How to find the start and ending dates of a quarter of a particular fiscal

Hi Experts,
I need a function mudule which returns starting and ending date s of a particular quarter of a particular fiscal year .
For Example: if pass 1 quarter and 2002 or 2 quarter 2002 it has to give me the star and end dates of that particular quarter na d fiscal year.
Please help me which is urgent for me.

But given function module the 2nd one is full but it is giving me the calender year dates but i need fiscal yea dates.
fro example: if i pass 1 st quarte and 2006 it is to give me the 1st-april to 30-jun2006.
And need this quater starting date and ending date for as per USA fiscal year calender.

I'm quite sure that the year quarters are static.....
So , you can save them as records of a table , such as:
QRTY START_DAY END DAY
============================
1 1/1 30/3
2 1/4 30/6
3 1/7 30/9
4 1/10 31/12
The sysdate(day of the current quarter) must be between a start_day and appropriate end_day of the quarters, concatenated with the sysyear (year of the sysdate).
So , if the above table is called Quarters ...
then
select start_day , end_day
from quarters
where to_date(sysdate,'dd/mm/rrrr') between (to_date(trim((start_day||'/'||to_char(sysdate,'rrrr'))),'dd/mm/rrrr'))

How to find the start and end duration of "Selected frames" from Video using didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo?

I am doing slow motion in audio and video using AVFoundation(for Video) and Dirac(Audio). As part of it, i will show the video as frames in which the user will select the frames to do slow motion. Eg: 5-6 min of 10 min video.
I have to show the users two kinds of videos 1. through the video recorder from my application itself. 2. from the gallery.
Case1: No problem Now,i can record the videos though my video recorder and show the videos as frames to the user to select. Once the user selects some frames(Eg: 5 to 6 min of 10 min recorded video), using the below code, i am able to find the start/end duration of the selected frames or video.

How to find the start and end sector index/physical address of any given file?

I need to find the range of sectors that a file occupied. Then determine the slack space in that file and then analyze the slack space. This is a forensics project work. I am new to forensics and have no idea what Window API calls may help me accomplish

There is no simple way. It has to be a math calculation.
There are several ways you can get the dates. First you have to know what day is January 1st and what day is december 31st for a particular year. Second you have to check whether the given year is a leap year or not. Based on the abvove information you should be able to find out what day is a particular date.

Adding a summary column in a table which contains the start and end dates in the week

I've got a DIMENSION DATE table and want to add in another column which shows the start and end date of the week.
See below, the new column is WEEKOFYEARTEXT.

Calculate the working days having the start and end dates only

Hi,
Can BIP be able to calculate the working days having the start and end dates only? It is like the NETWORKDAYS function in Excel. (i.e. excluding weekends and holidays).

The academic calendar assigned to the top organizational unit does not contain a start or end date for the academic period (academic year and session) assigned to fee calculation period Z000.
System Response
The system will skip fee calculation period Z000 and continue processing with the next fee calculation period.
Procedure
1. Check which academic calendar is assigned to the top organizational unit.
2. Check which academic period is assigned to fee calculation period Z000. You check this setting in Customizing for Campus Management in the IMG activity Assign Academic Years and Sessions to Fee Calculation Periods.
3. In this academic calendar, create the start and end dates of the relevant academic period using standard time limit 0100 (standard duration of academic period) or a corresponding user-defined time limit.

FM to find week start and end date on the basis of a given date

Hi Everyone,
I have a requirement in which I require the week start and end date of any given date.
For eg: The given date is Wednesday 24.03.2010, I need a function module to calculate the week start date ie. Monday 22.03.2010 and week end date ie. Sunday 28.03.2010 on the basis of that date.

How to change both start and end dates for an business event (or any object

Hi all.
We are in the case to change the validity dates for several business events in training management.
The special point is that both, start and end date, have to be changed.
In example, business event 00000001 is valid from 2010.01.01 to 2010.01.31 and shoud be "moved" from 2010.05.01 to 2010.05.31.
So if i run RHBEGDA0 report to change start date first, it doesn't work propperly because new start date is bigger than old enddate.
Next thing we thought is to change end date first, using RHGRENZ1, and then change the start date, with the report RHBEGDA0. Problem with this solution is that a business event duration shoud be calculated taking care of free days (weekends and day ofs).
Is there any better solution for this?

1) Lane created by system /others I can delete and give the required start /end date ?
I want to know if I can change the end date without deleting the lane as its tough to delete a lane in production.

we can change the start period and end period in the Transportation lane using the table /SAPAPO/TRPROD.
And then using the update command you can change the start time and end time of the product.

Can anyone tell me where can I set up the validitiy period for the contract account in FICA. In contract creation, I could just see the contract validity start date. I also need to know the validity end date. Please let me know the solution asap.

Yes, you're right, you would then need to develop a lot of user exits to prevent the re-use of the contract account after the validity date.
I'm think in a strange solution, it could work but you'll need to test it. if a contract account is marked for deletion (Field FKKVKP-LOEVM equal to 'X') no further action can be made over it, When you create you contract account you can schedule a change using as validity date (Field BUS000FLDS-VALDT ins the change contract account screen) to the end date of you contract account and set this deletion flag. then you run FPP2A to activate the schedule changes, before you get to the end date the flag is not set, when you get to the end date FPP2A will activate the flag and the contract account becomes not usefull.
If you do this, you have be careful because all the postings to the contract account won't be possible, it means that if there are payment to be made, interests to be calculated, etc... nothing will be posted.

Period start and end dates

Hello Experts,
Can some tell me where we enter the start and end dates of a posting period in a fiscal year which is a year dependent and a non-calendar year?
For ex: Jan 2008, I have to mention the start and end dates of the fiscal period January, because ours is not a calendar year and so the jan 1st and Jan 31st do not correspond with the January's posting period dates.

Hi Sriram,
As Vj suggested, go to transaction OB29. Then select the fiscal year variant and upon selection the variant, click on "Period". This will open up dialog box asking for the fiscal year for which you want to configure. Enter the fiscal year and hit enter. This will open up the calendar table to enter the period entry which has 4 columns: Month, Day, Period and Year Shift.
Make sure you are entering the correct Year Shift. Logic for the Year Shift is as follows.
+1 if the fiscal year is later than the calendar year
-1 if the fiscal year is before the calendar year.
0 if the fiscal year is same as the calendar year.
One example of year shift:
Say, if you are configuring the fiscal year 2007 (April 2007 to March 2008), then January 2008 is your 10th period. Here you hare to enter -1 in Year Shift Column only for January to March (10-12 period) as your fiscal year 2007 is less than the calendar year 2008.

How to input my own Validity Start and End Dates in ME21N

I have to change the Validity Start and Validity End date in Addiitional Data Tab of ME21 transaction( PO Create ) using default Customer Values.How Can i accomplish it?
I have used the BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and implemented it, I have coded in the method PROCESS_HEADER.First I retrieved the data using get_data( ) method, changed the values with Customer Values and called the method set_data( ).
However my validity start and End Dates and not changing.
Even in ME21N if I create the PO with my own Validity Start and End dates, and go to ME23N to display the created PO, still in the additional data tab, the start and End dates are current date and Next date respectively.why its happening?

If you let us know the business scenarion some solution/workaround can be suggested.

0Person to 0employee loading, how to handle start and end date

I need help on some basic understanding of time dependent master data object.
In my scenario i am loading 0employee and 0Person from R/3. I need to update 0employee from 0person.

As the begining and end date are different i can't simply read City from 0person into 0employee. If i go for checking the city for the start and end date in 0employee, i will get multiple records ( If try to get city for 0employee's first record, i will get 2 city Singapore and Tokyo).
Please help me out how to handle this ...... i think i am missing somelink somewhere

Yes i need to have parallel flow for both and in the cube where my reporting will be on monthly basis i need to read these 2 master data and get the required attributes ( considering last/first day of that month as per the requirement).......but i am just wondering this is common scenario....while there are so many threads written for populating 0employee from 0person......don't they have such requirement.....
