can any one tell me how to make a picture button in oracle form builder?

Only a icon can be pasted on the push button. We can not user jpg,,jpeg or gif for the picture only ico file can be used.
go to properyt pallet,
make iconic as yes
give the path in icon filename --- C:\Program Files\Winamp\eMusic\eMusicClient
where eMusicClient is -- icon file name without extension, dont use " " in path

Hello again!
I have a rather strange request that I got recently from my employeer regarding a form that we are currently working on:
We have a form with a Acrobat created button on it that links to an attachment. She does not want the button to appear when the document is printed.
Is this even possible??

You can set the form field to be "Visible but doesn't print" rather than "Visible". This is far easier than the scripting solution.

You can set up a button with a "Submit a form" action and use a mailto type URL to specify the email address you want the forms sent do. If you want to send the entire PDF, select that option and not FDF or anything else. The mailto URL should not include any spaces and the "mailto" part should be lowercase, like:
mailto:[email protected]
This will attempt to initiate an email using the users default email client. If the user does not have one set up or there is some other problem, the email might not get initiated. If it needs to work with Reader versions prior to 11, then the form needs to be Reader-enabled, which you do in Acrobat 11 by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools

Rounded end buttons (e.g. Oracle Look and feel) are do-able in both 6i and 9i using PJCs in the 9i demos see the rollover button example, in 6i I seem to remember that there is a RoundedButton sample in the demos.
Both sets of demos can be downloaded from http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms.
If you want circular buttons then you'd have to use an Image for that.

I have a master-detail form. In the detail block, I have several records. Here is my name table.

I would like to create a button trigger which shall perform the following:
1) insert a record into database with a copy of current value. In the above case it will insert create a record for John as name_type = 'OLD'. So we have total of 5 records. Commit the transaction.
2) Scroll through my detail records (5) and go to one specific record and erase the values from it. In the above case, it should find John's record with name_type = 'Current' and erase John from it.
How can I accomplish this in Oracle forms using a button-pressed trigger?

Simple, using current values you can create new id , 'old' and name so oracle will create record, now refresh block, next using next_record in loop you can find record,erase one and refresh block.

there are various ways of doing it..
You can try as the previous post says or also you can try When new block instance trigger and disable the item
using set_item_property , it all depends on when and how you want to diable that item.

Adobe pro 8: how to make an existing secure encrptyed form unfillable after editing

as the discussion topic says.
adobe pro 8: how to make an existing secure encrptyed form unfillable after editing? Is it even possible to do in adobe pro 8?
For work there's a secure and encrptyed form. I want to write in the form and save it so it will be unfillable / uneditable.
this form is not created by myself, and already secure and encrypted.
I am aware that in other recent adobe pro versions on how to do this, since they have a " save as a copy" function in the file menu. (adobe 8 doesnt have)
I've also tried printing as a PDF, but due to encryption of the form, that doesn't come out great.
Upgrading to a recent version of adobe pro is not an option.
I've also tried exporting as a picture files and then recombinding them to a pdf. I dont like this method and find it time consuming.
If possible please inform me of a way to solve this problem , step by step with adobe pro 8's features.
or
show me the equivalent method to how recent versions "save a copy" of a secure encrypted form on adobe pro 8.

Well after you use save a copy, and the security is disabled, you could then re enable security features and disable editing of the form.
EDIT: I just tested , with a PDF is in secure mode, even using a "save a copy" feature wouldn't work.
Would finding a program to desecure the pdf be a possible option?
Or is there a way to copy the form (with all it's editable fields) and paste it as an unsecure pdf?
You would then be able to make new security features.

how to pass parameters to crystal report, please help.This would entirely depend on crystal reports and you might find informations on crystal reports related communities more likely...I for one have seen crystal reports the last time about 12 years ago. And even back then I simply acknowledged it's existence instead of working with it.
Maybe crystal reports can be invoked via a URL call which would make it simple as you'd need simply build an URL and show the report using web.show_document. But that's pure speculation. Also you might not be the first with this requirement, so the solution to your problem might be right under your nose and just a little google search away ;)

how to make a field in adobe form noneditable. like info keys..
when this form is sent through worflow the receiver shudnt be able make changes to the field value...(I have a form, which has fields prefilled(like pernr employee name) but these fields are in editable able..(i want only some fields to be uneditable not all)

You can create a single textbox using the textbox option here (This is for you to enter text - not for the visitor): http://jingsite.businesscatalyst.com/jing/2013-09-30_2212.png
If you want to create a textbox for the visitors to enter text, then you need to enter a form, and you can delete the "message" field from the "simple contact" form, but not the name and the email fields (those are mandatory and can't be deleted).
You may want to check external forms in case you want to have the form rather customized, to check if you can have forms with single textbox. An example would be "Jotform".

How to make the buttons INVISIBLE in the Application toolbar

I have a requirement to create a button in the Application toolbar of the Module Pool Screen. The field should be made Invisible by default. and it should be displayed based on one condition.
Could you please let me know how to make that particular button INVISIBLE. I think we can make it invisible by using EXCLUDING statement. But, How to make the button VISIBLE again when the check is satisfied.
I found from the portal that the FM 'VIEW_SET_PF_STATUS' can be used to make a button INVISIBLE. Could anyone help me out how to pass the parameters to this Function module?

Hi,
Try to use below in the PBO module status_0100 OUTPUT.
DATA t_fcode TYPE TABLE OF sy-ucomm.
refresh t_fcode[].
APPEND 'Function code name of the button' TO t_fcode.
Check the condition here for which you want to make field visible.
DELETE FCODE of the button from T_FCODE table
ENDIF.
SET PF-STATUS 'STATUS_0100' EXCLUDING t_fcode.
