How to see view table in discoverer

Hi All,
Can any one tell me how to see a view table which is a multiorg data to see in Discoverer as we know if some abc_v table by running in TOAD we are using
BEGIN
DBMS_APPLICTION_INFO.SET_CLIENT_INFO('ORG_ID');
END;
OR
BEGIN
FND_CLIENT_INFO.SET_ORG_CONTEXT('ORG_ID');
END;
But how to use this in Discoverer.
Regards,
Sushant

Hi,
Usually you set the contexts using either a Discoverer logon trigger or using the Applications system profile "Initialization SQL Statement - Custom" which allows you to run some PL/SQL to initialize the session.

  • How to see views created on query in a report.

    Hi
Could you please help me out urgently?
I have a question regarding how to see views created on query in a report.
Is there any table or query through which we can see views created on Query?
    Thanks & Regards
    Neha

    Hi,
If you created a view on any query,
    What is view ?
once you execute the query and save the output as view right ?
But we can not see the view in query output.
Insted of executing the query, directly we can execute the view which you have saved as query output.
Open the BEX and search for the view insted of query then it will give you the out put directly.
I hope it will help you.

    Yerrabelli.

  • How to see the Table Names & Field Names by other than F1 help

    Hi Experts
How to see the Table Names & Field Names by other than F1 help, & How to see the List of MM Table Names.
    Rgds

The only option to see the active table/ field name is through F1 --> Technical Information. Apart from this, you can use any 3rd part application like GUIex (INbuilt in SAP ECC 6.0 ... can be activated by clicking on the tri-color button on the top right), but you need technical knowledge to understand the information. As far consolidated list of MM tables is concerned, SAP don;t provide you the same at one place, it experience and knowledge which help you in this regard. For your immediate reference MM tables are as under :
    EBAN  - Purchase Requisition
EBKN  - Purchase Requisition Account Assignment
EBUB   - Index for Stock Transport Requisitions for Materi
EINA    - Purchasing Info Record: General Data

  • How to see the table in se11 that has been created in oracle 10g directly

    hi,
how to see the table in se11 that has been created at SQL> prompt in oracle 10g directly ?
is there any procedure to attache directly created table  into sap ?

I think you have to create it in SE11 first. Although you can probably use native SQL to access it from an ABAP program.

  • Reg: How to see Database tables in any Datasource?

    Hi Friends,
Please give me answer to see Database tables in any Datasource.
    Thanks,
    Rama

    Hi,
I dont think there is any Tcode for this.
    Try either of this.
Go to RSA2 (DS Repository) in your source system and display your source system.
If Extraction Method is 'V' - you are lucky and you see table name where data is taken from.
If it is F* - function module is used, and you have to go thru its code to see all the tables it uses and logic how data is
    processed.
    Ext. Meth   Short text
V                 Transparent Table or DB View
    D                  Fixed Domain Value
    F1                Function Module (Complete Interface)
    F2                Function Module (Simple Interface)
    Q                 Extraction Using ABAP Query
    A                 DataSource Append
    OR
Since you have the extract structure and the extractor, you can try Extractor Checker RSA3.Execute ST05 (activating SQL Trace), switch on the trace and execute the extractor checker. Once the extractor checker presents the results
switch off trace. The clcik on Display trace and you will see all the tables that were hit by the extractor checker to retrieve data and present it to you.
Note: Set the break point in the Extractor Function module.
View the ST05 Extended Trace list. The Object name shows the Tables accessed.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • How to see the tables which are in the physical layer of SampleAppLite rpd

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to OBIEE and I installed OBI Apps with Oracle 11g in my laptop. I tried to create reports using the OracleBIAnalyticsApps rpd. How can I know from which schema the tables are coming in the physical layer of the repository so that I can create a connection pool to the database. I got the default SampleAppLite rpd when I install the OBIEE but I am unable to see those tables in the database schema which are used in the SampleAppLite physical layer. Can anyone tell me how can I see the tables in the database which I see in the rpd. Actually my question may be wrong as I am new to this field, so please let me know if this is a wrong question. As I unable to express my question correctly. Thanks.

For the OracleBIAnalyticsApps rpd - the tables are under "Catalog" then "dbo" in database "Oracle Data Warehouse" in the physical layer. The RPD comes out of the box with the required connection pools - you dont need to create any. The connection pools "Oracle Data Warehouse Repository Initblocks Connection Pool" and "Oracle Data Warehouse Connection Pool" in "Oracle Data Warehouse" read the data from the business analytics warehouse that you created in a schema name of your choosing with the DAC. All you need to do is edit the user name and password and the data source name with a connect string - which is the local net service name to your database for default call interface OCI 10g/11g assuming you used an Oracle database for your warehouse. One way to test the connection pool is to right click any table/alias then "Update Row Count".
BTW Using the Admin Tool open the OracleBIAnalyticsApps rpd then do "Tools" then "Utilities" then "Repository Documentation" then "Execute". This will create a spreadsheet showing you all the mappings from the presentation to business to physical layers.

  • How to see what Tables are being used in all reports

    Post Author: tmashley
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    Hello,
How can I see what database tables are used in all my online reports? I have around 1000 reports posted to Enterprise over 6 different datasources. If possible I would like to see the fields within those tables that are being used to.
I am using Crystal Reports XI Release 2
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks,
    Tom

I don't think you can see the databases of the reports unless you download the report onto your pc as a Crystal Report format and then open it under Crystal Reports.
This way it will open the report within Crystal Reports and will show you the datasource it is coming from.
I doubt if you can see them online.
    Kind Regards

  • How to see multiple tables on the same screen using Mac Numbers?

I'm working with a spreadsheet on Numbers (iWork '08) on my Mac. I have three worksheets that each have one table in them. I'd like to be able to see two of the tables simultaneously. Similar to the "Tile" function that I used to use in Microsoft Word. Does anyone know if something like this exists? Googled for it until I was blue in the face and went back at least 500 threads here!!!

    Jon,
This will seem so easy once you get it. In the Sheets Pane, drag tables from one sheet to another until you have all three in one sheet. Then go to that sheet and arrange the tables to your liking.
I should note that you will need to make sure that the Sheet icons are expanded: click on the triangle next to the Sheet icon until it points downward and reveals the sheet content.

    Jerry

  • Crystal view table or SQL view table

In Crystal and SQL there have lot of View tables.  What kind of table called View table?  What's the difference with tables without view prefix?
I think view tables are few tables linked together for designers to use instead need to link few tables by themselves.
How to create view table and the purpose using view tables?

    Hi,
A view tables is, in essence, a virtual table. It does not physically exist. Rather, it is created by a query joining one or more tables.
You can search on the web for more samples.
