How to add steps to a script?

Hi All,
We are trying to prepare web based functional test scripts for Oracle Universal content management system(UCM) using Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications 8.40(previously e-test). We have some 100 test cases and we want to have a single script for all these test cases. The problem is I am unable to find a way to create a any sub group of test cases under "script"( the root node). For example when record a check-in process I have some 10 "pages" I want to group all these pages for easy maintainability and quick understanding of the test results. Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi,
Yes I have explored this option but this is not very easy to maintain as we will be creating a separate script for each and every test case and you are adding them to the job as "read-only" . When some of the test cases are login based like check-in we can not check-in a item with out loging in to the content server. Its very hard to maintain and create scripts for every test case.
Any further insight into this issue would be very helpful.

how do I add steps to the process in SPRO->Objective Setting and Appraisals->Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template?
any time I try to add a status/substatus to the process it is added as a process phase, not a step.

I found that when I select the phase and then try to add the step it works.
i used to select the process, and that is why the step was added as a phase.

Go to SM37 >> Select Job name >> Change mode >> STEP >> Create step (Add other steps)
OR
Create a new job with all steps and remove the old one.

you have to set condition like after some number of records displayed in page new page has to be trigger.
ex:YOU HAVE SO MANY RECORDS FOR PRINTING BUT YOU WANT TO DISPLAY 100 RECORDS IN FIRST PAGE REMAINING IN SECOND PAGE LIKE THAT.
Here you can use NEW PAGE COMMAND .

Bit stuck here,
Not sure what forum to put this is as it involves different subjects,
I work in a Server 2008 RT environment and have access to Active Directory etc.

Now, I'm not particularly sure what to do here, I don't know how to create a group policy etc. How to implement it in a test environment etc. Never done this before.
Can somebody give me a step by step guide on literally everything that would be involved in this?

I basically want the AD to show who was the last user that logged into a specific client when the client named is searched for in the Computers OU, and if possible being able to pull the make/model and serial number from the client aswell.
If possible there should be a way of including this with the existing login script that we already have, how can I do this?
I've tried a few so far and got stuck, I have domain admin priveledges also.

Calling ABAP Subroutines: PERFORM
You can use the PERFORM command to call an ABAP subroutine (form) from any program, subject to the normal ABAP runtime authorization checking. You can use such calls to subroutines for carrying out calculations, for obtaining data from the database that is needed at display or print time, for formatting data, and so on.

Hi guys, how to add a Field array to the Step Variables?

Do you mean how to add properties to a Step Type?
Steps are instances of Step Types so you can not add properties. If you need to add property to say a Numeric Test Limit step type, then you have to create a Custom Step Type based on a Numeric Test Limit Step Type then add your additional properties. Check out the TestStand documentation for Custom Steps Type.
Depending on your needs you might beable to use the Add Attributes to meet your requirements, depends on what TestStand version you are using. This could save you the bother of having to create your own step type.

I don't think OO does result parameters. To be honest, I've never really liked them due to the way that the outcome definition is so far removed from WF. This makes it easy for someone to change the domain without updating the WF and mess things up. There's no simple "where used" that tells an ABAPer about such usage in WF.
So just bind back a value and check it in a separate condition step. Or use exception classes. If they are subclasses of CX_BO_ERROR they will automatically appear as outcomes. Which way you choose is a matter of semantics - if the results are 'nonstandard' situations then they could be exceptions. If it's a set of choices then a condition will do. There's no major performance hit for a condition or container operation step.
