How to read the processing log of message control ....

Hi,
I would like to find the idoc # generated by message control ...
The input is delivery number that uses message control....
In the delivery header output part, we can see the idoc # by pressing the
processing log button, but i don't know how to get this log in ABAP program
    any good suggestions? Thanks

Hi,
Do you mean to read the mail content in R/3 inbox or UWL..?
If in R/3 then SBWP transaction Unread Documents..
If in UWL see notifications part.
Please if this does not solve your problem> please elaborate on your problem

  • How to read the field value from Table Control

    Hello Experts,
I am creating my first Table Control Screen. Basically I have to create a screen (102) with a table control which has 2 fields: A_QTY, B_QTY and 2 Buttons: SAVE, EXIT.
When Clicked on 'SAVE' the data (MATNR) from a previous screen (101)  and the data (A_QTY, B_QTY) from the new screen (102) should be saved into a Z-table.
Internal table t_data has 3 fields.
    MATNR
    A_QTY
    B_QTY.
Table Control TC_RACK was declared like this:
controls tc_rack type tableview using screen 0102.
    I/0 Fields:
    A_QTY type ZQTY.
    B_QTY type ZQTY.
    The screen Flow Logic:
    process before output.
    module status_0102.
loop at t_data into w_data with control tc_rack.
      endloop.
    process after input.
      module exit_0102 at exit-command.
      loop at tc_rack.
      endloop.
    module user_command_0102.
    module status_0102output.
      set pf-status 'STATUS_102'.
      set titlebar 'TITLE_102'.
      describe table t_rack lines tc_rack-lines.
    endmodule.                 "status_0102 output
    process after input.
    module user_command_0615 input.
    case ok_code.
       when 'SAVE_RK'.
       when others.
    endcase.
    endmodule.                 "user_command_0102 input
Now for eg, when the users enter values for A_QTY and B_QTY like this:
    A_QTY     B_QTY
    1000         2000
    3000         4000
How can I read these values and pass them to T_DATA so that I can save it into Z-table?
    I greatly appreciate your help.
I've gone through some previously posted threads and could not understand because my knowledge in this area is preliminary.
    Thanks a lot.
Could you please let me know

    Hi dev a
    You should use
      DATA: lv_name(30) TYPE c.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <QTY> type ZQTY.
GET CURSOR FIELD lv_name.   "Get the field name in table control
    check sy-subrc = 0.
assign  (lv_name) to <QTY>.  "Here you get the value in <QTY>
    check sy-subrc = 0.
Also use <your table control>-current_line to get the table index uo're currently on.
Hint: Do not use GET CURSOR LINE if you want to get table index since this gives you the line relative to dialog screen
    Good luck

  • How to read the BDB log ... and other questions

I am using a bdb database interface in the application openldap. When the bdb database there is established it creates, in addition to the data storage diles, a log file (log.0000000001). "file log.0000000001" reports that to be a binary file. How does one read that log?
I have asked this question on the openldap forum and was advised it can be read using tools provided by Oracle to support Berkeley DB, and was furhter advised to go the the Oracle Berkeley DB site. Well, I have done that ... looked around for evidence of any such "tools", but have found nothing.
Also, was advised there (in the openldap forum) that having that log file in the same directory with the data files is not a good idea, that it should be on a different spindle for performance purposes. I have looked at the BDB reference manual on line here but find no configuration options to move that log file to a different location.
    Help? Thanks.

    Hi Robert,
The information about setting log directories can be found here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/api_c/env_set_lg_dir.html
General information about log files that you may want to read about:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/gsg_txn/C/index.html
You can use db_printlog to display the log files:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/utility/db_printlog.html
The above link will also point you to a place to review the output. The db_printlog utility should be installed as part of your distribution.

  • How to read the error message like clipping positive or -ve in Tektronix oscillioscope 3012B

During acquiring the Sine wave or triangular wave from TDS3012B, if the amplitude or Max or min is clipping, how do you read the error?  I used *ESR?, first time when I ran the error query program, it gave me Error message saying it is clipping, after that If I run again, the error query , It would not give me the error message, I couldn't reproduce it, eventhough but On the screen if I measure, Amp, min and Max it says that it is clipping positive or -ve. I was wondering how to read the error message while aquiring the data?  If any one could help me that would be of great help.. Thanks

Usually, reading the error status register clears it. I'm not familiar with this particular model of scope but you may have to initiate a new acquisition in order for the scope to generate a new error. Another possiblity is that a new error will be generated when the vertical scale changes. Unless someone posts with an answer, I'd say that your best bet to get an answer is to contact Tektronix technical support.

Today we rely on Simulink to perform parameterization of your designs in two ways:
Parameterizable Subsystems and Blocks : Parameters themselves can be MATLAB expressions that need to be evaluated for which we need the MATLAB interpreter
The very useful Rate and Type propagation or Simulink compilation that allows us to specify types & rates in one location that gets systematically propagated to all.
To truly make the HDL Netlist that is generated from SysGen parameterizable, we would have to implement some of this capability in the HDL netlist itself by:
Using Generics(VHDL) or Parameters(Verilog) - We would have to capture the bit width(type) propagation through levels of hierarchies and finally parameterize the IP itself based on this value
Since IP itself does not have this capability through generics, we would have to package a separate tcl script that updates the IP parameterization appropriately in response to top level parameters(or GUI parameters)
Interpreting MATLAB expressions and translating them into VHDL/Verilog expressions (alternatively tcl expressions of IP). In simulink, mask parameters can be passed from one level to the next. Also parameterization of a block can be composed of Matlab expressions using variables from ancestor masks & the MATLAB interpreter – so we will need to somehow capture that as well.

  • How to read the Variance Analysis report S_ALR_87013139,  Pdt cost by Order

    Hi,
Could someone tell me how to read the variance analysis report, S_ALR_87013139 - Cumulative for product cost by order. The report has the following fields, Target (Debits),     Actual (Debits),     Scrap,     Var. Without Scrap,     Work in Process(WIP),     Control Costs.
I am looking to find how the numbers add up.
    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks Sridhar,
When I analyse the report S_ALR_87013139 - Cumulative , for a product for a period (with no scrap), I get the following
    Target (Deb) -   46,855.55
    Act (Deb) - 58,315.87
    Scrap - 0.00
    Var W/O- Scrap -  11,269
    WIP- 0
    Control Cost - 0
Here Actual - Target is not equal to Variance. What could be the issue?
Could you please tell me how SAP would update this report  with target & actual costs with respect to open production orders, carried over from previous periods.
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • How to read the tail of a large file?

My application writes to a log file. I want to read the end (say last 100 lines) of the logfile and display it on a web page. I dont want to read the entire log file as everything apart from the last 100 lines is irrelevant. Is there a way to do this? The only thing i can think of is to do this on a linux command prompt "tail logfile.txt > storehere.txt " and then read storehere.txt. Not ideal. Is there a way i can read the last 100 lines or better still have a continous stream of the last 100 lines of the log file?

This question has been ask here before; but, I am not sure that a good solution was found.
Assuming the file does not have fixed length records (then it would be easy), the only thing I can think of is:
Use RandomAccessFile to read the bytes in the file backwards and store them until you have processed 100 lines. In reality, you would probably not want to read one byte at a time but read "chucks" of the file into a buffer and process those bytes. Similar to how BufferedInputStream works only getting the bytes in reverse order.
    I.E.
Create a class that returns a byte of the file in reverse order. This class would fill a buffer with a chuck as needed.
One big issue with this idea is if you are reading Unicode characters - multiple bytes would need to be consumed to pass back a character and since not all Unicode characters are 2-bytes, this could get messy.

  • How to read the DB application error in JSP

We have the PL/SQL triggers that perform validations on the insert and update. If validation fails the RAISE APPLICATION ERROR is used.
On error the errorpage.jsp is called correctly, but my problem is that I can not read the actual error message from database.
All I am getting from exception.getMessage() is the JBO message. The exception.printStackTrace() does not help either. How can I read text of PL/SQL exception message ?
I have tried this test in errorpage:
    if( exception instanceof oracle.jbo.JboException ) { ...}
but apparently the exception is not JboException, since test fails.
I read about ApplicationModule.setExceptionHandler() and even build exception handler which does not do anything. I assumed that this would allow all exceptions to be passed to the error page. Nothing like that happens though. I still see only last JBO exception, I can not see the original DB exception.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi ankur,
    thanks for the quick reply,
I have got the answer for the first question.
Can u tell me solution for the 2nd question also. how to read the Portal user information in VC. like reading the Portal user information in webdynpro.
In webdynpro we can read any of the portal user properties or information like using the following code.
    Itry{
    IWDClientUser user = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
    String fName = user.getFirstName();
    String lName = user.getLastName();
    }catch(Exception e){
In the same way to read the portal user information in VC. BCz for every portal user we have created one custom properties, we need to read that propety value in my vc application, when the user logged in to portal and accessing integrated VC application.
I have seen one of the thead this is possible from VC7.0 of NW2004s, current my version is also the same.
    Portal 7.0
    VC 7.0
If u know how to do that, can u let me know.

    Hi Reddy,
You may find the run time of a PC using below steps.
    1. Call SE38 > /SSA/BWT > Execute  > Enter your PC , choose the date and time > Execute. Here Run-time of a PC is displayed. (or)
    2. Call RSPC1 > Enter your PC > Execute > Goto Log view > Right click on the start Variant > Displaying Messages > Note down the start time in Chain Tab. Now Right click on the last Process type of the PC > Displaying Messages > Note down the End time in Chain Tab. The Difference b/w start time and end time gives the Run-time of your PC.
    Hope this helps.

In order to read the content of the Redo Log files, you should use Logminer Utility
Please refer to the documentation for more information:

Why don't you use HttpUrlConnection class to retrieve data from HTTP server? This class already supports chunked encoding...
If you want to do anything by yourself then you need to read HTTP RFC and find all required information. Well in two words you may reject advanced encoding by specifying HTTP 1.0 in your request or download chunked answer manually. Read RFC anyway :)
