As i am novice in Oracle JDeveloper10g i tried small module
in Struts 1.2, i was able to compile sucessfully
all action classes and actionfrom and jsp file
, setting required libries . Now when i build
my project which under my work space it shows
same compilation suceesfull message which
was shown in make.
how my jsp page will run in ocrj server embeded
in Jdeveloper , how to proceed , what is the wrong

open the Struts page flow diagrammer, select a JSP file and choose run from teh context menu

     Presently I am using Oracle JDeveloper 10g Early Access version
          ADF Business Components     10.1.3.34.12
          Java™ Platform          1.5.0_05
          Oracle IDE               10.1.3.34.12
          PMD               JDeveloper Extension 1.7
          and OC4J.
I want to debug all the Java files between request submission and getting response from the server in j2ee application. This we can do in eclipse ide by putting break points where ever we require and running the server in debugging mode. But I don't know how this can be done in JDeveloper/OC4J. Please can any one of you guide me, if you are aware of it. Thanks in advance.

Change parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time.
Default value for this is 600 seconds (10minutes).Change it to a time which you think you need for copying infocube data.
May be 5 hours.
PS:You can not run Function Module in background directly,but you can create a Z* program and call that FM from within that program and then run the program in background.

Something is writing out to both the JSP Response Writer and OutputStream. Writer is for text and OutputStream is for binaries.
This typically happens, especially on WebSphere and Oracle OC4J, when exporting a Crystal Report in the viewer. The DHTML view is HTML text, but the exports are binaries.
I'd recommend putting Crystal Report Viewer object in a Servlet - there you'd have full control over what goes in Writer and OutputStream. Once in the Servlet, ensure you don't write anything out yourself, but let the viewer have full control over what goes out.

Because, I have lot of functions, procedures & package's in my project.
Which is running in field filed.
So, i have needed to protect 100%.
Also, will i convert to al functions, procedures & package's to .pll file ?
And .pll file to .plx file?
Is it possible to convert .plx file to .pll file ?

No, wrapping is not a 100% secure method. It could prevent your code from amateurs, but not from professional hackers. Look at the article http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28370/wrap.htm#BEHGBJAA
It says: "•Wrapping is not a secure method for hiding passwords or table names.
Wrapping a PL/SQL unit prevents most users from examining the source code, but might not stop all of them."

Error while running JClient in Oracle JDeveloper 10g (Windows XP)

Hi,
I am a new user to JDeveloper. I was trying to build the application using the tutorial by Oracle at:

But when I tried running the MainForm.java, it is giving an error:
(oracle.jbo.JboException) JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NullPointerException, msg=null
Can anyone help me solving this.... Also where can I find the materials to create an application using BC4J and JClient. Any good books to refer ???

Yeah, I am able to run all the Module from the Model. The error is coming when I am trying to run the View. Either running directly from view or individual Java file, in both cases getting the same error:

You can find in knowledge exchange a script to create an flash file item type. With this installed you can add a flash file to an item region on a page.

Here if ITAB is having 4 records, Function module Z_SAMPLE will be runned 4 times one by one .

if you print a Reports to the file system then this happens on the server. Your options are
a) Run the Reports with destype=cache and have the user printing it from the Browser
b) Print the Reports to the file system as before and make the directory accessible on the Web so that you can call the file using web.show_document()
c) You use Run_Report_Object() and print the reports to a network printer next to the user
d) check otn.oracle.com/products/forms for orarrp (an unsupported utility but working)

I searched for many many notes and SCN messages but none of them solve my issue, I have installed a standalone Gateway sevrer on database instance, and modified SM59 RFC SAPXPG_DBDEST_SAPSRVCEPDB, but the connection test for this RFC always failed.

Hi Fresh,
In a distributed environment you need to install SAP gateway instance on the DB host.
Then in the RFC destination SAPXPG_DBDEST_SAPSRVCEPDBLAN maintain the gateway host and gateway service.
Post this db13 should work fine.

How to run ejb client on a separate host using Oracle example

The example I used was under $ORACLE_HOME/javavm/demo/examples/ejb/basic/jdbcimpl
If I used the Makefile provided to run the client and server, it worked ok. Now I tried to move the client to an NT machine and it did not work. (BTW, the server was on a Linux machine.)
What I did was to copy the compiled class and jar files to NT (Client.class, employee/*.class aurora_client.jar, vbjapp.jar, and vbjorb.jar). After I ran it, I got an error in javax.naming.InitialContext.lookup.
I compiled and ran the code using jdk1.1.8. If I recompiled the code on NT using jdk1.3, I got a CORBA.OBJECT_NOT_EXIST error.
Any clue?

Copy the following files to the CT's machines. Copy the server_generated.jar also to the CT's machine. In your case the file will be there in the $ORACLE_HOME/javavm/demo/examples/ejb/basic/jdbcimpl directory.

How to run a SQL server store procedure from Apex (oracle)?

Our application needs to call a store procedure in the SQLserver database. The sotre procedure works fine in the SQL server side. However, when I tried to call the store procedure in TOAD as:
exec my_store_procedure(para1, para2);
I kept getting the error message:
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'my_store_procedure'
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored
I have searched online but couldn't find the solution. This is an emergency, so prompt reply is Highly Appreciated!

I don't think that Generic Connectivity supports stored procedures.
