How to get previous member of current member..

Hi ,
I have a period dimension like below. in the calculation script , I calculate each month and to do that I need to use previous member.
I used @MEMBER(@PREVSIBLING(@CURRMBR("period"))) syntax. But this syntax does not work for apri, july and october.
for april I need march but marc belongs to another parent so it is not a sibling of april. the syntax returns null member for april , july and october.
I know @prior function but as far as I know it returns value not member or am I wrong. ?
is there any way or function to get the previous member of current member.

well , it worked I dont know how but I just used the syntax @CURRMBRRANGE ("yeartotal",lev,0,-1,-1) and I was able to calculate 12 months.
I still have douts though. I read the info about @CURRMBRRANGE and it says "Currently, this function can be used only within range and financial functions, such as @AVGRANGE, @MAXRANGE, @COMPOUND, and @SHIFT". I have not used any of these or any other function in my script but it worked anyway.

Do you mean that the footage layer has been trimmed (so that the start of the footage lines up with the start of the comp, but the first 19 frames are not visible), or moved to the left (so that frame 20 lines up with the comp's frame 0), or that the sequence actually begins with the 20th frame (at frame 0 of the comp), or something else?
Are the frame rates of the comp and the footage the same?

        0CALDAY can't help us in this scenario .
Step 1 :
    To do this - You have to add one ZDATE (InfoObject ) to 1st ODS. ZDATE is updated by itself from current date of system when ever you are loading data to 1st ODS.
Step 2:
   You have to do full update to 2nd ods.At the selection screen of InfoPackage (from 1st ODS to 2nd ODS ) you have to write following code for ZDATE.
pseudo Code:
1) Select fields "Rec_INSERT","Time stamp","Request Status" and "Request ID" where ICUBE = ODS1 from table "RSMONICDP"
2) Populate above selected fields data in INTERNAL TABLE
3) Sort INTERNAL TABLE by Time stamp .
4)
     If (Record Count = ' 0 ' for current date in internal table )
     update records from ODS1 to ODS2 where ZDATE = "yesterday date"
     else
     update records from ODS1 to ODS2 where ZDATE= "today date"
     endif.
Make sure this is full update not delta update from ODS1 to ODS2

my input would be any date
for example :
Input Date : 2006-03-22 ( yyyy-mm-dd)
Output should be : 2006-03-21
If my input is 1st of April 2006, output i would expect is 31st March 2006

I need to get the number of currently active external modes. This can be done by calling function THUSRINFO. But this only works propperly, if you are logged on only once. If you are logged on more than one time then the function returns several entries in the parameter USR_TABLE. The entries mainly differ in the first parameter TID (type UTID, INT4) "terminal-identification" but how can I know which is the valid one for my current session. Functions TERMINAL_ID_GET, SPH_TERMINAL_IDENTIFY and SPH_TERMINAL_ID_GET dont work.
Or is there another way to get the number of active external sessions?

The requirement is I need to grab the url of a page which is currently opened by the user.
Is there any way to get it from accessing the tables like wwv_things or wwpob_page$.

You may wanna explore the two API's (wwsbr_all_folders and wwsbr_all_items) and make a bridge to get the name of the portlets that appear on the page.
something of the following nature should be enough to take you where you want to go. here c.name is the GUID of the item you are looking for.

FROM portal.wwsbr_all_folders a, portal.wwsbr_all_items c
WHERE a.LANGUAGE = 'us'

this will work in the portal but not in the sqlplus or any querying tool. for that purpose, it will work once you establish the context of user.

I am not sure this is the correct way to do it, but I tried it out a bit and found that the following will work (that is, I tested it on NT :-)):

Here is some information from the FDK Programmer's guide page 115:
IMPORTANT: A valid text range can span multiple paragraphs, subcolumns, or text frames.
It cant span multiple flows, footnotes, table cells, or text lines.
It is possible for a document to have no text selection or insertion point at all. This can occur in

So, I did select one or more entire table cells in the document in my first test. It's logical that the result was not like expected.
But selecting one or more entire table cells is a crucial requirement for my plugin, is there anyway to get things straight?
Simply put, I want to enable users to select one or more table cells in the document, and I want to get the object handles of the first cell and the last cell through Framemaker API calls. How?

   I would like to display the job status from yesterday and from time 20:00 onwards.. ie. it should display the job_SEQ 1354. ( start_time >= (sysdate-1)||'20:00:00') and also want to disaply previous days execution time for same job (ie. for 9th Sep).
The result should be --   Job_name PREV_START_TIME, PREV_END_TIME, TODAYS_START_TIME, TODAYS_END_TIME, STATUS
As I am displaying the jobs from yesterday 20:00 hour onwards.. I am unable to get previous execution time for the same job.
I tried with Analylitical function LAG but it's showing PREV_START_TIME.and PREV_END_TIME as BLANK.
Could you please help me to resolve the issue?

The internal format for dates is yyyymmdd. Therefore you can just grab the month value from the date:
data lv_month type FCMNR.
lv_month = lv_date+4(2).
Just subtract from the month to get the two previous.
data lv_previous1 type FCMNR.
data lv_previous2 type FCMNR.
if lv_month = 1.
lv_previous1 = '12'.
else.
lv_previous1 - lv_month - 1.
endif.
if lv_previous1 = 1.
lv_previous2 = '12'.
else.
lv_previous2 - lv_previous1 - 1.
endif.
Then do your lookup for the month name by reading the table returned from function module MONTH_NAMES_GET.
