How do we fetch the naming attribute of a LDAP using JNDI. Is this possible using JNDI..?
By default, every LDAP has been set with a naming attribute such as 'uid' or 'cn'. This could be changed according to business needs.
How to determine this using JNDI.

You cannot reorder the dffbeans. In DFF setup definition itself, you have to maintain the sequence of the fields.

How to get the checked attribute of a checkbox item from a PL/SQL process?

Hello,
I have a simple static form with one checkbox linked to a LOV containing one single value. I use this checkbox just to enable/disable other fields via Javascript. I am interested to fetch the "checked" attribute of this checkbox (and not the value of the checkbox) from an After Submit PL/Sql page process, so that I can process only the enabled fields.
I can already imagine a workaround where we may store via Javascript the checked attribute of this checkbox in an hidden page item and then getting it from there, but I would really like to avoid it, as it would add unnecessary complexity and I would have to add more code to keep the hidden item always in synch with the checkbox status.
Is there something like the V('page_item') PL/Sql function that can get a different attribute from a page item (like the checked one from a checkbox) and not only its value?
I searched the forum for an answer to my question, but I couldn't find anything related.

Paolo,
HTML checkboxes are POSTed only if they are checked. So if your "checked" value is 'Y', for example, then your after-submit process can check if the item's value is 'Y' or not. Of course, you must be careful to set that item to null (or some non-checked value) in session state during page rendering so that previous values are not retained.

Check if both the attributes are under the same context node.
If so directly call the getter method of the other attribute here like this:
lv_customer_type = me->get_customer_type( attribute_path = 'STRUCT.CUSTOMER_TYPE' ).
If it is under a different context node,check if it is available from some relation, if so
    lr_agr_rel = current->get_related_entity( iv_relation_name = 'TpmAgrre'l ).

I created a Selection screen by adding attribute M_HANDLER of type IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS.
This way I can create a selection screen with normal select-options.
Now I added a parameter for a dropdown list. The Value set is passed correctly. No problem there. The values are filled and diplayed correctly.

The problem is to GET the selected value in the method that is called after clicking on the Search button.
I tried using several methods, for example GET_PARAMETER_FIELD and GET_SELECTION_SCREEN_ITEMS.

It looks like I am missing a step (maybe to set lead selection for this field). What did I miss?

I want to sent an email notification before user's password is expired, so I need get the value of attribute "passwordexpirationtime" for all the users.

1.we need send email notification to user before password expired as a lot of users not often login servers(UNIX) and they even can not get password expired prompt, these users are personal UNIX users, not service users. we need the value of passwordexpirationtime to do a script to send email.

when I go to DS server GUI, configuration->Schema and select "passwordobject" under Standard Object Classes(Read-Only), I can see there are "passwordExpirationTime" Under Allowed Attributes.
if NOT, what I need do to grant the access (or through create custom object), how this will affect our ldap server as ldap server is very critical.

I have design form for both tables.
In BILL form i am trying to get values of Tax_ID from Tax_Rules table at run-time by using WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE.
For this whenever i select a Sub_Head_Code in Bill Form, all the Tax_IDs that i have recorded against each Sub_Head_Code which is either 1 or 2 against 6% and 3.5% respectively.
But I want that whenever i select a "Sub_Head_Code", Only that Tax_ID which is associated with that Sub_Head_Code ahould come in the LIST ITEM.
I have used WHERE clause but that is useless.
Following is the Code that i have applied in the WHE-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE Trigger at FORM LEVEL

In the Tax Rules table, you state:
"Sub_Head_Code" field is unique
In the Bill table, you state:
Sub_Head_Code and Tax_ID are behaving like composite foreign key from Tax_Rules table
If the Sub_Head_Code is unique, then it's acting as a primary key, so Sub_Head_Code and Tax_ID in the Bill table are not behaving like a composite foreign key. The Sub_Head_Code is a foreign key, and the Tax_ID is irrelevant as far as keys are concerned.
It is not clear what it is you want to do.
If you want to display the Tax_IDs from the Bill table when you select a Sub_Head_Code from the Tax_Rules table, then change your query to:
select TAX_ID, TAX_ID from BILL where Sub_Head_Code = :Tax_Rules.Sub_Head_Code
If you want to display the Tax_IDs from the Tax_Rules table when you select a Sub_Head_Code from the Bill table, then change your query to:
select TAX_ID, TAX_ID from TAX_RULES where Sub_Head_Code = :Bill.Sub_Head_Code
If this is not what you want, then clarify what it is you want to do. Don't say:
"I want that whenever i select a "Sub_Head_Code", Only that Tax_ID which is associated with that Sub_Head_Code"
because it is not clear what tables you are referring to.

Hi, I ran into a similar issue when specifying WebLogic specific descriptors in ejb-jar.xml and the corresponding weblogic-ejb-jar.xml. My session bean is stateless - I don't know how much it will help with your statefull bean managed config but here are copies of the ejb.jar configuration xml I used to use.
