How to compute Maintenance Plan's Plan Date

Dear Gurus,
I would like to request help from you. I have a problem wherein I would like to know how is the Maintenance Plan's Plan Date is computed.
Below is the parameters of the Maintenance Plan:
cycle = 1500
offset = 1478
annual estimate = 5070
first meas reading = 22.5
Start of cycle is = Jun 16, 2011
The plan date computed is = Sept 7, 2011
Please let me know if there are other information needed.

Please note that for Plant date calculate in Counter Based Plans system takes the below into preference for calculation :-
1. Start of Counter reading value
2. Date of Last counter reading udpate ..
If you maintain offset then system first plans the offset then starts the cycle
If ur annual estimate is 5070 , if scheduling is done by time then daily activity is 5070/365 = 13.89 round to 14
Now if your start of counter reading value is 0KM
And if your date of last counter reading is :- 2/3/2012
Then your first planned date would be based on the offset :- 1478 -22.5 = 1455.5 /daily activity =1455.5/14 =104days
So counting 104days from 2/3/2012 you would getting your First Plan date ..
If u put call horizon as 100% then it will be in HOLD status

But we are not able to find out from where it is printing.

Hi,
I am not sure how you can deactivate printing from the current background job.
But i can help you to create a new background job from IP30 Dead line monitoring. here when you click on program and execute in background it will ask for a printer Give the printer name then insted of clicking on continue click on properties button. In properties see general properties there is a line for time of printing double click on the parameter value to select the appropriate value in you case select send to spooler only for now. this should solve your problem and then continue in the normal way.

Load maintenance plan data

Hi,
I have a file to load maintenance plan data(IP01).I used the standard program riibip00.
But only those maintenance plan categories for which the call object is initial are supported.(Mentioned in documentation of riibip00)
I have them not initial.
How do I proceed, other than Recording?

At my place though we have done the same using a BDC, but uploading a maintenance plan is quite possible via LSMW using"Direct Input Methord", IBIP Structure.
Object is 0460
methord is 0001.
you can even create a strategy plan using the same Program IBIP.

Difference in Maintenance Plan date to Order basic start date

If i creat a strategy plan and schedule, i am getting difference in PLan date in Maint plan to Basic start date. What is making this difference. How to overcome this. I need Order start date same as PLan date.
Plz help me frnds.

can you explain in details with your maintenance plan with the dates.Normally your call date and plan date will be different becase of call horizon ,but the order basic start date and plan date will be equal only

How to find maintenance plan if we knows functional location/Document No?

It is an SAP MRO related Question.
Here i have functional location(ILOA-TPLNR) and Document Number (DRAW-DOKNR) Then how we can find corresponding maintenance plan ( MMPT-WARPL). Or Otherwise let me know the connection between these three fields interms of functional / Data base table connections.

At the moment I use 1ke0 to transfer manually.

You can the option in Customizong "Define Versions" > Settings for Fiscal Year > choose the Integrated Planning,
but if already exists planned data, set the indicator by tcode KP96.

How can I lock planning data using SEM-BPS Status tracking monitor

Hi,
What are the pre-requisites for being able to lock planning data when using certain header characteristics
in customizing the Status and Tracking System in BPS ?
I have done the following and expect the locks to be set, but they are not set and the data is still available for planning :
1. Assigned the 0COMPANY hierarchy to a subplan with a planning area which has header characteristics : VERSION and CALYEAR.
Header characteristic customization is as follows :
CALYEAR = 2005
VERSION = V1
2. Have set the status of all nodes in the hierarchy to 'approved' .
3. I execute a Web planning interface for this planning area with a selection of a 0COMPANY within this hierarchy, PLANYEAR = 2006, CALYEAR = 2005 and expect the plan to be locked but its not.
Could someone kindly explain why ?

The plan data should be locked after the status is switched if
- the package selection used in the planning function or planning layout is entirely contained in the header selection
- you do not access the plan data via a multi area
- the user does not have the authorization "STS_SUP" (super user).
It is important to note that the characteristic used to define the hierarchy is not used in the locking. The characteristic is only used to define the hierarchy.
In your example only the characteristics year and version are relevant for locking as these are the only ones used in the header selection. The data should be locked if the package selection is year = 2005 and version = V1. If you have a selection like year = 2005 and version = V1, V2 then the data is not locked as the selection is not completely contained in the header selection. Note that even if you only use version V1 in your selection but if you use a planning layout that has V2 in a comparison column then the system will enlarge the selection and data would not be locked.

Dear experts,
we would like to trigger a parameterized (customizable filters) process based on the mechanisms of the integrated planning.
This process shall enrich the existing quantitive planning-figures by its monetary value. The evaluation of the value needs to be part of this process.
Could you please gimme some hint which technologie is best-practive for this kind of requests?
Can this be done using FOX-Formulars? Or is a custom planning-function the way of choice for this szenario?
Does anybody know an example or template which I could use for orientation?

please check out the forums, there are lot of threads about the issue 'how to enhance a datasource'. Just to give you a hint. Use transaction rsa6 in your source system for that. Here you can enhance the extract structure, the datasource and you can do the coding...

How to update billing plan date in contract

Hi guys!
I*m using the bapi BAPI_CUSTOMERCONTRACT_CHANGE to change some data in my contract
However, I want to set the date for the beginn of the billing plan. (Billing plan start date) and i don't find this field in the BAPI.
So is there a way to set and change this date?
...by the way. There is a rule initiated named "rule for origin of start date of billing plan". This should set the billing plan start date to the contract start date. - The contract start date is updated with BAPI_CUSTOMERCONTRACT_CHANGE - but the changes doesn't affect the billing plan startdate.
If i edit the contract, the changes to the billing plan occur automatically, but not in the BAPI

Plant Maintenance - Linkage between Task List and Maintenance Plan

Sir,
In Plant Maintenance, I have an equipment for which there are 9 maintenance activities that have to be performed every year. Out of these 4 activities will be carried out every month. 1 activity will be carried out during the months of February, June and October. 5 activities will be carried out only in the month of December.
I need to create Task List for all these activities and subsequently create Maintenance Plans for all these Task Lists.
Can I group all the 4 activites which will be carried out every month into one single Task List, with separate operation nos and time against each activity?. I don't know whether it is correct or not.
If I use the above method I can create 3 Task Lists for this particular equipment with same Group no and 3 Group Counters.
How to create Maintenance Plan for the above scenario?.
Eventhough, 4 activites are carried out every month and they have been grouped into a single Task List (Group counter 1) and if these activites are carried out on different dates within a month how can I create Maintenance Plan and subsequently create a Maintenance Order?.
I need some help in this regard. A detailed reply will be helpful.
Can anyone throw some light in this regard.

you need to create one task list with a maintenance strategy with packages and hierarchy to outline the work requirements i.e. some tasks to be carried out 3 monthly some 4 monthly etc, and also if common tasks appear in 3 monthly package vs 4 monthly package then to suppress the duplicating task
you would then define a strategy based maintenance plan and run it to get the respective maintenance orders

Wrong period values in Text template for upload of Plan data (KP06/KEPM)

Hi,
We are facing an issue in the upload template in text format for Upload of Cost Centre Planning data (Transaction KP06) in ECC 6.0.
We have some User defined layouts for Excel upload of plan data. If we save the file as a text (tab delimited) file, the Period values above the Column"Period" do not correspond to the correct periods in ECC 6.0. for e.g. the values above Period 1, Period 2, Period 3 are shown as 6, 5, 4 instead of the correct values 1,2,3. These values are considered by the system for uploading the Planning value in the appropriate Periods and hence the values entered in the Column Period 1 in the text file are incorrectly uploaded by the system in Period 6 based on the values generated by the system in the text file.
However, we do not encounter this issue in the 4.6C system where the values are correctly shown.
We are facing a similar issue with the text upload template for Sales Planning data in CO-PA (Transaction KEPM), where the values generated by the system do not correspond to the correct period.

Maintenance plan for Mirror database

How do we implement Maintenance plan for high safety Database mirroring?
We have Server A (Principal)and server B (Mirror) and we created maintenance plan on principal server and this maintenance plan have 3 sub plans plan full backup schedule daily plan 2 log backup every 10 minutes and plan 3 purge the full backup files
,log backup files and log history if older then 2 weeks . All jobs are running fine in principal sever .but how to run theses after fail over by agent?
My client accept maintenance plan, other wise i will create the jobs with tsql script on both server ,will enable on server where database is principal
Please help it very urgent.

Hi Nitzan,
Actually When you want to change planned date of the activity?
If it is during the processing of the activity, you can do it by two methods
1)Either by using a call back function module configured in CRMV_EVENT transaction. In this function module read the date using CRM_order_READ FM to read ET_APPOINTMENT table.
Then use CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to change to change the date.
2) use the BADI order_save and implement the method CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE and put the same logic.
OR
if you want to do it externally, use the BAPI BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CHANGEMULTI to change the activity dates.
