How to retry Processing Event

Hi Expert,
How can i retry the Processing event in B1iSN ?
Because i have some task those are stuck up on processing event from last 3 days it's not moving from the Processing event so how can i retry them ?
Please guide on this.

Thank you. You confirmed what I was thinking.
Do you thinking it is possible to have the retry function on the filtered items in one of the next version of B1i ?
If the platform is used to connect serveral systems, it can be usefull to be able to disable one flow and to have the possibility to retry it after reactivation.

Goto SE38 run the function module RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH by providing the entries in LOGID, TYPE, VARIENT, INSTANCE and STATE.
These entries can be get in the table RSPCPROCESSLOG. To execute the table entries go to SE16 and give table name RSPCPROCESSLOG and press enter. Then in the processchain where the chain got stuck, double click on the varient and goto chain tab and you will get VARIENT and INSTANCE.
Copy and paste these in the table RSPCPROCESSLOG selection screen and execute. Here you will get LOGID, TYPE, VARIENT, INSTANCE.
Enter all these field in function module RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH by providing the STATE as G and execute.
Your stuck process chain will move further.

How to trace the EVENT's source which triggers the process chain

I am currently involved in a new project, which does'nt have any documentation of the system. There is a process chain which is triggered by the event ( say..... "BI_START") and it gets triggered every day night,.......
But the problem I have is, I could'nt trace where this EVENT gets triggered....

I want to get all the process task which are failed after retried 5 times.
For e.g Create user task in AD retried for 5 times but still it is in failed state. I want to get all such process task.

Goto transaction SM62 and in there to BckProcEvents tab. There you can create the events.
You just need to specify the name and Description of an event.

How to find process chain using background job in sm37

Better is to select the job.
Select (Define) Step (s) or F6.
Select the line and Menu Goto>Variant.
The variant contains the name of the CHAIN and its VARIANT.
Success
We faced an old job and via job monitoring we were informed about a cancelled job every 'interval'.
We noticed that the related chain was deleted but still the job was scheduled each interval again and was cancelled because an event was missing
We could not find the scheduled job via SM37.
Via view V_OP, view over tbtco abd tbtcp, we find the related entry.
We delete these entries via function BP_JOB_DELETE....

Post Process Event Handler ----Unique Constraint Violation--Create User

Hi Evryone..
I am creating the user using the create user request template and there is one level of approval for this.
I have one pre process event handler which populates one field A and one post process event handler which updates some 3 fields in the user form .
In request template itself we had placed value as "ABC" for field B and this field B will be overridden in the post process event handler with Value as "XYZ" .
Now when i raise the request the user is getting created in OIM but the value XYZ is not getting replaced in the field B.
Below are the errors which i got in the logs while executing post process event handler :

I checked reservations table and there are no records in that table.
Has any one faced this issue..if so how it can be resolved..

Are you trying to update the User ID? As far as I know during create user requests, OIM reserves the user login as it goes through approval and you cannot update that directly I think. I haven't tried it but can you tell me which fields you are prepopulating and which are you updating? Are there any OOTB fields in this or UDF?

How to trigger an event in the program

I have a program. The purpose of the program is to retrieve the data matching the selection criteria and downlod the same to a file.
In the selection screen, I have a parameter called 'EVENT'. Here, user enters some event name. Generally, they enter the 'Background job processing events'.
So, my requirement is... once the files are successfully downloaded, the program should trigger the 'EVENT' specified in the selection screen at run time.
Can someone help me in this regard. How to trigger an EVENT in the program. Is there any Function Module or Method available in SAP which triggers the EVENT at runtime.
And is there any table available in SAP which stores all the events available in SAP. Because, whenever the user enters an EVENT in the selection screen, we should check whether the event is valid or not. So, if there is any table available which has all the events then, it will be easy I guess. or is there any other way to validate the EVENT name.

Thanks for the reply.. we are not using the process chains instead we are using the infopackage groups. I created the event in SM62, But how should i assign this new event to my delta load.
In full upload infopackage, in selection option i can give the event there in "after event"
But my doubt is how to assign my event to the delta infopack

Process chain is nothing but executing a process ..(or) loading the data any process we can do in background.. that means.. automatically we can execute our process based on Time or any event..
Creating Process Chains
Prerequisites
If you want to include a load process in the process chain, you need to have already created an InfoPackage.
You cannot load flat file data from a client workstation in the background. For this reason, you have stored your data on an application server.
Creating Process Chains
You have the option of creating a process chain in the process chain maintenance screen directly or by using a maintenance dialog for a process:
Creating a Process Chain Directly in the Process Chain Maintenance Screen
You are in the BW Administrator Workbench.
1. Click on the Process Chain Maintenance icon in the AWB toolbar.
The Process Chain Selection dialog window appears.
2. Choose Create.
3. Enter the technical name and a description of the chain, and confirm your entry.
The Add Start Process dialog window appears.
4. Create a variant for a start process.
1. a. On the Maintain Start Process screen, choose whether you want to schedule the chain directly or whether you want to start it using a metachain.
2. b. If you choose to schedule the chain directly, enter the start date value for the chain under Change Selections and save your entries.
The Maintain Start Process screen appears again.
3. c. Save your entries, return to the previous screen and confirm your entries in the Add Start Process dialog window.

In the left-hand area of the screen, a navigation area is displayed. In the right-hand area of the screen, the process chain is displayed.
5. Use the drag-and-drop function to add the relevant processes into your process chain.

We are experiencing exactly the same problem!
Only in our case its Wssp1.2-2007-Wss1.0-X509-Basic256.xml
We encrypt and sign the request, the server processes it correctly.
But afterwards we send a "naked" request(not encrypted nor signed) and still the WLS processes it.
Is there a setting of some sort that enables strict enforcement of the policy?

The background control options are available to directly schedule the start process. You can start the start process immediately , that is when activating the process chain, for a specified time, or after a particular event. When you activate the process chain, the start process is scheduled in the background as defined in your selections.
You can also trigger the start of a process chain via a meta chain. A meta chain is when a process chain, to which you set this start condition, is fixed to another process chain. The process chain is started directly by this meta chain.
When you start the start process via a meta chain, it is not scheduled after you activated the related process chain. The process is only started when the meta chain, to which it is linked, is running.
The remaining chain processes, that is the application processes and the collection processes, are scheduled to wait for an event.
The start process has the following special features:
Only the start process can be scheduled without a predecessor process.
The start process can not be a successor to another process.
Only one start process is allowed for each process chain.
One start process can only be used in an individual process chain
