How to centre div contents?

I know this might seem like a very simple question but how can i get the contents/images of the div (#thumbs_vases) to sit central within the div whatever the screen size but at the same time, when the screen size gets small enough the images stack beneath each other still remaining in the center of the div? Currently they do stack beneath each other when screen reduces in size but they sit to the left.

1. Add text-align: center; to the container (in your case #thumbs_vases.)
2. Remove float from the elements inside and add display: inline-block; to them (in your case #thumbs_vases p.)

  • How to centre Flash content in browser window?

    Hi there
    I'm relatively new to Flash, so maybe there's a simple answer to this one.
    How do I centre my Flash content horizontally in the browser window? In the Publish Settings I see there are options to align the HTML to Default, Left, Right, Top and Bottom, but no Center. Is there a setting somewhere else? Do I need to write some ActionScript to do this? (If so, what?)
    I'd appreciate any suggestions.
    (I'm using CS3 on a Mac.)

    OK, I'm fumbling around a bit here. I see now that the Flash content does resize to fit the window. So, back to my original question: how can I get it to keep its original size but stay centered horizontally in the window?
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to insert the contents of a link in a div container?

    Hi,
    I try some layouts with CSS templates having sidebar. My problem is that when I click on the link (defined as <a href="my_text.htm">Link one</a> for example a new window appears with the contnets of the file. How do I select as target the container of a div tag?
    I tried some javascripts but the result is always the same, the link opens in a new window.
    Thanks in advance
    Chris

    How do I select as target the container of a div tag?
    Using the advanced features of TTM - create a div at the foot of the page. Insert your content into it.
    Link your text in TTM. to the div. Set the positioning, height and width parameters where you want the div content to be displayed on the same page.
    When the page is viewed the div at the bottom of the page is hidden.
    When the TTM link is clicked or moused over the div and its contents appear at the position you set

  • How to wait for content rendering in a Div

    How can i check the status of a div content, whether the content is completely rendered or not?
    sekhar

    I have already tried WaitForControlReady Method. The thing is the content inside div is dynamic. We can't compare it using any of  InnerText , HelpText or DisplayText property.
    This Div tag consists of spans and child div's. The Content of these child elements consists MathJax content(For displaying mathematical eqtns/graphs etc..).

  • How to centre the html pages & How to set the Index as Homepage (just upgraded to CS5 and am lost)

    Hi
    Ive just upgraded to CS5 and am a bit lost!!
    1st Problem
    I updated our website design (which was previously designed in fireworks using CS3) using Fireworks CS5 and exported the images etc as html and loaded into the website folder.... however now Im in dreamweaver and ive tried centring the page, but when I go into live view, its aligned on the left....
    My method.... I open the page, I select the 'table' then in the property box, under Align, i click 'Centre'.  This was how i centred in the older version.
    2nd Problem
    Where do you set the homepage??  In the version ive been using up until recently, in the 'Local view' file manager (on the right) i would simply highlight the 'index.html' page, then right-click and select 'set as homepage'..... that seems to have disappeared in the newer version.  How do I do this now???
    All help is very much appreciated!
    Thanks
    Amanda

    Oh No! But its worked perfectly in the past.  Had no idea about fireworks not being able to used.... whoops!

  • NavigateToURL to change a div content

    I have a page with 2 div, simply like this
    <div id="menu">
         //here the code for a flash menu
    </div>
    <div id="content">
         //here I want to show a flash movie accordingly to the button clicked on the menu
    </div>
    I want to show the pages inside the div "content" without reload the whole page, can I do this with navigateToURL()? Can it interact with a js function or an Ajax call? How?

    If the second div could contain a Flash movie that you use to load the desired swf into, then you could look into using LocalConnection to have the menu talk to the other swf and trigger a function to load the file.
    Another option would be to se the ExternalInterface class and have the menu swf talk to dsome javascript in the web page and have that javascript manage the content of the div.  Some info on that can be found at... http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/156/tn_15683.html  I haven't dealt much with dynamically changing the content of divs, so I can't offer much help there.

  • I have a 120gb Classic that has no space left on it. i am going to buy a larger gb capacity ipod as soon as i get clearer instruction on how to get the old ipod content to the new ipod. How do you get content from one ipod to the other?

    how do you get content from one ipod to the new one? my content is on an external hard drive not on my pc and i have run out of space on my 120gb classic. can you get old ipod content to new? my itunes has only got short cuts, the real content is on an external drive? can this be done?? please help

    If the content is on an external drive, but your library knows where to find it, then it should all work. Connect your device, make some selections for what to put on it, and sync. If, on the other hand, your current iPod is the only place holding some of your media then see this user tip: Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • How to read the contents of attached files

    Hi,
    I am designing a Form using LiveCycle Designer 8.0
    Scenario:
    User can attach the file through "Attachments" facility provided on Adobe  Reader.
    The requirement is to attach 3 documents and post it to SAP system using Web services.
    I am using the following code(which i got from this forum only) to find the number of files user has attached.
    d = event.target.dataObjects;
    n =  d.length;
    xfa.host.messageBox("Number  of Attachments: "+n);
    //Displaying  the names of the Attached files
    for( i =  0; i < n; i++ )
    xfa.host.messageBox("Name  of the file: "+d[i].name);
    My problem: is how to read the contents of the attached files so that I post it to SAP using Web services
    Thanks in advance!!

    In order to read the content of the Redo Log files, you should use Logminer Utility

  • I am thinking of buying a MacBook Air and am wondering how to get the content of my iPad into iTunes.

    I have iTunes on an old pc and am thinking of buying a MacBook Air. I am wondering how to get the content of my iPad on to the Mac as I know that sync only happens in one direction, from pc to device. I assume therefore that when I attach my pad to the new Mac it will sync to an empty iTunes and I will have lost all the content of my pad. I know I can restore purchases, but what about contacts, calendar, photos and music not purchased from apple. I have a fairly recent backup on a pen drive but it is a usb2 device and is formatted for a pc. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Do I copy my media library or from a backup.  I have a backup on my pc and on an external drive. This drive is usb2 and formatted for windows so I can't connect it to a MacBook Air to make the transfer.  Equally I don't think there is a way to connect the 2 computers via a cable ie usb2 one end and usb3 the other.  Will the computers talk to each other via wifi if I enable home share although I think this is only for music which still leaves contacts, mail etc.
    I am sorry to be such an ignoramus but any further help would be appreciated.

  • How to customize the content set in text as part of tag cq:text property="text"/

    We use the tag <cq:text property="text"/> to get the content, which is set in the jcr property "text".  Text was set in Richtext component and it has hyper link.
    Now, we have to customize the text.
    Example:-
    Actual Text in 'text' property:-
    <p>Click <a data-action="Hyperlink" data-upc-tooltip-type="none" href="/content/www-abc-healthcare-ch/en/offer.html">here</a> for the link</p> <p></p>
    After customization in 'text' property:-
    <p>Click <a data-action="Hyperlink" data-upc-tooltip-type="none" href="/content/www-abc-healthcare-ch/en/offer">here</a> for the link</p> <p></p>
    i.e .html has been removed.
    I tried customizing and set back to text attribute using <c:set var="text" value="<CustomizedText>" /> but even after that tag <cq:text property="text"/> retrieves the old content i.e with .html
    Please suggest how to override text content, so that the tag <cq:text property="text"/> will print customized text.

      Which version of cq? Is Strict Extension Check enabled at  http://<host>:<port>/system/console/configMgr/com.day.cq.rewriter.linkchecker.impl.LinkCheckerTra nsformerFactory

  • How do i share content with my family without becoming responsible for payment of everybody's purchases? with familysharing i mean, not home sharing

    how do i share content with my family without becoming responsible for payment of everybody's purchases?
    with familysharing i mean, not home sharing
    i have set up a familyshare for my parents and 3 siblings, all mid twenties. everybody is used to paying their own way. how do i make that continue to be the case and still keep the sharing facility open?
    e.g I don't want to pay for my sisters' music purchases - half of it i don't like - but would like access to it now and then.

    -> Home Sharing is different than logging into the iTunes store.
    You enable Home Sharing using one AppleID. Doesn't matter which you use but all devices must use the same AppleID for Home Sharing.

  • Help me...How to read the content if "Transfer-Encoding:chunked" is used?

    I am doing a project for internet control using Java,PHP and MySql.All sites should go through the proxy server only.If the HTTP header contains Content-Length,am getting the content length as below:
    public class HTTPResponseReader extends HTTPMessageReader
        String statusCode;
        public HTTPResponseReader(InputStream istream) throws IOException,                     NoSuchElementException
      BufferedInputStream distream = new BufferedInputStream(istream);
      retrieveHeader(distream);
      StringTokenizer st =  new StringTokenizer(new String(HTTPMessageReader.toArray(header)));
      versionProtocol = st.nextToken();
      statusCode = st.nextToken();
      String s;
      while (st.hasMoreTokens())
            s = st.nextToken();
            if (s.equals("Transfer-Encoding:"))
           transferEncoding = new String(st.nextToken());
         if (s.equals("Content-Length:"))
           contentLength = Integer.parseInt(st.nextToken());
         if (s.equals("Connection:"))
          connection = new String(st.nextToken());
          if (connection.equals("keep-alive")) mustCloseConnection = false;
       retrieveBody(distream);
    }After getting the Content-Length,i used read method to read the content upto that content length.Then i concatenated the HTTP header and body and the requested site was opened.But some sites dont have Content-Length.Instead of that,Transfer-Encoding is used.I got the HTTP Response header as "Transfer-Encoding:chunked" for some sites.If this encoding is used how to get the length of the message body and how to read the content.
    Can anybody help me.
    Thanks in advance...

    Why don't you use HttpUrlConnection class to retrieve data from HTTP server? This class already supports chunked encoding...
    If you want to do anything by yourself then you need to read HTTP RFC and find all required information. Well in two words you may reject advanced encoding by specifying HTTP 1.0 in your request or download chunked answer manually. Read RFC anyway :)

    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/index.html
    package java.io
    InputStream.read(): int
    Reads the next byte of data from the input stream.
    Implementation:
    InputStreamReader
    An InputStreamReader is a bridge from byte streams to character streams: It reads bytes and decodes them into characters using a specified charset. The charset that it uses may be specified by name or may be given explicitly, or the platform's default charset may be accepted.
