How to configure PerformancePoint to access SSAS hosted in different domain.

I have Sharepoint 2013 installed in a demo environment with a domain say ABC. I have username and password of an account say DEC\sqlread, having only read permission in SSAS (2008 R2) production environment, which is hosted on different domain. How do I
configure Performance point to use that read account (DEC\sqlread) of SSAS whenever any user of ABC domain uses performance point reports.
I don't have much permission in SSAS production environment to configure things, but I have admin access to demo environment.

It should work the way you mentioned it. I don't see why it
didn't unless there is a spelling mistake or something. If there
is you should have a got an error message. :-)
I actually don't recommend using globals at all, I would rather
use a PL\SQL Package Specification to define Global Variable.
These variables are valid for the duration of the Session and
they are restricted to Char(255) limit. It reduces the number of
mistakes when converting dates and Such. It also forces the
developers to place all the globals in one place instead of
multiple places. Read Feurstein's book on PL\SQL Programming for
more details.

Run commands on remote Hyper-V host in different domain/network with powershell

Hi experts,
My Setup: Windows Server 2012 R2 / SCVMM 2012 managing localhost and other Hyper-V hosts
I need to run a script on the remote Hyper-V Host which is in different domain/workgroup using powershell.
I have tried
Invoke-SCScriptcommand cmdlet. But I am getting the below error
Error (2917)
Virtual Machine Manager cannot process the request because an error occurred while authenticating MY-PC-15.mydomain.local. Possible causes are:
1) The specified user name or password are not valid.
2) The Service Principal Name (SPN) for the remote computer name and port does not exist.
3) The client and remote computers are in different domains and there is not a two-way full trust between the two domains.
The network path was not found (0x80070035)
I tried the 'Run Script Command' option in the Host tab in VMM. But getting the same error.
Checked that it uses the 'Invoke-ScScriptcommand' PS cmdlet.
Could someone explain how to run scripts on remote Hyper-V host in different Domain/Perimeter network ?

Hosting 2 different domains

we host our own exchange 2013 server internally with a couple hundred mailboxes for 'companyA.com'.
we are going to have a new startup company with only a handful of mailboxes/users (offsite) but they will be using
[email protected]
what is the best way to host 2 different domains on our existing hardware/licenses?
is there a way to avoid having all of my existing users SMTP address appended with this second domain? (if i remember correctly, when you add a new domain to the accepted domain list, all existing users get 1 SMTP address entry added to their list.

if I add this new domain to the accepted domain list, my default policy says 'all recipient types'. but I don't see a way to distinguish
between companyA and companyB.
all of my existing users except maybe 1 or 2 are selected to 'automatically update via policy'. so it seems to me that if I add the new domain name to the accepted domain list, they'd all get one new entry. from the policy options page, I don't
see any selections that I could use to distinguish between the two companies.

Since EM will be unsafe to run on the Internet without SSL, does any one knows how to configure and enable Oracle10g to enable SSL access? Which port does it use?

Since EM will be unsafe to run on the Internet without SSLIt's generally bad idea to "share" administration site over internet (unless you don't have some VPN tunnel), because if you have weak passwords for DB users then you are asking for problems.

How can I upload my iWeb site to 2 different domain addresses?

I have two different domain names, but I want to publish one iWeb site to both addresses.
I can't work out how to do it, I was thinking to duplicate the whole site but using the other address. Then I would have to make indiviual changes to both sites when updating content etc.
There must be an easier way to do this, I am missing something?

Your info says you use iWeb 08.
That means you publish to a folder.
If so, iWeb is not involved. You decide what to do with the published files on the desktop.
With iWeb 09 you only have one FTP address. To publish to another server you have to change the publish info.
But everytime you do that, iWeb will publish the entire site.
You can't have both. iWeb was not meant for that.
Anyway, you provided the solution yourself : duplicate websites for each server.
There's actually no need to make the changes in each site.
Make changes in one site, and duplicate the page to the other site.
Then publish.

Hi user10939158, thank you for your response. Maybe I was not precise in my previous post. I know how certificates work and that I should not be using self signed ones. Due to a reason (non technical) we MUST use a self signed certificates. Considering this as a prerequisite let me clarify my situation:
- We added the certificate to the custom trust store connfigured in WL
- We configure the managed server to be more "verbose" about SSL stuff
- When the managed server start it outputs the following lines in the log:

How to configure administrators to access wizards

I'm using OEM on 9i/NT. Trying to get the database wizards to work with no luck. Keeps saying that configuration is invalid and to set preferred credentials. I've set login to sysdba but when I run the wizard it comes up with insufficient privileges. The 'help' has been little help thus far.

How to configure Redundant Internet Access on WIndows Server 2008 R2

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine running in my basement. I have an application installed on it that calls a web service out on the open internet on a periodic timer. Everything works great until my ISP goes done.
For redundancy I got a second connection into my basement from a different ISP. I want to now configure my service to use the first ISP until it goes down and then automatically switch to the second ISP.
I have installed a second NIC card into the server. However, I need some help in configuring the redundant set up I am after.
For example it isn't clear to me if these separate NICs should be configured on the same subnet?
The other complication is that this server is infact the DC for my domain. Not sure if that complicates things or not.
I do RDP into the server remotely currently, so there is another potential complication (would need to enable that through both ISP router/nic. However, please note that other than the inbound RDP traffic, I am only interested in having the "outbound"
web service traffic redundant at this time - that is I am only using the machine as a client in this scenario).
I have read up on Multi-homing and just feel this is overkill for what I am trying to accomplish. All I want is for the internet to still be reachable from the machine via automatic switch over if my primary ISP goes down.

How to configure for Internet access from USB EV-DO wireless broadband stick

I have WRT120N and I installed it in my office which has three computers (wired) that I've connected to the WRT120N. They all can communicate with one another. What I need to do is share the EV-DO connection (USB Stick) I have on of of these computers with the others and also with the devices that connect over the Wi-Fi.

How to configure a listener to listen on a different port rather than 1521 and register it on the database

Hi Everyone,
I have used 11gR2 RAC for a couple of years and now I've got this issue because I have tried to setup more than one database on RAC infrasturcture:
I have an existing database on my RAC. (lets call it orcl) which is listening on port 1521 and is functioning properly. Now I want to create anoher database (call it test) which is going to listen on port 1526. I am able to create a listener using netca, (as oracle recommended, I've created it with grid user). I am also able to create a database using dbca (with dba user). My problems stem from when I want to configure listener to register with the new database. If i set local_listener to my newly configured database, it won't be able to tnsping and therefore login. If I create tnsnames.ora file on local or remote server, I am able to ping the database, but when I want to connect using sql*plus (or any other client) I receive TNS-12514 error. By the way, I am using AIX 7.1 as my machine.

Why? What is the purpose of using another listener? An Oracle Listener was designed to service multiple databases running on the same server. In all my years of working with Oracle and running multiple databases on the same machine, I have yet to be required to run more than one listener. And almost every single time I've seen someone try to provide rationale for multiple listeners, the technical reasons have no merit.

The LOCAL_LISTENER parameter does not point to a database...it points to a LISTENER!
LOCAL_LISTENER=(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=hostname)(PORT=1526))
