW: i didnt understand what you r trying to achieve. But if you are using references, Use Property nodes and Invoke nodes to achieve what you want in LabVIEW.
LabVIEW to TestStand: check the image below: You need to click the button next to 'container'. I have used a cluster output in the VI.

ADF Faces - How to create an editable rich table at runtime

JDeveloper version - 11.1.1.4.0
I have been trying to create an editable table (wherein the user can enter text into the input text boxes contained in the columns added at runtime). The values thus entered are to be captured in the backing bean for further processing.
Below are my attempts to achieve this in various ways but without success.
Attempt 1 : Created a Read-Only Dynamic table by dropping the view object instance from the Data Control. Here, the default being output text components, I used input text components and programatically make it updatable in the backing bean, which however, shows as an output text component.

I am able to

while deskuser is one of my OS user.
I believe it is a very easy question, however I just do not know how to access this user from sqlplus., please help

I m trying to build a POC for the manufacturing industry (Dairy Industry).
Hence I'm trying to install Microsoft Dynamics and access the tables available its OLTP and create a warehouse.
Please let me know how we access the database tables of Microsoft Dynamics to do etl (using any etl tool).
Then i would be creating reports and dashboard using OBIEE 11G.
I thought of getting help before installing microsoft dynamics so that i can install the necessary components to achieve the same.
Please let me know the necessary things i would need to do.

Some pages can be edit on the Business Catalyst Console, but, unfortunately, some other pages can't.
Why some pages and not others ?

I have try the edit mode with Firefox and Chrome and no one doesn’t work.
For the french pages, I must reload the page to have the blue blocks. And if I do that on an english one, it switches on the french one...

I have just checked at my end and it seems everything is working fine and I am able to edit even the English version pages.
Can you please try some other browser or in a different system to edit your site and check if you are able to do so.

I am using my own Custom Function authentication which will check against eBusiness login Username and password.
When I intially access I get below URL

In this URL I was entering eBusiness User Login details and I press OK Button
Then it is redirecting to below URL

and it throws below error
Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
Error ERR-7620 Could not determine workspace for application ().
OK
When I press OK button it is redirecting me to below URL again
http://ortest.eatonsteel.com:8010/pls/htmldb/apps.xxapplication_express_pkg.Launch_103_Application
In this URL again it shows login details. When I enter username and password this time it is logging into the Application correctly. And it redirecting to below URL
http://ortest.eatonsteel.com:8010/pls/htmldb/f?p=103:1:6916299608406263518
Initially when I am trying to access it will not connect.

Quite the newbie so I appreciate any assistance with this.
How do create "Oracle Application Express Adminstrator" in APEX 3.2.1? I am not talking about a workspace adminstrator but an Entire APEX instance administrator or "superuser"?
I log into APEX_ADMIN as ADMIN and understand how to create a new user. But how do I grant the new user DBA or "super user" privlidges? It was easy to do when I first installed XE, I would just "check" the "DBA" when I created the user. But when I upgraded to APEX 3.2.1 the function does not seem to be there?

I think you can not grant DBA role from Apex anymore.
You need connect to database e.g. with SYS user and grant that role.

Hmmm, I wonder if that window is hidden or off screen? Have you moved the pic window around to look under it?

Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...
