How to gateway an IFRAME

I have a third party application that I need to gateway to make it available through the portal.
This application has images, javascripts and IFRAMES.
Since this is third party application I cannot modify it.
Everything works fine for the javascript, images but when we have an IFRAME the gateway will ignore it and it will pass the request and of course causing the application to fail because I don’t the have correct reference in the portal server.
Is there any way to gateway an IFRAME?

Here's the thing...
try loading the 3rd party app itself into an iframe. If it will work then you can load the page that contains this iframe as the portlet location instead.
However, if you're using the gateway to resolve any proxy or security issues, I do not believe this will work.

IFrame is just a HTML element. You normally embed HTML elements in a JSP file. How to use an IFrame is covered by every average HTML tutorial.

How do you set iFrame height to 100%

We have seen code in OAF for iFrame's where the width is set to 100% but the height is set at 500 (a given value). We've found that if we change the height to 100% it does not seem to work... However, if we change the height to 2500, insteach of 500, the iFrame box is certainly much bigger. Please review the code below. Can anyone advise how we can get the iFrame height to 100%?

Hi,
I am not sure in OAF directly you can set % of width to the HTML element.
But can you try something like set width in % for some of the other bean and run the page,
once it opens in the browser get the html source of the page and check how that bean's width % is set.
You can try the same way.

How to embed an iframe

I have an iframe i need to embed in my animation, but i can't figure out where to put the code for it. I have a rectangle that i want to hold the iframe, but am not sure how to go about this. any help would be much appreciated.

So it goes into compositionReady on the stage? For some reason it's still not showing up. I put the code on the stage at composition ready, and it does not appear. this is what i have so far. My intention was to have the iframe layer under the 'countdown.'

HTMLEditorKit : How you handle FRAMES, IFRAMES and JAVASCRIPT

Hi all,
Currently im using the HTMLEditorKit to parse through the HTML page. Obviously its easier when the elements are on the body of the page. But what if the page has frames,iframes or javascript and i want to extract links that these elements reference to. How do i do it? I know some of you would recommend my class to extend the parsercallback class. But is there a way for example i can use 3 or even 4 different iterators each pointing to the different elements ?
and lets say if i reference to a SCRIPT tag of the HTML, how do i extract the possible URLs in it. Same goes for iFrames and JavaScripts. Can anyone please help me with this ?

The form action needs to be the page URL. The INPUT fields/objects of your form will be sent as parameters when the form is submitted. These parameters can be read by your portlet by using the parameter passing PDK services. It is recommended to use qualified parameters in case the portlet that reads the parameters is the same as the one that has submitted them.
As far as I remember the parameter passing sample portlet contains similar code to what you're looking for.

How to change/increase iFrame height

When working with categories in Content Services, the new Category window that opens is set to {W:650,H:500}, yet the iFrame that displays the category content is set to 130 pixels - "overflow:auto;max-height:130px". About 2/3 of the content real estate is lost, forcing users to scroll up and down.
What is the proper way to increase the max-height setting of 130 pixels in order to avoid scrolling up and down to see the content?

How many gateway supported by PGW ?

Does anyone know that the number of maximum gateway support of PGW ?

Each instance of AE can only access a maximum of 4 GB of RAM (on Vista64). With the "Render multiple frames simultaneously" option in the preferences, AE CS3 and later can start several hidden copies of itself in the background, which can each address that maxmium amount of RAM, so your machine would ideally use 5 processor cores (5 x 4 = 20 GB and leave 4 GB for the OS.)
In CS4 you can set the number of cores to use, in CS3 you have to do it via a text file, detailed in this post:

Does anybody know how to insert an iFrame into a Edge file?

is it possible to change the z-index of two separate symbols?
Lets say you have layer one with mytargetsymbol as the symbol
and then layer two with texthover1
Can a function on mousenter swap them between the z-index.
I was thinking of something like the following which didn't work.
I was also thinking something like adding a +[i] option. Stepping the z index + 1 forward everytime you mouse over between the two symbols because unless you wrote a mouse out event putting it back to it's original z-index how else would you do it?

How to get "Calendar in the View" displayed on the page where Calendar web part is displayed?

I have a calendar with overlay set up for 5 views. When the calendar list is open in full page, the "Calendars in View" is displayed on the left pane with all 5 views listed by colors.
1) I want to display the calendar right on the home page, so I added the calendar web part to the page. But the problem is the "Calendars in the View" does not show up on the quick launch on home page, it only shows up in calendar list view.
How can I get "Calendars in View" displayed on left pane when calendar web part is displayed? so that users can select different views?
2) Also it will be better if the "Calendars in View" can display all components of the overlay when not in the default view, so user can toggle thru different views to see each one on the main pane.
Currently, only the default view has all colored views displayed under "Calendars in Views", once you click another view on the list, it just displays the current view, and you have to click the "Calendar" to see all and select another
one.
Really appreciated if someone can give a solution for at least the #1 problem. great if you have a solution for #2 as well!

How to limit internet access in dpc3925

That is how the gateway is designed. As for the other software that you can use for restricting the laptop, you can try searching the net but I doubt it will work since the laptop is connected to the gateway’s network and it’s only thru the gateway that you can restrict that laptop at certain times to connect to the internet.

CF8 DirectoryWatcher Gateway Doesn't Run When I Overwrite a File

I've set up a Coldfusion Directory Event Gateway on my site (Win2K3 server, CF8 Ent). The DW monitors an FTP directory where my users upload a batch of 5 PDF files each week. The files are named file1.pdf, file2.pdf and so on. When my DW gateway sees an addition or a file change, it copies the file to a new location, reads the PDF's meta data and uses that to rename the file and then add an entry to a database table for that file (the table entry gets used to populate a PDF archive list on a different page). In general this all works with a few exceptions.
ISSUE 1: If I add a new file, the gateway sees it and calls my onAdd function (which actually just calls my onChange function). If I rename a file in that directory, the onChange event fires and my code runs. However, if I upload a new file1.pdf file which overwrites the old file1.pdf, nothing happens. The new file is truly different and has a new modification date. I read through the Java class and mod date is how the gateway determines a change. Now, so far am not actually FTPing a new file in, but rather just coping it in from my local machine to the server directory via a mapping.
I saw a solution for a similar issue which talked about setting up the onDelete event b/c the FTP will actually delete then add the file. Does this sound like a solution?
ISSUE 2: I had a lot of CFM files that needed to be put into the archive, so I converted those to PDFs. I then put all of them in my watch directory so my script would process them. To my surprise, the script would only load 11 files at a time. So after some tests to confirm the issue and the correct number of files, I then loaded my batch, 11 files at a time. Any ideas why this would happen?
My Specs again:
Windows 2003 Server
Coldfusion 8 Enterprise
In my config file:
checking my directory every minute (60000 milliseconds)
only checking for .pdf extension
Set an onAdd and onChange function call, but no onDelete
my onAdd function simply calls my onChange function, passing
in the CFEvent argument that it received

We had the same problem here, and I agree that it is disappointing that the DW doesn't consider that a new file. As far as a workaround, what I did was change the way our process dealt with incoming files entirely. I used to handle the files as they came in, relying on Dave Ferguson's tricks for getting around files that were still being written to or otherwise locked (thanks, Dave!). Now, instead of that, I only do one thing when a file is received: I rename it with a datestamp and write this to our db as the received filename so that the additional processes can be run on it. That way, when that same filename is used by our client again, which is every time, the DW picks it up again as a new file. I don't know if that helps or not, because it still means you lose the functionality that used to be inside the DW instead of a scheduled task, but at least you know when an actual new file is received, regardless of its name. You may even be able to put your functions inside the onChange or onDelete if you keep the reference to the original filename, then have those do your work after the file is renamed and/or moved. In our case, the DW also kept hanging every couple of days so we were missing very important files. I ended up just restarting the gateway through code as the last piece of the scheduled task that runs every 30 mins to process the files.

How can I download music from itunes store at a higher bit rate than 128k?

I have been able to import music from cd's at bit rates higher than 128kbs by clicking into the preferences item under the "edit" drop down menu. however, I have not been able to locate a similar command for itunes music downloads. is it possible to increase the bitrate of music downloads from itunes faster than 128kbps? if so, how?

No, store downloads have always been ONLY 128 kbps. With new deal between EMI & Apple, sometime next month you will be able to download EMI artists only at a higher bitrate without the DRM, for a slightly higher price. For now, though, all downloads are still 128 kbps. Your import settings only affect the CD's you rip your self. Hope this helps.

It would be helpful to link an assignment to a specific page or chapter in an iBook or textbook from iBookstore. Anyone found a way to do this yet? I thought is was possible but can't figure it out.

Copied the tumblr URL specific to the posts I wanted to link to
Made the iframe URLs in each of the new pages directed to the tumblr URL specific to that blog post.
Just an idea since I couldn't figure out how to make the iframe direct to tumblr anchor or something similar.
