How to search item classes

Hi,
Is there a way to search for a specific item class in the item classes list? Neither I could find a way to sort them, so it is more pain to search for a specific item class.
Thanks.

Hi Puppethead
this is true and is exactly what I did when I first started working with Discoverer. However, not everyone has that business area installed.
For anyone wondering what we are talking about, here is a workflow:
1. Launch SQL*PLUS as EUL owner
2. Locate and execute this file: EUL5.SQL - you will find it here:
$ORACLE_HOME/discoverer/util - usually: C:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\discoverer\util
3. Exit SQL*PLUS and launch Discoverer Administrator
4. From the menu bar, select File | Import
5. Click Add File
6. Locate this file: EUL5.EEX - you will find it here:
$ORACLE_HOME/discoverer - usually: C:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\discoverer
7. Click Next
8. Accept all default and click Next
9. Click Start (located top right)
10. When done - click Finish
11. You will now see a new business area called The Discoverer V5 EUL
You should now be able to log into Desktop or Plus as the EUL owner and run the workbooks that were also installed by the above process. There are four of these, called:
EUL Access
EUL Data Definition
EUL Query Statistics
EUL Workbook Management
The one you want in order to look at the list of values is called EUL Data Definition. Open this and look at the worksheet called Item Classes.
I hope this helps
Best wishes

  • How to search a class in list of  jar files

    Hi All,
    I am using Windows XP. I have some 100's of jars and I want to find in which jar file a particular class exists. The search option in Windows XP (except Windows 2000) doesn't help. I tried the sourceforge.net jarbrowser tool but it's search functionality is not working.
    Can anybody please suggest a nice tool or approach ...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kr.

    I know of one named ClassFinder that will do what you want.

  • Searching items in InfoPath form library

    Hi,
    I have an Infopath form library, in which I have done the property promotion and exposed some of the columns.
    I am trying for search functionality. How to search items in infopath form library? Is there any OOB webparts which can be used to display search criteria and the results. I do not have access to Central Admin, and hence cannot create Managed metadata properties,
    but the columns are exposed in InfoPath form.
    The infopath form has repeating table as well.
    How to achieve the search in InfoPath form library?
    Thanks

    Hi Venkatzeus,
    Have you tried using contextual search for this InfoPath form library?
    Please go to site setting page->Site collection ->Site Collection Administration section->Search Settings page, select the value "Show and default to contextual scope" for option "Site Collection Search Dropdown Mode",
    then please go to the InfoPath form library to test the search using "This list:YourFormlibraryName" dropdown (and wait a full crawl if needed).
    See more information from below.

  • How do I clear previously typed searched items

    I have a problem
    When ever I am typing something on google or youtube, in the search box...a huge list of previously searched items that i typed in shows up when i start writing something with that same letter..
    on my pc, i would just select the whole text within that list and then press delete, so that the list goes away....
    how would i do it on the mac? its really annoying seeing all the stuff ive typed before every single time...
    i would appreciate if someone can help me out with this small situation
    thanks so much!
    ps: im new to mac, if u couldnt tell...so please dont mind...haha

    Google's search is a bit different. There, once logged on to your G account, go to Google Preferences. Somewhere in that maize of selections you'll find the option to remove the searches.
    It's true that Google will keep a record of your searches if you're logged into your Google account. However, Google doesn't autofill those search strings in the Google search field; only Safari does that. So the procedure for clearing those autofill entries is the same as you gave for clearing YouTube search strings.
    Instead of autofilling past searches as you type, Google's list of your search history is only accessed by clicking on the "My Account" link and then clicking on the "Web History" link. (And for what it's worth, clearing Google's record of your search history is via the option found at My Account > My Services - Edit > Delete Web History.)

  • How to search for particular string in array?

    I am struggling to figure out how to search array contents for a string and then delete the entry from the array if it is found.
    The code for a program that allows the user to enter up to 20 inventory items (tools) is posted below; I apologize in advance for it as I am also not having much success grasping the concept of OOP and I am certain it is does not conform although it all compiles.
    Anyway, if you can provide some assistance as to how to go about searching the array I would be most grateful. Many thanks in advance..

    TOOL 2     8     3.85
    TOOL 3     35     6.92

    Ok, so you have an array of Strings. And if the string you are searching for is in the array, you need to remove it from the array.
    Is that right?
    Can you use an ArrayList<String> instead of a String[ ]?
    To find it, you would just do:
    for (String item : myArray){
       if (item.equals(searchString){
          // remove the element. Not trivial for arrays, very easy for ArrayList
    }Heck, with an arraylist you might be able to do the following:
    arrayList.remove(arrayList.indexOf(searchString));[edit]
    the above assumes you are using 1.5
    uses generics and for each loop
    [edit2]
    and kinda won't work it you have to use an array since you will need the array index to be able to remove it. See the previous post for that, then set the value in that array index to null.

    Download the PM accelerator kit appropriate to your environment, and check out the TestSearch2.java example.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/cs/developer/contentservicesdev/contenservicesdevkit.html
    Essentially you need to lookup the internal names of your category attributes, as well as have the internal name of your category class.
    categoryClassName = ...; // e.g. AHC_XXX
    attribute1name = ....; // e.g. CUSTOM_MYBOOLATTR
    you then create a normal search expression such as
    String attribute1Operand = "[" + categoryClassName + FdkConstants.SEPARATOR + attribute1name + "]";
    SearchExpression expr1 = new SearchExpression();
    expr1.setOperator(FdkConstants.OPERATOR_EQUAL);
    expr1.setLeftOperand(attribute1Operand);
    expr1.setRightOperand(Boolean.TRUE);

  • Query Search Panel not displaying search items in 11g on Windows 7 x64

    I have defined a view object with two bind variables in a query criteria.
    when I drag the query criteria onto a page - I get the panel with the search box - but the message says "no search items have been added".
    I went back and ran through the steps with the SR Demo - same results.
    I have tried redoing the search, using the default "all query items", query with table, and always the same results.
    If I do a query form - I get everything - but i really need the "nice" query table to work.
    Anyone else having this problem - or know of a solution.
    I have redone the cue card step many times - I can put the base object (view) on the page and it works fine.
    Edited by: rogerappl on Jun 30, 2010 12:49 PM

    OK, this may seem foolish, how do I drag and drop the ExecuteWithParams - this will need to be in the Datacontrol - I presume - I am using 11gR3 (11.1.1.3).
    I cannot even find documentation on this.
    You are correct - I created the bind variables when I defined the where clause - so I suspect this may be the reason.
    I would have thought that this would be automated - since it is pretty useless without it. There were no hints of this in the demo either.

  • How to search this forum?

    Before the recent change to the Apple forums, I could search for something and get a whole lot of results. Now it seems I'm limited to the first three suggestions and then I'm forced to ask a question. Is there something I'm missing?

    More specifically, how to get more than 3 search items?

  • How to search for a BADI in a transaction

    Hi All,
    Please let me know the steps to find a BADI for a transaction.
    Thanks,
    Jaffer Ali.S

    check this.
    u can find BADI's in different ways...
    1>First go to any transaction->iN THE menu bar SYSTEM->STATUS->Get the program name ->double click->u will go to the program attached to the tcode.Now search term will be CALL CL_EXITHANDLER.Now u will get list of BADI'S available..
    2>Goto SE24->Give class name as CL_EXITHANDLER->Display->double click on get_instance mathod->Now u will go inside the method->Now put break point on the cl_exithandler.Now go to any transaction code and pass dat..U will see that it will be stopped on the break point which u set on the cl_exithandler...In the exit name u can find list of badi's attached to the tcode..
    There are multiple ways of searching for BADI.
    • Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
    • Finding BADI Using SQL Trace (TCODE-ST05).
    • Finding BADI Using Repository Information System (TCODE- SE84).
    1. Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI, take the example of Transaction VD02. Click on System->Status. Double click on the program name. Once inside the program search for ‘CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE’.
    Make sure the radio button “In main program” is checked. A list of all the programs with call to the BADI’s will be listed.
    The export parameter ‘EXIT_NAME’ for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will have the user exit assigned to it. The changing parameter ‘INSTANCE’ will have the interface assigned to it. Double click on the method to enter the source code.Definition of Instance would give you the Interface name.
    2. Start transaction ST05 (Performance Analysis).
    /people/alwin.vandeput2/blog/2006/04/13/how-to-search-for-badis-trace-it
    3. Go to “Maintain Transaction” (TCODE- SE93).
    Enter the Transaction VD02 for which you want to find BADI.
    Click on the Display push buttons.
    Get the Package Name. (Package VS in this case)
    Go to TCode: SE84->Enhancements->Business Add-inns->Definition
    Enter the Package Name and Execute.
    Here you get a list of all the Enhancement BADI’s for the given package MB.

  • How to search for files using wildcards * and ?.

    Hi All,
    I've been searching the forum for a couple of hours now and have been unable to find a good example of how to search a directory (Windows OS) for a file using wildcards * and/or ?. Does anyone out there have a good example that they can share with me?
    Thanks

    Hi All,
    First of all I want to thank everyone for taking the time to respond to my question. All of your responses where greatly appreciated.
    I took the example code that was posted by rkconner, thanks rkconner, and modified it to allow me to search for files in a directory that contain * and/or ?. Yes, I said and/or! Meaning that you can use them both in the same file name, example: r??d*.t* would find readme.txt.
    I've posed my complete and thoroughly document code below. I hope it is very helpful to other as I have searched many forums and spent many hours today trying to resolve this problem.
    Enjoy
    * File Name: WildcardSearch.java
    * Date: Jan 9, 2004
    * This class will search all files in a directory using the
    * asterisk (*) and/or question mark (?) as wildcards which may be
    * used together in the same file name.  A File [] is returned containing
    * an array of all files found that match the wildcard specifications.
    * Command line example:
    * c:\>java WildcardSearch c:\windows s??t*.ini
    * New sWild: s.{1}.{1}t.*.ini
    * system.ini
    * Command line break down: Java Program = java WildcardSearch
    *                          Search Directory (arg[0]) = C:\Windows
    *                          Files To Search (arg[1]) = s??t*.ini
    * Note:  Some commands will not work from the command line for arg[1]
    *        such as *.*, however, this will work if you if it is passed
    *        within Java (hard coded)
    * @author kmportner
