How to avoid users forward automatically emails to external domains

Hello
In the user preferences for the email, the user can create new server side rules for his account. One of this rules can be "forward every received email to another account". We would like to restrict this possibility to only our local domain. That is, if one user goes on holidays, he would be able to forward his emails to my_colleague@our_domain.com. But we don’t want to allow a user to resend permanently and automatically all his emails to my_personal_account@external_server.com
I don’t know if it is possible to restrict this option, and how can we do it. Thanks in advance for any hint.

I understand that the way to achieve this might be something like:
1) develop a custom email trigger (as per http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/edq/DQSAG/triggers.htm#sthref34)
2) have the EDQ administrator deploy the email trigger to the EDQ server
but does anyone already have experience or even an example of this.
Alternatively, is it possible to achieve this simply using a 'Script' processor in a process (which would avoid having to develop custom code that sits outside of EDQ projects)?
In what circumstance would one need to configure a match processor's 'Relationship Decision trigger' (under Advanced Options)?
As some background to this question please note that we are in fact using the 'Case Generator' processor that is part of 'EDQ-CDS - Data Quality Health Check Connector for EBS TCA'. This processor is used to generate cases that are in fact nothing to do with matching records per se (which I believe is the 'typical' use for match processors) but from records that have some data quality issue (e.g. a null value for some attribute that should be populated).

If you enable email notifications on the server, users will automatically get emails in the following events:
- The user is assigned a case (this will be an email per case - so be mindful of volumes)
- A case that the user has assigned to them is updated
- If a user 'created' the case (only possible for real-time cases where the user generated the case from real-time screening after user-specific authentication), the user is emailed on update to the case.
If your requirements go beyond this (for example you cannot use assignment to user as the point at which you want a user or group to be notified), you may need to use triggers, which will require some specialist assistance.

How to recover user accounts and email after clean (not upgrade) server reinstall

I have a OSX Mavericks Server 3.1.2 that has developed issues than only a clean install will resolve. I have a large number of user accounts and email data that needs to be reinstated after the the clean install and I am not sure if Migration from a backup is the best way to reover the user data. Someone p[lease tell me that I dont have to recreate all the user accounts and restore the email directories manually! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to send and receive email for external domain

Hi,
I just installed Exchange Server on my 2K8 domain controller. I have set up the send connector and made necessary changes to the receive connector as well. I have updated the DNS records as well on my domain registrar. I can access OWA from outside my companies
network and is able to send and receive emails for my domain but unable to send or receive emails to any other domain. I have checked the delivery report and it says that the message has been queued on the server.
I also did nslookup. Results mentioned below:

According to your description, I notice that you installed Exchange server on a DC.
It is not recommended to install Exchange server on a DC. I suggest install Exchange server on a member server. More details to see:

About your issue, cannot send and receive externally, I suggest make sure the DNS can be resolved first.
Then, check whether Outlook Anywhere has been enabled. If not, please enable it on both Exchange server and Outlook client side.
Last, try to configure both Send Connector and Receive Connector.
More detailed error message will be helpful for the further troubleshooting.

How to avoid messages going automatically to the archive folder in Apple Mail?

Dear list members, I've been using Apple Mail (version 7.3 (1878.6)) on my MacBook Pro 13" (9,2) (MacOS 10.9.4) for years to integrate my GMail, university, and other e-mail accounts in the imap mode. Since some weeks, Mail is behaving odd: some messages are sent automatically to the archive folder. That's quite annoying, as I have to move them manually back to the inbox folder, and sometimes I mess some messages. I did not change any config in Apple Mail or my e-mails servers. Could you please help me solve this problem? Thanks.

The Archive folder in Apple Mail is linked to the All Mail "label" in Gmail. A label is treated like an IMAP folder, but it really isn't the same thing.
In case you weren't aware, Gmail saves every email you send or receive inside the All Mail label. In Gmail, you can tag a file with multiple labels. So, a file that comes into Gmail appears in two places at once, the Inbox and All Mail. When you trash a file, the Inbox label is removed, but it still remains in All Mail.
Previously, the All Mail label was hidden from you in Mail. Apple has been trying to make Mail work with Gmail, but that hasn't been going well.
I have never had a problem, but I have both Gmail and Apple Mail set up such that any email I trash actually gets deleted and not stored on the Gmail server. I also have it set to no display the All Mail folder at all. This may not be a fix as others have similar setups, but have problems with Gmail.
This is how I set it up. I followed the original article, not the Part Deux article. However, you don't need to change the IMAP path prefixes or the label names in Gmail settings. I just have the part where I configured it to delete the emails when I trash them, and hid all the Labels I didn't care to see in IMAP.
Remember, this may not resolve your problems. I don't know of another "fix."

How to avoid user from entering new price condition in return order

We are facing a scenario where we make return order; the Price is copied from the invoice. And it is working perfectly. The system does not allow us to change the price.
The issue we are facing here is that user can input new condition like discount /premium and change the net value for the return order pricing, and this will reflect in the credit note for returns.
Is there a way to restrict the user from entering any pricing condition in the header or item conditions tab.
although we cannot change the original price coming from invoice referenced for return order, but the user can input new price conditions as below. This must not be allowed.
The price must come according to the Qty being referenced.
While making the credit for returns, the user has a chance of further making changes to the net value by adding new conditions. Hence this must also be restricted for any changes.

okie .... i will tell briefly what is the problem ....
Take a scenario wherein a user has logged into my application and he is performing a task which will put his user id and his employee id into the session. Then he opens another window by using either ctrl+n or through files->new window.
So now a new browser will open but the session will be same ..... in this newly opened browser, user performs some operation which will remove the user id and employee id from the session .... Now if he again comes back to the first window and tries to do some operation, then a null pointer exception will be thrown saying that the employee id is null .... because he has deleted that in the newly created browser ..... to avoid this situation what can we do ???? can you please help me in this regard ??? you got my problem right !!!

The Pop up you are getting is Standard Behavior in 9.0
System is asking whether you want to assign any User Code to this Employee or not.
If you want to add any User Code to this New Employee Master then Press "OK" else Press "NO" to Add New Employee Master Data.

I think that a response to an entry you make when it was turned on, the flag is tied to that entry. So you may need to wait it out until the whole post fades away. New posts will not have the flag, since you have turned it off.

How to Setup User Folders Automatically when the user is being created

I am setting up a new Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition with Full/GUI install.
Q.1. Is there a way to create User Folders on Data Drive (D: Drive - OS is installed on C) automatically as I create Users?
Q.2. Additionally can these folders be assigned appropriate permissions automatically?
Q.3.What is the best approach If appropirate permissions are not assigned automatically. I have drive D: as a share with Full permissions to all. Is there a better way.

Hi,
Not sure you mean local computers or domain environment. In domain, we can create folder redirection GPO.
With this policy we can redirect folder to a shared folder or another local drive.

How to avoid user locking

hi,
when a user tries to login but enters serveral time a wrong password the account get locked. is it possible to change this behaviour (I mean beside entering the right password) so that the account will not be locked?

Hi Michael,
I dont think there a parameter which prevent locking users when wrong password is entered several times. But as the above post says you have a workaround. Set the parameter login/fails_to_user_lock to a high value. It can take a value from 1-99 , logically nobody will enter wrong password 99 times the same day
Every time the user enters a wrong password the counter is raised for that users master record. When the limit set by this parameter is surpassed, the user is locked. The lock becomes invalid at the end of the current day depending of login/failed_user_auto_unlock s value ( if value is 1 lock is released at the end of the day )
You can put the value for login/fails_to_user_lock in default profile (RZ10 --> Defaulr.pfl --> change ) . But I dont recommend doing this.This is a security violation , user id should get locked after entering wrong password few times. Then you can make sure that the system is being used by the right person and somebody cant login to the system by trial and error method.
The above procedure is for ABAP system .. I see you have posted this in JAVA forum, I am not sure about the Java procedure.

I am facing issue in BOBJ portal. we are trying to run report in portal and its working fine and running ME23N transaction from that report.
Once we click on ME23N transacation from that report its opening new pop up window and data showing perfectly .
But after close that pop up window and go back BO or BI TAB in portal its asking uid and password.
But first time it's not asking. If I log out and login again then it will work but after run and close the pop up window and come back to BI or BO tab again is asking user ID and Password.
I checked all Log on tickets and validity period and system connections every thing fine.
Could you please Help me ...

How to restrict users sending/receiving mails to other domains in NMS

In an Extranet where five domains are there, how can I prevent users to send mail only between three domains from rest of the two domains, they should not have access. sometimes sending mail fails from the same host with multiple domains.

There is a provision in admin module where by the admin can deny or grant access to a user or a group of users for accessing or being denied.
It could be a service ,username or domain name to customize the users previlieges.

If they are "deleted" emails, shouldn't you just empty the Trash in Mail?
I don't think you can move the storage location of the data files used by the Mail app, because they are stored in the Library folder of your user home folder, which is located on the startup disk (the internal drive volume) by default. You can change the location of your entire user home folder, but you don't want to put it on an external drive volume, because there may be situations (especially for a MacBook) when the external drive is not connected.
If you have a lot of stuff in your iTunes library, you may want to move your iTunes Media folder to an external hard drive volume, as a way to free up space on the internal drive
