How to make a callback to be executed between PreUUTLoop and PreUUT?

I am building a model in Teststand, which will be a base of any client sequence file, I expect some of callbacks in the model to be executed between PreUUTLoop and PreUUT, how can I do it?

You can make as many callbacks as you like execute between the PreUUTLoop and PreUUT callbacks. Just as an example, here is how I would insert a new callback a modification of the Sequential Model:
- Copy over the <TestStand>\Components\NI\Models directory to <TestStand>\Components\User\Models directory.
- Open the SequentialModel.seq found in the User\Models Directory
- Go to 'All Sequences' under the view dropdown. Right click, and select Insert Sequence.
- Rename the sequence to whatever name you would like. Right click on this newly created sequence, and go to Properties... Click the Model Tab, and select Model under the dropdown box. You have now created a model callback. The only thing left to do is insert it into the "TestUUT" and/or "SinglePass" execution sequences.
- In the view dropdown box, select the TestUUT execution sequence. You'll notice that quite a few subsequence calls and statements are already used between PreUUTLoop and PreUUT. Note the "Next UUT" Label. If you would like to have a callback run only once, before the start of the UUTLoop, you'll need to insert the sequence call before this label. Otherwise, you can insert the sequence call after the label. For this example, lets insert a sequence call before the NextUUT label. Right click on PreUUTLoop Callback step, and select Insert Step >>Sequence Call.
-Go to specify module under this sequence step. Select the current file checkbox, and choose your newly create model callback from the dropdown list.
At this point, you've inserted a model callback between PreUUTLoop and PreUUT.
Chapter 10 of the TestStand reference manual should provide you with a lot of information on modifying the process model. Make sure to take a look at it.

2) how to reliably automate the change of several hundred legacy root-relative links of the form

That is, to
../images/image.jpg or
../../images/image.jpg or
../../../images/image.jpg etc…depending on where the directory is.
The old format (/images/image.jpg ) used to work fine in my previous DW 8 configuration but appear grey in DW after “upgrading” to DW cs5.5 mac. (they look fine on the server, but it’s hard to edit image-heavy pages locally when they are all grey).
I tried changing the files to how DW creates root relative links now:
/public_html/images/image.jpg, which is a very easy, attractive root flow since there’s a one-to-one mapping. These look great in DW but are broken on the server!
I looked at the “advanced” site setup, and it looked like it might be possible to nuke the /public_html/ part of my server info…but it also looked like there was the potential for doing damage changing these settings, which are automatically generated from our server connection settings, which seem to work.
The “links relative to document/ site root” toggle…does that change how DW interprets existing links, or just change the default when you are adding a link? I have made 80% of the file links document relative…before wondering if root-relative isn’t better?
It sure seems less ambiguous for all those images if theres a way to make root relative work for DW design view, DW link check, and server.
Summary of buggy behavior: (see test with images here)

Thanks for jumping on this.
All clear and understood about where publc_html is etc.
No contemplation of nuking the actual public_html directory on the server, just the "/public_html" text string at the start of the DW-generated links.
"/public_html" is automatically added to the front of the link in DW if I create the link with any of the GUI tools, if I have "site root relative" selected. And ""/public_html" ends up in the code, and gets uploaded that way to the server, where it (obviously) doesn't work.
Doesn't sound like it is supposed to work this way. Also, what seems to be the usual root relative format (/images/image.jpg) shows as a broken link in the GUI and an external link in the DW link check. All this togther makes me thinkI have some obscure setting incorrect?
The setting that caught my eye is manage sites/ site setup/ advance settings/ local info/ web url, which is automatically set to http://www.oasisdesign.net/public_html/
it gives an option to change it but it makes every effort to make this NOT look like something users should mess with:
Having gone through the more careful thought process during this post, I'm ready to do the experiment of changing the remote server web URL (why is it wrong by default?)...think I'll eat dinner first so there's 45 min to avert disaster if anyone knows this to be a bad idea!

Selenium is opening a fresh firefox session and prompting for username and password every time. I am also trying to modify my script such that it will use the same session again and not prompt for username and password. But I thought of asking this question in the group.

Hi,
You can set enabled property of /atg/dynamo/servlet/adminpipeline/AuthenticationServlet/ to false. It will not prompt for authentication.

When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

How to make a callback from a separate class

I've got a class that I'm trying to instantiate in downloadButton, which handles a bunch of NSURLConnection/authentication stuff, and I want it to make a callback to setWebView after it's finished. I don't think I can use the delegates built into NSURLConnection because then all the events will have to be handled by my base class, and I really just want to be notified when the connection and download has been completed and be given back the saved filename.

i tried adding them manually in source but it didn't work. so I assume that this property is good with pie chart alone.

I am i bit puzzled by the use of iphoto/imovie/itunes.
I have a Sony camera which generates jpg photos and mpg videos; besides, i have 3gp and mp4 videos from cell phones.
Firstly, i imported all of them to iphoto. I used a automator workflow to help importing from hotsynced Palm centro files, to discover the first problem with the 3gp files: they could not be iported by workflows.
Still, they could be seen in iphoto, but then i tried to make a slide show. My idea was to put the photos and videos of a certain event to be watched together, or at least to be able to watch the videos in a sequence, without having to click on each one.
I didnt get it in iphoto, so i switched to imovie. it was even worse, since it cannot import the mpgs and the 3gps (the jpg photos were ok). What could i do about that? is there any converter or other way?
then i tried the itunes, and it was the opposite: it imported and played in sequence the mpg videos, but not the photos. This is a workaround anyway, since the program expects to play movies, and makes my daughter a "star", but that`s ok, she is one to me.
i'll be thankful for hints on how to make the imovie compatible with the 3gp and mpgs, or finding some way to do this edition in iphoto or even with itunes.

QT Pro ($30) and MPEG Streamclip (free) complement each other. In many cases one can do things that the other cannot. For instance, MPEG Stramclip can handle/edit multiplexed formats while QT Pro cannot. QT Pro allows layering of data tracks while Streamclip does not. Streamclip merges file streams more easily than QT Pro but QT Pro allows the "Movie to MPEG-4" export to "passthrough" the video while Streamsclip does not. And so on and so forth...
I was referring to the mpegs from the Sony camera, of which a have hundreds, shot in the last 3 or 4 years, mainly from my 5-year old daughter. Is the above true to these?

By "sony camera," are you referring to a still digital camera (multiplexed MPEG-1) or a Sony video camcorder taking MPEG-4/AVCHD with AC3 audio in an MPEG wrapper, a Sony DVD/HDD camera storing some kind of MPEG-2/AC3 files. On a Mac, the extension MPG normally refers multiplexed MPEG-1 (or MPEG-1 audio layer) files while MPEG normally refers to multiplexed MPEG-2 video content with MPEG-1, layer 2 audio (MPEG2/MP2) but may also refer to files with MP3 or AC3 files in an MPEG, VOB, or TS wrapper. In addition it may loosely refer to elementary M2V video streams (M2V video file paired with a separate AIFF or AC3 file), a standard MPEG4/AAC file (in an MOV or MP4 wrapper) or a standard H.264/AAC file in MOV, MP4, or M4V wrapper). Since the handling, conversion, editing requirements vary with each type of file, it becomes important to what specific kind of content/file container we are dealing with here.

I should also point out that when I connect my iPhone, it DOESN'T appear as a connected drive on the desktop. For someone new to XMLDB I find it hard to make sense of the enormous amount of information (and easy to get lost in it). So I come here to ask for directions.
I have to build a procedure that fills a table of spatial objects based on XML input. Basically the XML contains a large amount of elements that describe the geometry type and contain the geometries coordinates. The XML can get quite large (200-300Mb).
Somehow I have to process each element and create an sdo_geometry object.
Now let me ask a very broad question: What would be a good way to handle this?

I have been reading the labview help for the sync functions, but I am still confused about how to perform this simple task. I have a labview program that connects to a DSP via serial (RS232). I use VISA Read and VISA Write to read to and write from the device. My goal is to first write, wait until writing is finished, then wait for, say, 100 ms (so that it is ensured that all the data has been sent correctly), and then perform the read operation.
At the moment I have VISA Write connected to VISA Read via the error out-to-error in wire. However, I am not sure that they perform one after the other correctly, so I would like to implement a more robust synchronisation.

There is also another issue with the synchronous mode on VISA calls. As far as LabVIEW is concerned it is done once the data has been handed to the OS or lower level drivers. For instance, if you use the synchronous call for a VISA write on a TCP connection it will virtually always return immediately even though a trace (using something like Wireshark) clearly shows the data being delaying, buffered and sent out well after the call to the write complete. Given this is NI's position on how this call should work I imagine you could run into the same thing with other interfaces. Their position is that once they have handed the data to the lower level for delivery the call is complete, regardless of whether the data transfer actually was completed.
Even so, if you know what the data you expect back looks like you can simply use the read timeout to effectively give you the delay. Putting arbitrary delays in such as the wait 100 ms may work now but not work in the future. You are far better off to use your actual data streams to control your synchronization. This is especially true in a command/response type of protocol.
