How to access Workflow Monitor
Hello,
We have installed and configured Oracle Workflow Server 2.6.3 with the Workflow Configuration Assistant (in a 10g database schema).
Now we want to access the Workflow Monitor but can't find
a clear description of the configuration steps.
Can someone provide us with the steps needed to setup / configure the Workflow Monitor.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Rich,
Can you please tell me where can I find the Middle Tier for OWF. We have installed Oracle Workflow as a stand alone product to support the Oracle Warehouse Builder.
I have installed the Oracle Work Flow Server 262 and configured the Browser. But whenever I try to view the process flow diagram a login window pops-up, after passing workflow schema user/password it complains about Monitor notinitiated.
Do I require Oracle9iAS to install the workflow middletier?
thanks

How to access Workflow variables in Form Designer?
Hello,
I am wanting to set certain subforms to readonly depending on which part of the workflow the form is currently on. I already have the JavaScript code working to set the subform fields to readonly, but now I cannot figure out how to trigger this and where do I keep a variable to keep track of which part of the workflow I am currently in.
I assume I will have a variable in the workflow itself and then I can use the Set Value QPAC to change the variable for each workflow step before it goes to the User QPAC, but what about within the form? I don't understand how the form javascript will know to execute, so how does my workflow "talk" to the form to set these fields to readonly?
Right now the JavaScript code is sitting in the root::initialize part of the form. I was assuming I could have something like "if my workflow variable is equal to XX then set this subform to read only". But, how do I access my workflow variable in the form designer?
Also, since I have digital signatures, I am having to pass all the form data in document variables, will this affect how I need to do this? I was also thinking of possibly accessing/setting a hidden field in the form, but thought the above way may be better.
I hope that made sense!
Thank you,
JenniferTo follow-up, I spoke with Adobe support this morning and they said that I cannot access Workflow variables within Designer (besides those Workflow variables that are already provided).
He mentioned that if I use the hidden fields, that I would need to Render the form each time before going to the User to trigger this to happen. So, I am not sure what I will do just yet. I probably not worry about making the fields readonly for the time being; it was a little extra thought I had and isn't required for our process.
Thank you,

How to access workflow variables from business classes?
In WLI2.1 the com.bea.wlpi.server.admin.Admin bean was useful to retrieve workflow
variables for a particular instance id.
Is there anything similar in 8.1?
We have to do the following:
In the workflow, when a particular task gets created, a user (claimant of the
task) should be able to pull the workflow xml data in a JSP. The user may update
the data from the JSP and then the updated xml needs to be saved in the workflow.
Then, onTaskCompleted, the updated xml will follow the rest of the workflow.
How to do this is 8.1?
Thanks in advance.Hi,
Pls check for setRequest/setResponse in task control and setTasksRequest/setTasksResponse
i task worker control. Hope this will resolve your issues as they have XmlObject
as parameter.

How can we access workflow status column out of the box (OOTB).
I have a problem that few of the workflows in production are failed at last stage have status set to "Workflow Errored". Someway I have fixed issue with workflow but I need to modify this status.
I tried adding a custom column and access workflow status column so that I can modify custom column as I want, and show this in views.
But I can't access this without using code, anybody has any idea?
My task is to modify workflow status which are errored out.You can rerun the workflow once you've fixed it up. This'll change the status to something more successful.

I've seen plenty of references to Oracle Workflow Monitor, but I've never paid much attention. Yesterday I got an error message from Control Center that instructed me to use Oracle Workflow Monitor to solve my problem (a process was running and needed to be shut down before regenerating).
But how to I use Oracle Workflow Monitor? Is it installed by default when OWF was initially installed with OWB? What URL do I use access it? If it does not run after the conventional OWB install, is there a How-To document available for configuring it?
To be clear, OWF seems to be set up and working. I have created and run process flows successfully. I've just experienced a weird problem that Control Center cannot seem to handle -- and I'm looking for answers. Frankly, I'm mystified at the lack of information on Oracle Workflow Monitor given that OWB error messages reference it and plenty of people seem to discuss it in technical forums.
Thanks,
DavidThanks Robert!
We are using OWB 11 on Oracle 11, but I'm going to press on and ask our DBA to install the OWF mid-tier components from the 10g Companioin CD. I don't think workflow has changed and so I'm hopeful.
(If anybody has experience, please chime in for the record.)
Thanks again!

When I try to re-deploy an updated Process Flow, it fails with the following error:
"RPE-02062: ItemType MERGERAW cannot be dropped as it has running processes. You must first abort all the running processes using the Oracle Workflow Monitor".
I have only installed OWF to use with OWB, and don't even think I have an Oracle Workflow Monitor! I located a session with username OWF_MGR and killed it. I have even rebooted the server, but the OWF_MGR session keeps coming back.
How else do I abort these running processes?Looking back at my installation notes for Oracle Workflow, I found that I could access the Oracle Workflow web services from the following URL
"http://<server_name>[:<port>]/pls/OWF_DAD/wfa_html.home" where OWF_DAD is the Data Access Descriptor defined during installation. If you connect using the owf_mgr user name / pwd that was created when installing OWF then the browser window displays "Oracle Workflow" and a list of hyperlinks. One of these is "Find Processes". Following this link and clicking the 'Find' button with Item Type=All selected, shows a list of process names and their status. From there I was able to see the process flow that was causing the problem and abort it. Deploying the process flow from OWB then worked smoothly. -

Error 403 when accessing workflow manager page after install
Hey,
I'm in the process of setting up a new workflow manager farm for my SP2013 environment.
At the moment I'm setting up the stage WFM farm which consists of only one dedicated server (meaning not running on a SP server). My live WFM farm will be made of 3 servers.
I've followed Harbar's guide located here:
http://www.harbar.net/articles/wfm2.aspx, and all was successfull until I tried to access the workflow page on
https://myserver.domain.com:12290 and got a 403.
I've checked that the Workflow Manager Backend, Windows Fabric Host Service, Service Bus Gateway and Service Bus Broker services are running.
Get-WFFarmStatus is also showing me everything running. In IIS, app pool and site are started.
I've tried ti access https://myserver.domain.com:12290 from the WFM machine, from a SP server and from my own laptop, same issue, I always get a 403.
Would you know how to troubleshoot this?
Thanks in advance and have a nice dayHi Fluidetom,
From your description, my understanding is that you got 403 error when you accessed workflow manager site.
Please run IE as an administrator(right-click IE ->run as administrator) on the WFM server, compare the result.
Please run the commands to check the workflow service account:
$Farm = Get-WFfarm
$Farm.AdminGroup
Make sure the account has local access to the server.

Please use .
When a task is executed, the container content is displayed in a dialog
box where changed container elements are flagged by a star. To switch
the container monitor off, choose Debug off in the container monitor.
The data displayed in the container monitor can also be found in the

Hi Folks,
I have installed workflow server 2.6.4.( I am using OWB 10g R2 which is accessing Oracle 10g Enterprise edition R2). I have installed workflow middle tier too successfully. I was told that installing workflow middle tier will help in better monitoring the process flow.I have downloade and installed workflow client too.
I am unsable to find 'workflow monitor' for which I went through the above exercise. Can anyone point me in right direction so as I can start using workflow monitor to analyse/monitor my process flows.
ThanksHi,
look at http://<machine-name:7777>/pls/wf/wfa_html. You must log on as the workflow-owner which you had configured after installing the workflow server.

How to access Oracle Apps 11i forms using Vmware Player?
Hi,
I have installed Oracle Apps 11i on native OS OEL5 Server and guest OS Windows XPP using Vmware Player. Now how to access Oracle Apps 11i forms from Windows XPP using Vmware on my OEL5 Server Desktop?
Thank's
Regard's
RerryHi,
If you mean how to access eBusiness Suite from within the Virtual Machine, then you just navigate to the same URL you normally would. You may need to put the machine alias in your hosts file if you are referencing it via machine name rather than IP address.
If you mean that you want to load the form in forms builder (for example) then you need to FTP the form from server to client (as you normally would) and then open it in your client (XP virtual machine).
If you want to use Workflow Builder (as per your original requirement) then you need to ensure that the TNSNAMES.ora file in the Workflow Builder home has an entry for your instance on Linux, and then you should be able to connect to the database directly.
HTH,
Matt
