Hi ,
I have requirement of passing the data from popup view to source. , searching some data in popup view and displaying in table,
Like i am passing some input and click search button will display the data in table, when select any of the row in the table and click on the another button , i should be able to pass the select row to the source view and also should close the popup.
When i implement , In the popup windiw, when i enter the customer no, and click on search button, it is closing the popup itslef. not able to see the data in popup.
Can u tell me what is that soultion.

1) Source view
In "Source View" i have input field called Customer_no. But, the end user will not have any idea , what customer no to enter. so i am searching the customer no in the popup view.
1) Customer_no( This is an inputfiled , to get the customer no from the popup view)
2) Get Customer NO( This is a button to call the popup view)
"Get Customer NO" This button action will open the popup view.
In this popup, i have
1) Input field (To enter the search term)
2) Search (To seach the customer no based on the search term)
3) Table ( To display the search data)
4) Button in Table tool bar called "Select" .( To close the popup view after selected the required data in the table to pass it back to the source view).
so in the popup view what happening is, when i click on the search button itself , it is closing the popupview by transfering the first row of the tbale ,with out select the required row in the table.
i need to close the window after click on the "Select" button in the toolbar , after selected the required row data to trasfer in the table.
Can u pelase tell me what are the modifcations i need to do it.

Try using portal events. You will have to register and handle the required portal event in your WDA application.

I want to delete text from a cell or table but not the cell or table themselves. How do I do this? The 'delete' function does not work.

I have a table with 2 colums and 10 records.Now i want to send the selected record to the R/3.
Once the user checks the checkbox i retrivred the colum values of that row into a string array.
and i added all the string arrays to an AbstractList.
Now in function module it is giving as setT_Operations(AbstractList)
but it is giving error..can u plz tell me how the function module understands the individual String arrays

Hey try to accept the values of a column as import parameters to a BAPI and you can send the data.But this will work out for a single data.
In the BAPI insert the data making use of insert command.
ITAB-COLUMN1 = IMPORT PARAMETER 1.
ITAB-COLUMN2 = IMPORT PARAMETER 2.
INSERT INTO VALUES ITAB.
If you want to insert multiple records then you have to change the cardinality of the node.And add the node elements to the node.If any doubts then do reply.

R u telling abt Bex OR BPS variables
if Bex variable then u can write the code in Exit where u can read the variable value when u select something in drop down then manupulate it or assign some value to other variable on the basis of some business logic..
If BPS variable then u will have to write a function module where u need to read the varaible value using that function module and then maupulate it...

How can I copy text from a table in a format that's readable when I paste it into an internet based data recording system?

I have to fill in forms regarding foster children every week, then export the text to an on-line data recording system for each child. The old pages let me copy (cmdA ) the whole document and past it into where it needs to go.
The new version includes inverted commas and I have to copy the document headers separately from the information contained in the table. It's a bit of a pain!

Passing a value from internal table to a powerpoint slide

How to pass query result to HTML table?

You can create an icommand query. You can then use the icommand retrieval methods to capture and manipulate the query data.

Basically what we did was, use the getColumnCount() and getRowCount() methods, once you have these two numbers you can set two for loops and use String getValue(int ColID, int RowID) , within the for loops you can generate the inner html content and write the values either in a html table or html form (which is what we did). This seems to work well, I'm still playing around with it and may post this approach on sdn by end of this week.

How to pass the data from a input table to RFC data service?

I am doing a prototype with VC, I'm wondering how VC pass the data from a table view to a backend data service? For example, I have one RFC in the backend system with a tabel type importing parameter, now I want to pass all the data from an input table view to the RFC, I guess it's possible but I don't know how to do it.
I try to create some events between the input table and data service, but seems there is no a system event can export the whole table to the backend data service.

Thanks for your answer, I tried the solution 2, I create "Submit" button, and ser the mapping scope to be "All data rows", it only works when I select at least one row, otherwise the data would not be passed.
Another question is I have serveral imported table parameter, for each table I have one "submit" event, I want these tables to be submitted at the same time, but if I click the submit button in one table toolbar, I can only submit the table data which has a submit button clicked, for other tables, the data is not passed, how can I achieve it?

Hi Alebet,
With reporting services to pass values from sub report in to main report is not supported directly.
But there are some workarounds through which you can get this .
There are two ways to get this.
1- Put your sub report query into some table. i mean to say through the subreport query get some temporary table.
2- Using this temporary tables data write some Scala function in the data base.
3- Now in your main report query return this scala function as a column.
4- Extract the column value where ever you want in your main report which is getting calculated from the subreport query. so you will be getting the values returned from the subreport in the main report.
This will definitely work fine as i have done some report in this way.
Another way of doing is that
1- prepare another data set with the same query as in sub report in the data tab.
2- then refer this 2nd dataset in your main report .
But better way will be the top one.
Anyway please let me know if you get the solution.

By selection screen, what do you mean? There is no selection screen in WDA as there was in classic dynpro. Do you mean you are using the Select-Options reusable component? Are you wanting to call a standard transaction via ITS - SAPGUI for HTML? Please provide more details to your question.
