How to give space to variable after every letter

hi,
i am having variable like this
123445
i have to diplay like 1 2 3  4 4 5, is there si any FM...
i dont to want to use offset logic

hi Siva
Use WRITE "USING EDIT MASK"
You will need declare only more one DATA.
data: X(10) VALUE '123456',
      Y(40).
WRITE X TO Y USING EDIT MASK '_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _'.
WRITE Y.
use at edit mask '_ _' the most number of space declared at your data.
ex:
x(2) -> mask '_ _'
x(5) -> mask '_ _ _ _ _'
x(8) -> mask '_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _'

  • How to insert horizontal line dynamically after every line item in sapscrip

    Hi All,
I have to insert a horizontal line  after every new item in sap script.
    How to do this .
In some material there is2 line item or in other line item it ay be more .
How to insert horizontal line dynamically after every line item
    Point will be rewarded
    Regards
    Niraj

    Hi Niraj,
You can get your work done by keeping the horizontal line (&ULINE&) after all the item level fields, in this case once each item line is written you will get a horizontal line.
In case you have different fields for the item lines which are optional (not printed every time) then you can have them in an IF....ENDIF condition and below the endif use a horizontal line.
    Some thing like this:
    /E ITEM_HEADER
    IL <TI>Item,,Material,,Description</>
    IP <TI>,,,,Quantity,,,,Price,,Price unit,,,,,,Value</>
    / &ULINE(71)&
Let me know if this helps, else please describe your problem with an example.
    Luck.

  • How to give space between date mm and year in terms of bytes

    Hi Guru,
In sapscript I want to give space in datae formate betweeen day and month , month and  year in terms of bytes.
    Example :
if datae is 2009/08/18 then I want to move like   2009     08       18. Here the gap between the date field and month , year fields is in terms of bytes. Like 4 bytes gap between year and date, 5bbytes gap between day and month  in ECC6.0.
    Please help in this.
    Thanks,
    PJ.

    hii prakash,
                                  Use the Function Module.
    RP_FORMATING_DATE
If you use this FM then automatically it will convert it to YYY MM DD format and then you can use as per your requirement
or you can do like this
Use following code to change the date format from DD.MM.YYYY to YYYY MM DD
    DATA : DATE(10) TYPE C,
    DATE1(10) TYPE C.
    CONCATENATE DATE6(4) DATE3(2) DATE+0(2)
    INTO DATE1
    SEPARATED BY ' '.

Your setup is a bit irregular, because it will be off for 5 seconds, on for two, of for three, on for two, etc.
Heres' one simple possibiility, modify as needed.

  • How to add spaces in outline after each heading

I like to use outlines a lot.  However, I noticed that everytime I press enter to start a new line, the cursor is placed immediately after the header.  I'm used to there at least being one space put in by default when I press enter.
Is there a way to add these auto spaces into my outline format?
    Example:
    I want:
    I.  New topic
    not
    I.New Topic

Use the style Numbered list from the style drawer. It adds a space between the number and the paragraph line

  • How do you stop the "alignment" after every print job?

We got this printer because at first received great reviews, it had a fax, copier and printer.  However, as discussed in another forum, we are wasting color ink when we print in black/white.  I just installed a magenta and already it has lost 1/4 of the ink for "aligning".   Is it set up in the programming to align after print job?  I"m so over this!  I have to hit cancel then wait 4 min for it to cancel.  I have algined and everything is ok, not sure why after each print job.  I followed "HPs guidelines" on the program but there is nothing there to address this issue.  Any help or thought would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    chickie5,
You would want to go the set up menu on your printer.
Then go to the >Fax Setup Option
Next go down to  > Fax Reports
    It should look like this:
    Fax Reports
    Fax Confirmation
    On(Fax Send)
    On(Fax Receive)
    On(Send and Receive)
    Off
You should be able to turn off the option on fax send.
Let us know if this helps or not.
If I helped you at all it would be great if you clicked the blue kudos star!

  • How to give command line arguments

does anyone help me out in how to give command line arguments after run my program
    m using netbeans6.0.1

If you want your program to take console input while it's running (as opposed to command line arguments, which are passed once, when you start your program), you can wrap a BufferdInputStream or a Scanner around System.in.

  • How to give two spaces after new order in alv

    hi
my issue is after every new order number they need two blank spaces, i know the procedure of giving new page for every new order but they need only two blank lines. (This is in ALV List format).
second thing is how to give footer
    thanks

    hi
use this variant of appendf for inserting blank lines
    Append INITIAL LINE TO ITAB.
    Effect
Appends a new line to the end of the internal table itab. You can only use this variant with index tables (standard or sorted table).
If you specify wa TO , the new line is taken from the contents of the explicitly specified work area wa.
If you use INITIAL LINE TO, a line filled with the correct initial value for the type is added.
If the part before itab is omitted, the new line is taken from the header line of the internal table itab.
If you use the ASSIGNING <fs> addition, the field symbol, <wa>, points to the line you have just appended. If you use the REFERENCE INTO ref addition, the data reference, dref, is filled with the reference of the line you have just appended.
If the target table itab is a SORTED TABLE, it must be sorted correctly after the append, otherwise a runtime error results.
After the statement has been executed, the system field SY-TABIX is filled with the index of the last line in the table.
    Cheers
    Snehi

  • How to remove space from a variable in a smartform

    Hi,
I have a problem in displaying a variable in a smartform..The variable shows some blank space that preceeds the data.
    for eg:,
    variable =        18.000.
How to remove space before 18.000?

To remove the decimal places for quantity and rate/quantity , use the syntax to restrict the number of digits after decimal places. The syntax is
    &symbol(.N)&
where N is number of decimal places.
Since you dont want decimals use &symbol(.0)&
For the other case it depends on how the currency is represented , any way try using the syntex &symbol(T)&
Please give me reward point If it is useful
    Thanks

    Dear experts,
In my requirement I am printing invoice line item details. In my program,I am printing 8 columns. How to give the constant space in my output.
My issue.: here am fetching Internal Excise Document Number (DOCNO) item number (zeile) plant (werks) quantity (menge) storage location (lgort) and so on.
when i am fetching the values from the table, the values are different from each and every rows. so nothing would be aligned properly into the column. For example, if the  doc no is having 10 char, from item no all the values of the column is getting moved to right side. in my second row doc no is having only 2 chars. in this case every column value is moving left side. its looking like realigned and not good.
How do i give constant space for each and every column. so if the values are more or less it could not be moved to any side.
please hellp me to solve this issue.

    Hi,
check out ur tab positioning in paragraph format...any misalignment is their or not.
second thing you can do is checkout your printer i.e zebra printer or .matrix etc. your using sometimes misalignment happens
in printer..or print some sample values for verifying the root cause .
    regards,

    1. Please add to the gateway init file HS_NLS_NCHAR=UCS2
Then test again with a new SQL*Plus session.
When it continues to fail, what's the character set of the Oracle database being used and how did you set the NLS_LANG in your environment?
