How to send attachments in oracle workflow?

i want to send the attachment in the notifiaction mail and i am using workflow 2.6.1.5.2 .kindly help asap.

Why don't you use the standard processing for PO output, there is a standard way to send po by mail as attachment.
Anyway if you need to link it with a workflow, you cannot use the "send mail" task from workflow builder. This kind of operation just can send notification withount attachment.
To send the po as attachment, you need to create your own task and method in a BOR object. I suggest you to start from the standard prosessing (CL_PD_PO_PROCESSING_BBP, method PROCESS_BBP_PO_MAI).

I dont think its possible using Send mail step type.
But it can be done by using the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1. Just create a method and Call this FM accordingly.

Hi,
To send attachments using Oracle Alert, you can follow below mentioned steps:
1) While defining Oracle alert Action, Select 'Action Level' as 'Summary'
2) In Action Details, select 'Action Type' as 'Operating System Script'
3) Select 'Text' radio button
4) Write following code : uuencode <Name of the file along with the path> <Name of the attachment in the mail>|mailx -c &cc_mail_id,&to_mail_id -s "<Subject of the Mailer>" &to_mail_id.
5) You can use mail or sendmail command also instead of mailx command.
6) Save Alert details

You can find init.ora or initSID.ora file under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs on linux and on Windows under $ORACLE_HOME/database. Otherwise you can create it using "create pfile from spfile" command

Two possible ways - neither of which I would recommend.
1 - Write a trigger on the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table, so that if the notification for the process that you require is sent, then you populate the mailer status column to 'spoof' the mailer into thinking that it has already sent it. That should suppress the email.
2 - Modify the flow to include an activity prior to the notification to change the recipient preferences to not receive email, send the notification, then change the preferences back.
Email is an "all or nothing" solution - either get email from everything, or get it from nothing. How are they planning on dealing with the notification that they are sent? If they are logging into the application to view the notification, then you could consider sending summary notification emails, and force the users to log into the application to view them all, rather than trying to adopt a half-and-half solution where some things come by email and some only come in the application.

When I create a message and send it to SAP, how can I send the attachment to SAP as well.
I upload a doc in the Document tab, but when i check the website, the document wasn't sent sucessfully.

If you do not get any error message I would raise a call.
According to [Note 569392 - SAP Support Desk: Sending attachments to SAP|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/569392] files with .doc extension are permitted.
Depending on your SP level you may implement [Note 1080131 - Check on attachments and file types|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1080131]. This way you can check if the files you attached are permitted by SAP.
