How to Ensure Symbol State Persists?

Okay, so I have a symbol that I want to show/hide; it's a named MovieClip with two labelled frames ("show" and "hide" in that order), the default is to be shown, and both frames have a stop() command.
This seems fine however at one point in my animation I trigger the symbol to hide via foo.gotoAndStop("hide"), but when the animation loops the symbol reappears (or rather, returns to the "show" frame).
Now, obviously this is annoying, but other symbols that function in the exact same way appear to be working as expected, so I'm at a complete loss as to why this one symbol in particular seems to be resetting? Is there some characteristic of the animation that might be causing Flash to see the symbol as if it were a new instance? I've checked that the symbol's name is constant throughout the animation, and I'm really only using classic tweens; certainly nothing that stands out as different in way compared to the other, working symbols.
Aside from completely re-creating the animation for that symbol I'm not sure what else I can try, so any suggestions are welcomed!

Okay, I'm going to try to highlight what I'm seeing by taking a snapshot of the timeline where the problem occurs:
The selected layer has the problem symbol, the layer immediately above is the mask layer. The blue circle indicates the frame at which the symbol is hidden (or shown) by a script further up in the timeline. The symbol displays as expected for the duration of the blue tween. At the green circle, a new tween begins but the symbol remains unchanged, continuing to be shown or hidden as expected for the during of that tween. The red circle however is where the symbol apparently resets to the default (showing) frame, and loses any other state assigned to it (e.g - if I were to set a variable upon it such as foo.bar = "foobar").
Why would the symbol retain state through the green circle, but not the red one? It seems that at the green circle the symbol is still the same instance, but at the red circle it is not, even though nothing seems to be happening any differently.

  • How do I ensure HttpSession state is NOT persisted across server failures?

WebLogic doesn't serialize and restore sessions when the server is
              shutdown/crashes
for "memory" sessions. That should not happen. Check the value of
              session.getClass()
              to verify the perisistentStoreType.

  • With a PDF Dynamic form using show/hide actions, how to ensure that when the completed form is saved, closed and re-opened, the form still show the fields as before it was closed?

With a PDF Dynamic form using show/hide actions, how to ensure that when the completed form is saved, closed and re-opened, the form still show the fields as before it was closed?
I have developed a form with fields hidden by default, that become visible based on box ticked or radio button selections.
My problem is that, when I close the form and re-open it, it comes back to it's default presentation, regardless of the information already recorded in the form (including in the now hidden fields.
    How to correct that
Thanks in advance for any hint you can provide.

I've had the same problem. This solved it...
Go to the "Form properties..." in the File-menu. Select "Run-time" to the left and in the box "Scripting" Preserve scripting changes to form when saved: choose Automatically (Script-based state changes are saved locally in an insecure fashion. This option cannot be used for certified forms).
Hope it works for you to...

  • How to ensure FundCenter selection = blank when running FM drilldown report

How to ensure blank value in the "Funds Center" selection parameter when running FM drilldown report 2FMB40* (Assigned Funds Report)?
We tried to save a report variant with protected blank value in the "&0FICTR" variable (hierarchy node), and we also used FMEV to turn-off default value for this variable.  However, during report execution it still takes value from the user parameter "FIS".
To prevent the system from using "FIS", we can only save the report variant with Funds Center = * (or the top-most node).  Unfortunately, these would give different extraction results which we do not want.
Any advice how to get round this?

Referring SAP Note 390953, I don't know how to apply the solution of "using generic symbol # as an initial value"....
    (1)  I tried to save a report variant with # in the Funds Center field, but got error message "no matching funds center found" and couldn't proceed.
    (2)  I also tried tcode FMEV to set the variables &0FICTR, &0FICTRA ... with default value # (in table TKESV), yet still got no effect ... as user parameter "FIS" was adopted during report execution.
    Any further suggestion please?

    > The ones in 'RED' color are the statement which are taking a lot of time and you need to
    > optimise the same.
No, that is incorrect, the red ones show only the ones which need several hundret milliseconds in one execution. This can even be correct for hard tasks. And there are lots of problem, which you will not see
    I have said everything here:
    SQL trace:
    /people/siegfried.boes/blog/2007/09/05/the-sql-trace-st05-150-quick-and-easy
Go to 'Tracelist' -> Summarize by SQL statements', this is the view which you want to see!
I summarizes all executions of the same statement.
There are even the checks explained, the slow ones are the one which need a lot of time per record!
    See MinTime/Rec > 10.000 microseconds.
Check all number of records, executions, buffer, identicals.
The SE30 Tipps and Tricks will not help much.

    Hi Raja,
<b>PERFORM</b> key work is used to include subroutine in sapscript form...
But the processing is lttle bit different form the one we use in ABAP.
Here the paramters passed to form is stored in internal table of name-value table. there are two table one for inbound parameter and other for outbound parameters.
Check out the example below to see how this is used..
    <b>Definition in the SAPscript form:</b>
/: PERFORM GET_BARCODE IN PROGRAM QCJPERFO
    /: USING &PAGE&
    /: USING &NEXTPAGE&
    /: CHANGING &BARCODE&

    ENDIF.
    MODIFY OUT_PAR INDEX SY-TABIX.

Hope this is clear to understand...

You have to create stored procedure in SQL only .
Like u must have create for Crystal .
You can execute procedure in query manager but you have to enter parameter manually..
    example
    Exec @Test '20140101' '20140501'
Every time user has to enter it manually in yyyymmdd format in case of date parameters.
    Example
    Create Proc [@Test]
    as begin
    DECLARE @name AS date
    Declare @name2  AS date
    /* SELECT FROM [2013].[dbo].[OINV] T0 */
    /* WHERE */
    select  '2013',t5.U_salmannm,t1.CardName,t2.sumapplied as CollectionAmount,t2.DcntSum ,t3.DocTotal as InvoiceTotal,
    datediff(dd,t3.DocDate,t1.Docdate) as Days
    from 2013.dbo.orct t1
    inner join 2013.dbo.RCT2 t2 on t1.DocNum = t2.DocNum
    left join 2013.dbo.oinv t3 on
    t3.docentry = t2.baseAbs

  • How can the symbol and non-English diacritical marking, etc accessed with combinations of letters and functional keys prior to Snow Leopard be achieved in Snow Leopard?

How can the symbol and non-English diacritical marking/punctuation pallet, available in pre-Snow Leopard OSes with various combinations of letter or number keys and functional keys, be accessed in Snow Leopard?  Those pre-Snow Leopard versions worked on the fly as one was making text in any pedestrian application and its native font (Mail, Text Edit, for example).  One didn't need to dig around in font libraries, change font preferences, etc.

    > One didn't need to dig around in font libraries, change font
    > preferences, etc.
It hasn't worked like that since the Early Chalcolithic (ie, System 7 or thereabouts).
You've already got plenty of answers. Briefly (and grossly oversimplified),
    - Mac OS X conforms to a standard known as Unicode; in its current incarnation, it defines over 100k characters.
    - A keypress is translated into a character according to the current keyboard layout.
    - The graphic representation of a character (ie, glyph), is provided by the current font.
    - If a font lacks a glyph for the requested character, either another font will be automatically chosen (Mac OS X text engine), or some form of feedback (empty box, question mark, etc) will be used.
    - To inspect the actual key codes, use a utility such as Key Codes.
    - To inspect the current keyboard layout, invoke Keyboard Viewer.
    - To inspect the full complement of glyphs of a font, invoke Character Viewer (also accessed with the Special Characters command).
(Remember that both these utilities are resizable and zoomable -- you can enlarge them to a comfortable viewing size, then zoom out to see more of the screen for your original task.)
    - For a more detailed look, use a utility such as UnicodeChecker.
    - The default keyboard layout depends on your Mac OS X localisation.
(Keep in mind that there's no need to stick with the default layout; choose whichever one makes sense to you, given your language, habits, and proclivities. Mac OS X comes bundled with quite a few, including some obviously designed for the huddled masses of refugees from the Dark Side, who, in their wretched ignorance, have the unmitigated gall of labelling our native ways "really uncomfortable". Oh well, this, too, shall pass.
If none of the supplied keyboard layouts fits your needs -- if, for instance, you write your emails in Etruscan -- go out on the 'net, you'll find quite a few. Or write your own with Ukulele, it's not really all that difficult.)
    - Use Keyboard Viewer to familiarise yourself with the current layout and to enter the odd character; but, to be proficient, you should learn your layout to the point that KV is no longer needed.
    - Use Character Viewer to enter the odd character not available in the current keyboard layout.
Neither Keyboard Viewer nor Character Viewer are effective tools for more extensive needs, eg, for writing and editing bilingual or multilingual texts. In such a case, you should enable the respective keyboard layouts and switch between them with a keyboard shortcut.
A few interesting layouts bundled with Mac OS X have already been mentioned. Let me add three.
    - Dvorak: several layouts based on the Dvorak keyboard. It is claimed that the latter is more productive and lessens RSI risk.
    - US Extended: based on QWERTY, it offers a more extensive set of diacritics (eg, caron, breve) via dead keys.
    - Unicode Hex Input: also based QWERTY, it allows input by Unicode codepoint (in hexadecimal), so it's the most extensive layout of all; eg, to enter the character "Parenthesized Number Twelve" (U+247F), hold down Option, type "247f", release Option.
