How to Caching the querry results

Hi All,
We have a requirement of caching the particular query results and get the results from the cache whenever the query is executed by user.
Let me explain clearly. we have a high level complex query which runs on the BW cube(BW 3.5). The query is having the lot of structure elements and each element is restricted and calculated with no of characteristic values. That means the query needs to read each and every detail of the data to get the output. Because of that aggregates are no longer useful. The query will takes 30-45 min for each run. Due to no of users running the report some time it is timed out.
Is there is any way we can run the report and save the results in some caching. so that when ever the user runs the query it should bring back the results from caching.This will save lot of users time.
Appreciate any kind of info on that.

Consider also that you are in 3.5 release, so you can try to use also APD functionalities. You can save into a structure the result of the query, and the built a more simple query on this structure with all result already stored at an aggregate level (for every detail of the structure elements).

With standard payroll deletion (PU01), SAP will not allow payroll results to be deleted if it already reaches certain steps of payroll process (e.g. Pre-DME, DME); instead, you would have to do payroll a void or payroll reversal. This utility doens't check for that, and only delete payroll results based on the criteria given. This therefore could cause inconsistency in production if your payroll process already surpasses certain steps.

How to display the search result without reloading the whole page

I have separate fragments for Search Box to enter keyword and Search Result to display the result. Also I have different sections within the page to put these fragments. So how could I display the results without reloading the whole page.
Also if I have next button in my search result area, how could I display the search results in next page without reloading all other sections present in our page. Please let me know if any service or idoc function present such that result could be shown in search result section without reloading whole page.
Please let me know how to restrict page reload for every action within a page.

This is default behaviour of the template of your space. You can create a new page template and than you can create a region for the search results.
Or you can create a custom taskflow were you use the webcenter taskflows to search for the space.

How to hide the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search pop

I need to hide the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search popup. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
This popup is used when the user is on a query (rendered by the af:query component) and they select click the "Save..." button. The have three options, Set as Default, Run Automatically, and Save Results Layout. I have an implementation that supports everything except saving the layout. So I need to hide that checkbox.

Attach the questionaire to the Activity...
ELM the file that you received
Process the file filling up answers on the activity questionaire...

I am finding trouble to display the Viewobject result size on my jsff page. I have dragged a view object on to JSFF as Updatable ADF table. I would like to print the result size on top of the table. So any one have any idea how to acheive this?

what is exactly your question?
#{bindings.TestVO.estimatedRowCount} should give you the total number of rows matching your query, not the fetched size.
Internally estimatedRowCount fires a select count(*) from (your query), so you should get the number your are looking for.

How to cache the objects MANUALLY?

some o-r mapping tools can cache the objects that have been queried,then next time these objects are required,it don't need to access the database again,it can also monitor the database updating.
i wonder how i can implement such "cache" function MANUALLY? because i DON'T want to use ANY o-r mapping tools. i only use the jdbc to query database,then generate the object.
who can give me some clue?? or articles? or sample codes??

the dao pattern can encapsulate the database
access,but it can NOT cache the object .First you need to define how the caching occurs.
- Can the data in the database change without going through your code?
- Are there multiple copies of your app running at the same time. If yes then what happens if one is updated?
- How many of these can there be and what impact will this have on memory?
- etc.
You also need to identify the 'identity' of an object.
A simple strategy....
- Some layer requests an object using the 'identity'.
- The database layer code looks in a hash for the 'identity'. If it finds it it returns it.
- If it doesn't find it it uses a DAO to load it, then puts it in the hash, then returns it.

How to get the entire result into an XMLDocument??

I would like to get the result of a DB Query as XMLDocument. Here's the code I use:
ResultSet rset = stmt.executeQuery();
OracleResultSet orset = (OracleResultSet) rset;
while (orset.next()) {
XMLType poxml = XMLType.createXML(orset.getOPAQUE(1));
Document doc = poxml.getDOM();
The problem is, that I can only get a XMLDocument per table row, but not an XMLDocument of the entire result.

I got the answer myself:
In the xsql-query, use the xmlagg() function to group the all records into one record.
Use the same Java code.
