How to change active ascontrol to non-active

I have two 10.1.3.2 instances with each an active ascontrol. Now I want to add them to a cluster, where a discovery server with an active ascontrol is already present (we do not use multicast, but specify the discovery server for each opmn). This means that the ascontrol should be made inactive for the two instances.
My question is: Is it enough to specify start="false" for ascontrol in server.xml, or do I have to make more changes?

Please follow the steps given below:
1. Using transaction OK02 create a user profile, preferably by copying from an existing profile
2. Now go in for detailed screen of the created user profile
3.Enter status number (you can number them as 1,2,3..),status in short form (like "PROD' for "under production"),
3.Now select the status created by clicking on the left side and click "object types" at the top. Among the objects listed select "Network Header & Activity"
4.Go back to the detailed screen and double click the status. Here you select "Change activity / element number" as forbidden.
Now set this status to your network.
You can select the status profile by opening the network in CJ20N ->edit->Status->System/User Status, or by assigning the user profile to the transaction in customizing transaction:OPSC

I have installed Solaris10 and after Windows Xp, the boot loader disappear. The system Startup always by Windows Xp. I have installed Partion manager and I change Active partition to Solaris 10, Know the system Statup always by Solaris 10. Please tell me how I change active partition in Solaris (to set Windows XP active partition again ). Could I use fdisk ? and how?

1.Change the bios settings to boot from CD
2. Insert the Solaris Software CD 1
3. The procedures for installation starts , when it asks for the type of installation ie Interactive , jumpstart etc.
4. At this prompt type " b cdrom -s "
5. This will give you a root prompt
6. mount the disk root partition onto a temp mount point on cd
mount /dev/dsk/c0d0s0 /a
7. cd /a
8 . Run the format command
9 . Choose fdisk
10 . Follow prompts to make the WinXP the active partition
11. Save changes
12 . Reboot

Yes, you can do something like that. What you would do is create a button for each image and then hide them. When I do this type of thing I place all of the buttons on a template page and then hide the template.
You can then use JavaScript to copy the icon from any of the hidden buttons to the main button that you've set up to display the image. For example, suppose you set up 10 buttons named b1, b2, b3, ...b10. The code to copy the icon from one of them to the button used to display the image (b0) would be something like this:

// Set the icon of the b0 button to the icon retrieved from the hidden button

Please note this can be done.
Go to Edit Cost Center
Goto Edit, Analysis Period.
Create a new validity period say today until 3112999
Change the data you want and save.
When you go into the CC again it will show two validity periods.

How to change a TAB dynamically to be the active tab?

Hi,
I have a portlet written in Java and registered using a web provider. This portlet exposes a link which drives the content of another portlet through parameters&events.
This other portlet is placed on the same page but on a different TAB (!).
What I want is, when clicked on the link in Portlet1, this changes the content of the Portlet2 (via an event and parameter - that works) AND should change the TAB, so that the TAB which contains the Portlet2 is active and shown.
I couldn't figure out, how to change the TAB with an event or any other way. I can easily change the page through an event, but not to a tab on the same page. Do I overlook something or can I just don't use events for this?
Is there any API function which does changing tabs or getting the tab id or is there any other programmatic workaround to do dynamic tab changing?
If so, can someone point me to a code fragment?
Any help would be much appreciated.

A work around may be to change the location.href to the url of the tab you want to switch to.
Have you tried that already?

Our client has plastics injection moulding process. In routing we are already assigned the mould as PRT.
There are mold change will happen for all type of molds to different workcenter combination every day.Mold and workcenter of each combination has different cycle time for mold change activity.
How to maintain activity timing (should not reflect into costing) for each combination.And also want to capture actual mold change time for calculating efficiency.

it is not clear from your question about mould and WC.
As I understood.. You habe mould A, B, C, D
You have work centre W, X, Y, Z
You can use Mould A, B, C, D in WC W, X, Y, Z.
if this is the case, then
in WC X, you are using A and now mould is changed to B let us say...it will take some time;...
and that time can be considered as setup time in SAP.

How can changes happened during the cube activation be nullified.

I was trying to activate some business content infocube in the dev.server. I selectecd data flow before. In the process I collected all infoobjects associated with the cube and all the info-objects which are associated with that info-objects. When I installed the cube some of the customised business content info-objects associated with the cube got over written by the delivered version. We dont have the documentation which provides the information on which are all the infoobjects that were modified and which were not.
Can any one give some idea how the changes happened during the cube activation can be nullified.Or how can I find out which were the info objects which were customised before business content was again activated and which are those changes.

As long as you did not activate the Cube (= not activate BC, but cube itself)
you can compare the changed cube with the active cube (Change cube screen, use button Version Comparison)

Hello, i have opted for the navigation bar that goes down the left hand side fo the screen for the standby apps, rather than basic or horizontal..... how do i change the ones it gives me
currently it has what looks like a diamond which is fine, but then it has calender, music, personalisation.... is there a way to change these??
Plus is there a 32gb n96 planned does anyone know... i heard there was.... I'll be cheesed off if there is, but delighted at the same time! :-)

I don't know how to change the others.
About 32 GB N96 not sure what you mean.
You can buy a 16 GB memory card already today and that will bring your total memory to 32 GB.
