  • Changing controlling area from single company code to cross company code

    Hi,
Due to my client requirement, in the middle of the year, we need to change the controlling area from being same as company code to cross company code controlling area. Although the currency is same. We are going to create a new company code. Is the changing controlling area settings possible to do? what are the precautions and changes need to be taken?
One more question, we need to change the company code when the new company code is created in the system in Cost Center Masters in the middle of the year. Is this possible after changing controlling area from single company code to cross company code. Right now company code is not appearing in the cost center master.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
If both companies having transaction data its not possible,Normally before defining Organisational Strucutre only we have to deside both companies is assigning same controlling are or have to maitain separately for this we have to compare the Fiscal year,Operating chart of accounts ,if both having same then we will assign both the company codes to one controlling area if these two companies having different currencies also its not a problem. When we creating Controlling Area we have to choose option of controlling area as same company code (if one company code one controlling Area) for example if you assigning two companies then we have to use cross company code cost accounting. If u need any further information let me know.

  • How to use Cross Company Code document  number as Reffrence.

    Hi
Actually user wants to post the same debit credit line items with Editing the amounts which he has posted last month
So i suggested him to use post refference of the previous month document number.
Since that is Cross company document number. There is no source to give  in T.Code FBR2. There is a fecility to give only document number of a company code not cross company code.
Assume that there are 3 company's involved in that document.
    company  X --- 25 line items
    company  Y -- 75 line items
    Company  Z -- 100 line items
Since he given in header data X Co code it has generated the Cross company code document number 1000X 08 ( which means 1000 is doc.number X is company code 08 is year. This is sap standard cross company code doc number format)
    and individual document number is
    X - 1000
    Y-  2000
    Y-  3000
If he post with the reffrence of X company only 25 lines will come remaining 175 line he as to post manually.
If he take Y Doc number  only 75 lines will come
If he take Z Doc number  only 100 lines will come
To bring all lines there is no provision to give Cross company Doc number.
Please advice how to use cross company doc number as refference.

  • Cross company code txn

    Hi,
I have to create a report on cross company code transactions, can any one let me know how to do this?
I have never worked on cross company code transactions can any one explain me about it.

    Dear Sultan,
You can use report RFBVOR00 to display cross-company code transactions.
    Cross-Company code transactions:
A cross-company code transaction involves two or more company codes in one business transaction. Examples:
One company code makes purchases for other company codes (Central Procurement)
    a. One company code pays invoices for other company codes (Central Payment)
    b. One company code sells goods to other company codes
A cross-company code transaction posts to accounts in several company codes. This cannot be done by posting only one document because a document is always assigned to exactly one company code. Instead, the system creates and posts a
separate document in each company code involved. In order to balance debits and credits within these documents, the system generates automatic line items which are posted to clearing accounts, for payables or receivables.
The documentswhich belong to one cross-company code transaction are linked by a common cross-company code transaction number.
Hope the above information helps you to understand Cross - Company Code Transactions

  • Derive profit center in cross company code transaction into clearing items

    Dears,
I have one condition where I want to copy profit center from first line item to second line item in a cross company code transaction for example.
I have two company codes XX10 and XX20
two profit centers XX50 for company code XX10 and XX60 for company code XX20
I am creating cross company code transaction. Now I want when giving XX50 for company code XX10 so upon creating cross company line items this profit center given in first line be copied automatically in the cross company code line item accordingly.
    example:
Dr company code XX10 with profit center XX50
Cr company code XX20 with profit center XX60
    Required:
These profit centers be copied automatically in the cross company line items automatically. I am using same controlling area as the company code not cross company codes.

Ya right , but when i am trying to post the enteries ,  the clearing item is having different profit center ( i.e which i have assigned in the t.code FAGL3KEH ), but  the vendor line item is still taking the dummy profit center.
Vendor line item should actually take the profit center from the clearing line item ... but it it not taking ..

  • Cross-company code postings - FI validation

    Hi,
We start using the cross-company code postings (transaction OBYA) between company code A and company code B and have to give authorizations both company codes to the Finance users. The idea is to have a set of G/L accounts which are allowed to be used when company code A and B are posted via cross-company code posting.
SAP recommends to implement a validation in FI to restrict the Intercompany scenatios. I attempted to create a FI validation for complete document (call-point 3) with no success:
    1)
    IC Rule: BSEG-BUKRS = A and BSEG-BUKRS = B and BSEG-HKONT IN ACCOUNTSET
    Prerequisite: TRUE
    Check: IC rule
Message: E-  Account & not allowed for cross-company postings
When I test it, the Intercompany clearing account configured in OBYA, and which is in ACCOUNTSET, shows up in the error message, which unwanted.
    2)
    IC Rule 1: BKPF-BUKRS = '0017' AND BKPF-BUKRS = '0005'
IC Rule 2: BSEG-HKONT IN ACCOUNTSET
    Prerequisite: TRUE
Check: IC Rule 1 --> IC Rule 2
Message: E-  Account & not allowed for cross-company postings
No error message is issued at all, even if the G/L account is not in ACCOUNTSET.
Please advise what I am missing.

    Hi Nitin,
    Thank you for your feeback.
I just wanted to clarify that the cross-company code posting is when company code A can intitiate a posting to company code B simultaneously (for example Intercompany re-charge, cash concentration, etc.). The trigger for cross-company code posting is the company code field on the line item. If company code A is in the header (BKPF-BUKRS) and at least one document line item filled up as company code B, the system created two documents for each company code, offsetting the Intercompany clearing account, configured in OBYA.
    For example:
Posting via FB50: Leading company code = company code A (BKPF-BUKRS)
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 1; Amount 200; Company code A (as a default)
Item 2: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 2; Amount 100; Company code B (manually changed)
    Item 2: Credit; G/L account 2;                        Amount 300; Company code A (as a default)
    The systen creates two postings:
    Posting 1: company code A
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 1; Amount 200;
    Item 2: Credit; G/L account 2;                        Amount 300;
    Item 2: Debit ; I/C Clearing Account;              Amount 100;
    Posting 2: company code B
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 2; Amount 100;
    Item 2: Credit;I/C Clearing Account;              Amount 100;
The only connection between the two is the cross-company code number (BKPF-BVORG), which assigned by the system once posted, as a logical connection.
I guess we could use a dedicated document type. If that's the case, how would the validation work then?
Coudl you please share more details on the BTE option?
    Thank you,
    Inna

  • How to configure Funds Transfers, Cross Company Code Vendor Payments, Bill

    Hi All,
Can any one help me, How to configure Funds Transfers, Cross Company Code Vendor Payments, Bill of Exchnage Payments with Automatic Payment Program?
    Regards
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
This is what you need to do to configure <b>Cross Company Code Vendor Payments</b>.
Execute transaction code <b>OBYA</b>, when prompted, type in 1st coy code, say A and then 2nd coy code, say B. This would take you to the "<b>Maintain FI Configuration: Automatic Posting - Clearing Accounts</b>" screen.
In the first frame, where you have
    Posted in : A
    Cleared Against : B
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
    In the second Frame
    Posted in : B
    Cleared Against : A
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
So, if you are using the <b>Customer/Vendor</b> approach, company A must be set up as both a Customer(Use Txn Code <b>XD01</b>) and a Vendor(USe Txn Code <b>XK01</b>) in Company B and vice versa.
Once you have completed this set-up, you can then use transaction <b>F.13</b> and/or <b>F13E</b> to carry out your automatic clearing. Alternatively, whenever Payment Run is executed via transaction code <b>F110</b>, this would automatically clear out the payables and receivables in each company code.
However, if you intend to use the G/L approach, then the account numbers would be Inter-coy G/L account for each coy code as defined in the chart of accounts.
    I hope the above helps.
Do not forget to award the points please.
    Regards,
    Jacob

  • Cross company code validation in CO Area

    Dear All Experts,
I am having one query regarding cross company code validation in CO area. I have ticked Cross company code validation in controlling area, and it is working perfect.
we have total 11 company codes. 10 for US & 1 for Canada. Say 1001 to 1010 US company codes & Canda it is 1101.
    The requirement is :-
Now client wants to post cross company code transaction within these 10 US company codes and it should not throw an error  ( Ideally which is giving right now ). It should give error only when posting to US company code transaction and Canada Cost Center or Internal Order.
Can we restrict the company code for cross posting validation ? OR Can selected company codes set for validation indicator ?
Experts guidance will be great on this.
    Regards,
    Sharvari Joshi.

    Dear,
    Murali.
    Thanks for your reply.
As you said :- Validation check applies for all the company codes which are assigned to your controlling area.
Means simply we can not apply this option to selective company codes, Right ?
Once it is ticked it is applicable to all company codes.
    Regards,
    Sharvari Joshi.

  • How to break the document line items in cross company code document

    Hi,
Currently the cross company code posting is summing up all the line items and posting as a single line item as long as the line items are having the same tax code.
The system will break the line items only if there are non-identical tax codes. How can i change this default behaviour to break the line items in all cases?
    http://wikisend.com/download/436966/2.zip

It is the standard SAP behaviour to sum up all the identical tax code values.

  • Payment term is not being pickedup in cross company code transaction

    Dear Friends,
In one of the cross company code transaction scenarios (MIRO), We post a invoice in HQ books to bill on outside vendor. In subsidiary books one more cross company code document will get generated automatically, as billing on HQ as a vendor. In that second document, payment term is not being pickedup.
eg., A is HQ and B is subsidiary company
I post invoice in A books as B account debit and outside vendor credit.
In B books one more entry will get generated automatically as GRIR account debit and A (defined as vendor in B books) account credit.
In B Books payment terms are maintained in vendor master record (A vendor).
But still the payment terms are not being pickedup in that document. Because of this, it is taking the document date itself as net due date.
Please suggest, how to proceed to pick some payment term in that document.
    Regards
    Suresh

    Hi
Assign the payment terms in Purchase Organisation level in Vendor Master Record.

  • Transfer posting of tax in a cross company code transaction thru' RFBUST10

    Hi,
I have a doubt regarding using the program RFBUST10 transferring the tax in a cross company transaction.
I have posted an invoice entry as below and I want to transfer the tax posting of 7.00 from company code 1 to company code 2 using the program RFBUST10.
    Cr - 31 - 3rd party vendor - total amount of invoice co code 1 - 214.00
    Dr - 40 - expense account - 100.00 co code 1 - C7 (Tax code at 7%)
    Dr - 40 - expense account - 100.00  to co code 2 C7 (Tax code at 7%)
I have successfully posted and the tax amount of 7.00 is also transferred from company code 1 to company code2 but now I have 2  problems:
    1) The program (RFBUST10)  is permitting to transfer  tax for the same cross- company code document multiple times. Please let me know how to track whether the cross company code document is already processed for transfer posting of tax.
    2) In the transfer posting document as below ,the  tax code in the first line item (clearing account) is defaulted to C0 , I would like to know from where this tax code defaults, I have not maintained the default tax code in the GL master.
    Dr - 40 clearing Account 107 - C0 (tax code 0%)
    Cr- 50 clearing account 100 - C7(tax code at 7%)
    Cr - 50 Tax account 7  C7
Please let me know how to resolve these issues.
