How to get ADF UI Component value in managed bean

JDev version 11.1.1.1.3.0
I have written a managed bean method and calling that method on valueChangeEvent of a Select boolean Checkbox ADF Component.
I want to retreive the value of some other component located in the same page as the checkbox. I need the value of the component into the manged bean. I know how to get the value of the checkbox eg:
public void selectCheckBoxListener(ValueChangeEvent evt){
boolean selectedValue = (Boolean)evt.getNewValue();
String oldvalue = (String)evt.getOldValue();
How can I access the value of an input text component in the above managed bean ? Can someone help on this?

String selectedRowId = (String)(evt.getComponent().findComponent("rowId")).getAttributes().get("value");
The above coding will work fine
but wht u have specified rowId???? whether the "value" field is inside a af:table????? if so i have doubt on the above code's working.....

Hi,
you can create a button with an ActionListener. In the ActionListener you can iterate over the rows (using the iterator) and set the value on the attribute. If you need to save the changes you can call the commit operation binding.

How to get readonly text field value in backing bean?

Below is my code in JSF.
<h:inputText id="prodLine" value="#{fbackingBean.value}" required="true" styleClass="readOnlyField" readonly="true"/>
This is a readonly field, and the value will been pass in by a pop up window. after the value had been passed in, i try to store the data which i had selected, but the value in readonly field (which show in above) return a null value.
May i noe how can i get the readonly field value in backing bean? thanks!

Why not keep track of the value in the backing bean? If it's a read only value set from a backing bean it should be simple to retrieve from a backing bean.
I'm new to JSF, but one thing that I have figured out is to try to put everything in the backing beans possible and to do as little as possible within the JFS web page components.

Let me reframe my question..
here is my code snippet..

return resultFromDB;
In the jsp and displaying all the rows using<h:datatable id="someId" value="#{someBean.rows}"
so far good.
In this page i have one submit button which will call confirm() of my managed bean.
In the confirm() i need to get all the rows. i.e; i need to get the myList.
I dont want to call the getRows() method again(since it is DB hit)
But myList is empty in my confirm method.
my managed bean is in request scope.
if i change it to session it is working.but i need request scope only.
I tried with <t:saveState value="#{someBean}" /> but no luck..
Later i have taken HtmlDataTable reference with setter and getters in the bean and bind this reference in <h:datatable>.
and tried to disply the htmlDataTable rowCount...
then im getting NotSerializableException though my bean is implementing Serializable interface..
Please give some suggestion in this

Hi i am bit struggle with filtering LOV values in ADF Faces UI.
I have table In UI ,that is from ADF BC .Now i am Filtering that table data using Select one choice in same page.That SOC is named Type App: ,So according to selection of Type in SOC table have to display.This portion is done.But my requirement is ,when i got perticular result table ,i want to add one more row related to that type only,so for that i had take popup and drag datacontrol as a form.In that form first column is Select one choice ,select Items will come from BC table.So here i want to filter those LOV values according selection in Type SOC.Suppose Type SOC contain Type1,Type2 values,then when i am selectin Type1,Type1 related date willl diplay on table,now click on ADD button popup will open and in that Type SOC will Dispaly only Type1 related values not Type 2 type values.Type1,Type2 values come from same Table.
Here i am asking every one,please do help.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to you want to get document set property value in a SharePoint library and then export into a CSV file using PowerShell.
I suggest you can get the document sets properties like the PowerShell Command below:

Just add to combobox ItemListener. When item is changing in itemStateChanged arrives 2 events. ItemEvent.DESELECTED and ItemEvent.SELECTED with corresponding item's values. Just write something like this:

You have to pass a parameter. An id is good.
Of course you have to get an id from somewhere in the result set right?

request.getParameter("id");
and look up the values related to that id in the database.

First of this not hte mysql or database forum so don;t repeate again.
to get diff between two date in mysql use date_format() to convert them to date if they r not date type
then use - (minus)to get diff.
