How to configure https connection using a http proxy in weblogic server

I have a proxy in Aqualogic Service Bus that points to a https external service. Our development environment internet access is supported by a http proxy server. The ALSB proxy fails to connect, with the following error message:

Accessing the page in Internet Explorer or Firefox is working fine. Somebody knows any additional configuration to this case?

In osb you can configure a HTTP proxy server. Once this is done all BS http/https requests will be through the configured proxy server.

After I [start the server, start the client] most IP-based applications (DNS, ping, ssh) seem to work from the client, but client's Firefox cannot connect to http://www.whatismyip.com/ (or any other URI). I have a laptop running debian_version==jessie/sid with Firefox version=33.0 which needs to access a compute cluster. The cluster formerly required only an SSL VPN (enabled by a Firefox plugin) to access, but now has several additional requirements, which I seek to satisfy by running the SSL VPN through a jumpbox running an OpenVPN server. The jumpbox is running a "vanilla" Debian 7.7.
I have been using the laptop successfully for a few years without network problems. Currently I have the laptop connected by wire directly to an ISP-supplied modem/router. With `openvpn` NOT running on the laptop, I see:
* `ifconfig` shows no entry='tun0' (just "the usual" entries for 'eth0', 'lo', 'wlan0'), and shows the expected client IP# bound to 'eth0'.
* I can `ping` my jumpbox/server using its real IP#, but cannot `ping 10.8.0.1`
* I can `ssh` to my jumpbox/server using its real IP#, but cannot `ssh 10.8.0.1`
* `nslookup www.whatismyip.com` gives correct results
* browsing to http://www.whatismyip.com/ shows my client's IP# (as also shown in `ifconfig`)
Both my client/laptop and server/jumpbox setups are quite generic OpenVPN-wise, and are almost exactly as described on the Debian wiki

* `ifconfig` shows a new entry=`tun0`, which looks correct
* I can `ping` the server using either its real IP# or `10.8.0.1`
* I can `ssh` to the server using either its real IP# or `10.8.0.1`
* `nslookup www.whatismyip.com` gives correct results
... but I get no connection if I open a new instance of Firefox and browse to http://www.whatismyip.com/ :-( "Looking up www.whatismyip.com..." succeeds quickly but the status line continues to display "Connecting to www.whatismyip.com..." until the attempt times out. I also get the same behavior (connection timeout) if I open a new instance of Chrome, or if I browse to http://www.whatismyip.com/ with a Firefox opened prior to starting OpenVPN. FWIW I get the same behavior browsing to any URI, including (e.g.) Google.
This is a major problem for me! For the SSL VPN to work, I need to start a Firefox and run it (since the SSL VPN's vendor only supports it on Linux via a Firefox plugin) to access a particular remote-access website. Furthermore I need the SSL VPN to run through the jumpbox/OpenVPN. (Don't ask, it's a long, sad story ...)
Is there something I must do to configure Firefox to use the VPN? Or is there some other way to fix this?
Alternatively, what should I do to further debug the problem? It just seems odd to me that the other services work (e.g., `nslookup`, `ssh`) but Firefox does not. That being said, both Firefox and Chrome fail in this usecase, so the problem might be generic to web browsers.

I need to know how to configure gmail as my smtp server. In the scot transaction I don't see anywhere where to specify whether it is a ssh connection, ports for secure smtp, username, password.
Does anyone know how to configure sap to use gmail as the smtp server?
I've seen some similar threads about this, but they are of no help. Although they are classified as answered, in most cases the reason they are answered is because the person who made the query dropped the cause trying to make it work. I'd like to know for sure is this is possible or not.

You can't set up gmail as your smtp server to handle this. gmail is an email server which generally are based on POP protocol. now for SAP to send mail to gmail, you would need one SMTP capable server which can relay those message received from SAP to configured email address.
As of WAS 6.10 SAP kernel supports SMTP without more components. i.e e-mails can be sent (or received) from the SAP system to each SMTP-compatible mail server. see SAP note 455140 for more details.

To add LDAP servers to the Solaris ldapclient, you might use the ldapclient command:
ldapclient manual -v -a defaultServerList="servera.yourdomain.com serverb.yourdomain.com"
But this is only failover, AFAIK the Solaris ldapclient does not perform loadbalancing by itself.
But I am not sure about your sendmail programm. Normally, sendmail has its own configuration
and can be configured to use LDAP e.g. for aliases etc.

The build.xml file should be in a directory from where
you are running the asant command.
To resolve the common.xml file not found error,
open your build.xml and check from which location the common.xml file is incuded.
In the sample application it is four directories above
the directory where build.xml is located.
You can copy the common.xml in the current directory and then change the following in your build.xml

to <!ENTITY include SYSTEM "common.xml">

for a windown server u can use VNC (virtual network connection) which opens a session on u r desktop later u can drag and drop form there vice versa and for a linux box you can use Win SCP which helps to open a session with interface to u r desktop in both cases you can upload and down load files very easiy just as we drag and drop items in a simple pc .. we use the same technique...

Self tuning will automatically manage the threads but however you can still control the min and max by adding the min and max values for each instance either directly adding in config.xml or through JVM settings
1) Modifying the config.xml
Just add the following line(s) to each server definition :

How to configure DMZ access for ftp/https without NAT

I have a closed network that is not connnected to the internet, just other sites that we want to communicate with. We have a cisco router connected to the outside interface on an ASA5505 and a cisco router connected to the inside interface on the same ASA5505. I have an inside interface that connects our management LAN, five separate DMZ interfaces with a separate LAN (VLAN) on each DMZ interface and the outside interface that connects to the other sites. Data is not allowed to mingle between the five DMZ's.
Alll connections to the other separate nodes are handled with the router on the external interface. IPSEC GRE tunnels have been established between all sites and BGP routing has been verified. Pings are good between inside, dmz and external interfaces and between the DMZ's and the other sites, to include hosts on our local networks and hosts at the remote sites. Inter and intra traffic is enabled.
When a remote site attempts an https connection, the initial ACK handshake makes it through the ASA5505, but the return SYN/ACK is being knocked down and I don't understand why (it is not because of ACL's, they are any any at this point).
Looking for some ideas on why the return SYN/ACK to the remote site isn't getting through the ASA5505 outbound. Will probably have the same issue with FTP, but right now, just trying to solve one problem at a time.
ASA5505 is in routed mode, not looking to NAT since the IP addresses in the DMZ need to be reached by their real IP address.

When I use the packet-trace in both directions with the endpoint IP's, it works, all phases show allowed. I see the hits against the ACL's that show the packet entry in to the outside interface of the ASA, the build up of the connection so the initial step of the external host ACK is reaching the webserver in the DMZ. I see the hits against the incoming DMZ interface from the web server and then the log shows that the SYN,ACK is not in the state table and drops the outgoing packet. Since no outgoing SYN/ACK, no three way handshake, not login prompt, no web page to the endpoint.
I even changed the security settings on the outside interface to match the DMZ, enabled the inter and intra connections and that didn't work. ACL's on the incoming and outgoing outside and DMZ interfaces have any any tcp and any any ip but still the same result.
DMZ hosts point to the ASA. ASA points to external router on the outside interface. Pings all work fine. Tried ACL's at the top with port 443, but no hits on that. Even tried bypass with the same result. The initial packet from the external host doesn't seem to enter the state table so that when the host sends the reply (SYN/ACK) the ASA knocks it down.
Also tried twice NAT with static source/destination/port so that what comes in should be what is sent to the DMZ.
If I understand this device, I should have a rule that lets traffic in the outside interface from the external networks, a rule that allows DMZ traffic out the outside interface, a rule that allows external traffic in the DMZ and a rule that allows DMZ internal traffic back out to the external interface.
Still fuzzy on exactly how the data goes between the outside and the DMZ interfaces.
Is there something else I need to do or define to use HTTPS? I see that HTTP is defined and also has inspection rules.
I can try the captures tomorrow at work.

Can you be a little more specific on what you really want.
When i started doing j2me application, i was required to be able to comunicate to a oracle client database, and my first though was using PHP based pages to comunicate and do the query. Later they would just generate the answer and get it on the cellphone. You can communicate with a PHP server via either GET or POST. I'd choose POST as is more secure IMO.

HTTP Connection using GET request

We have a J2ME app which is accessing a server using an HTTP Connection. We were using a POST to send the data but kept getting an HTTP/1.1 100 Continue from the server. This is annoying since it's extra code to work around this issue (should be handled by the HTTP stack in the JVM).
We changed the POST to a GET. This works in the simulator but it doesn't seem to work on the real device (testing with a Motorola T720 and a Nokia). The HTTP request never seems to get to the server, although it leaves the phone just fine.
Any ideas ?

We have found the error of our ways. Here is the scenario and the problem we had:
1) Originally we had an HTTP POST request going to the server. After we openned connection to the URL, set the HTTP headers, openned the output stream and wrote data, closed the output stream and waited for data to come back on the connection.

2) We changed the URL in the connection from a POST to a GET (url?data=urlencoded.string). We also changed the HTTP headers to reflect a GET. Since there wasn't any data to write, we openned an output stream, but didn't write any data, then closed the stream.
-- Result: Not even getting to the server - WHY ?
3) Then it hit us, get rid of the header information since we don't need it for a GET. Also get rid of even opening an output stream since it's really stupid to do that with a GET.
-- Result: Now it works like a charm !
Hope this helps any others whos brains might be stuck in idle like mine was :)

How to configure the connection between AS JAVA and AS ABAP

Hello,
I have installed a SAP Netweaver 7.3 AS JAVA and I would like to connect this JAVA Instance with 3 ABAP Systems (ECC 6.0) .

Could you please advise, if the above configuration steps are OK?

I'm not sure how exactly you want to use ABAP and Java so it is hard to answer your question.
The link that you posted describes the steps to configure ABAP as a Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) service provider. As a service provider, the AS ABAP enables you to off-load the authentication of users onto an identity provider. The identity provider enables you to federate identities across domains for Single Sign-On (SSO).
