How to set input ready query to display mode and set edit mode in WAD?

when I create A input ready query but not set query propery start query in change mode ,but I want to set this query in input ready mode ,how to set this in WAD?

Hi, i have a question here about IP query.
as my current situation, my workbook included one input ready query, therefore, when i open my workbook which default is Edit mode which mean all value can be edited.
but, i want it to display mode when open workbook, and i already have a edit button, if i want to edit the value i will use Edit button, so, i wan it as display mode when i first open workbook.

How to set input ready query cell is different color?

Hi, everyone, hereby i have a IP question.
i would like to know, how to set the input ready query's cell different color between those cell which is unable to change value one in workbook..?
Example :
For my workbook which have a input ready query,
i have 4 rows for my input ready query report.
For the first row which is not input ready cell and unable to change any value for the cell, then following rows's cell can be change value,
so, i would like to make first row's color cell different with following row's cell.
In additional, all value of cell is initial zero.
therefore, is there any mehtod to make different color between able cell and unable cell?

Cells in the input ready query result have different styles given by SAP. All rows will have one style, column headings will have one style whereas input ready cells will have one style. If you are in Excel 2003, put cursor in the input ready cell, goto format -> style, you can see one BeX style attached to that cell, apply watever color you want for that style, save the workbook. If you do this for one cell, it will be applied to all the input ready cells by default. In the same way you can give different color to the non input ready cell styles. In Excel 2007, Cell styles are available in Home -> Cell styles. Here you can see all Bex related styles.

Input ready query and display only rows

I am trying to replicate scenario which is equivalent to creating manual layout in SEM-BPS with settings for layout category - Key Figures in Data columns, and rows defined individually. In this version it is possible to restrict certain rows as comparision only.
How can I acheive this using Input ready query? In my query I have created a strucure for Planning Items, but I am not able to show certain planning item selections as display only.
Any thoughts?

I already have two structures as mentioned by you.
Can you please let me know what exactly you meant by set the input flag on the cell level? What settings I have to change to set the flag, do I have to use any formula? In my example I have three rows for Planning item row structure and I want only one row to be selected as display only row.

Currently I have created Web template with Signle Document. When executed it in the Portal it will come up with a "Save" and "Cancel" button of its own and can allowing me to capture comment here & Finally Click on SAVE button which was stored in Documents area in RSA1.
Now I am was trying to figure out to display comments Row for Row in Input Ready Query...
Can you give ideas on this...

In query properties in BEx query designer you have to do settings to - Display document links
For metadata, master data, and InfoProvider data for a query, you can display links to Documents that you have created for these objects. If documents exist for these objects, the symbol appears next to these objects. If you click on this symbol, you jump to where the document is displayed on the Web.
Highlight the appropriate setting so that the document links for the desired document class are displayed. The document classes are oriented to the various categories of BW objects. InfoProvider data, metadata and master data.

Input Ready Query, Variable read mode setting Only Values for InfoProvider

Hi,
I have a problem with Selection Variable for a BEx Query :
- I'm working with SAP BI 7.0 support package 15
- My query is an input ready query built for an "aggregation level" based on "real time infocube" (Planning);
- Characteristic, I want to filter with variable, has query property Advanced->Query Execution for Filter Value Selection = Only Values in InfoProvider
- Characteristic (info-object) has set the property: Business Explorer tab--> Query Def. Filter Value Selection as Only Values in the info-provider...
My problem is:
when I execute a query,
the Select Values for Variables screen appears
I push on the Select from List button
and Select Values For MyCharacteristic appears...
but it shows me all values in master data table of my characteristic instead of only values in the infoprovider!!!
If I build a query for the Real Time Cube it works correctly, but if the query is built for the aggregation level it doesn't work!
Could someone explain me why it doesn't work correctly?

Regarding the query built on aggregation level please note the following
the aggregation level is always a Virtual Provider built other
InfoProvider and hence it does not have the dimension table and hence
the F4 mode D is not supported.
Therefore when aggregation level is used in a query, F4 does not supportD-mode: 'Only Values in InfoProvider' and all master data values are
displayed in the value list.

4. Since other InfoProviders do not have a dimension table, the system
displays only posted values if you select "Only Posted Values for
Navigation". Otherwise, it displays the values from the master data
table.

How can I do this input help in the Input ready query

Do you konw this function?
The following steps is that:
1,I create the Input ready Query.
2,I can insert the new record.
3,I can use the input help for the characteristics.
4,When I double the space, I got the pop-up for input help.
5,I want to get the function is that:
for example:
char1 is the char2 attribute.
char2 - - - - - - - -- - char1
m- - - - - -- -- - - - -a
n-- - - - -- - - - - - a
u- - - - -- - - - - - - -a
v- - - - - - - - - - - -b
w- - - - - - - -- - - -b
x- - - - - - - - - - - - b
when I write the "a" for the char1 in the new record at input ready query, I only want to got "m","n","u" for char2 from the char2 input help.
How can do it?

Hello Leon,
As you have already set char1 as an attribute of char2, what you would need to do is create an attribute variable for char2 of type exit.
Using a variable exit, you can pass the value of char1 to char2. This would then automatically restrict the selection list to "m", "n", "u" as values for char2 when you enter "a" as the value for char1.

How to create an Input Ready Query in Bex Excel with no transact data

Hi
We created a query where we want the user to put in NEW LINES. This query has in general no data when user starts planning.
We have 2 front-ends for this, Bex Web and Excel. Both shows initial 'no data available
BexWeb': Implementing the command set_data_entry_mode we get all the relevant columns for the input
Excel: Command set_data_entry_mode or set_input_mode does not allow the users to insert new lines. Still error message pops up 'no data available'
Do you have a solution for that ?

In the note 1149346 that you have mentioned, it says -
You must start the input-ready query in change mode.
BEx Analyzer: In the properties of the analysis grid, the switch
"Suppress new rows" must not be set. Furthermore,
the switch "Allow entry of plant values"
must be set in the local query properties.
I have not seen this setting Allow entry of plant values in a query - can you tell what is refers to?

How to allow users to record new lines in an input ready query?

Dear All,
I am using BI integrated planning (NW2004s) and I would like to create an input ready query with account numbers in the rows. I drag 0ACCOUNT into the line field in the BEx Analyzer which has many individual values in the relevant filter.
I do not want to show all possible account values in the rows automatically (there are too many accounts) but I would like if the user write the desired account numbers by hand or select them from a list of possible values.
In summary, I would like to create a solution similar to a BPS Layout where the characteristic combinations are 'From Transaction Data'.
Is it possible to create an input ready qurey in such a way?

Yes,
If you want the query to work like a "from transaction data" layout. Goto the extended tab on the charicteristic 0account and change the setting under "Access type for result values" to "Posted values" Then only lines with posted values will appear.

IP: How to hide currency/unit from input-ready query headers?

Hi,
Is there a way to hide currency/unit from input-ready BEx web query headers? I've used NODIM-concept for read-only reports, but with input-ready it won't work since formulas cannot be input-ready. Is there a setting somewhere or workaround? The web query is published by WAD.

Hi Aki,
If you wanna do this in input-ready query, there is only one scenario: you restrict 0UNIT and 0CURRENCY as one certain constant value for the 'Characteristic Restrictions' in the 'Filter', and DON'T set the according 'Can Be Changed at Execution' selected. Then the 0UNIT and 0CURRENCY can be put into 'Free Characteristics', no neccessary moving them to data area.
If there're multiple value for 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY for your planning, you can't hide them in data area of INPUT-READY query, since they belong the dimension 'U'.

How to implement the input help at web for the input ready query?

As you konw when we create the input ready query for Planning, we can insert the new record for plan with Analyzer tool. We also can use input help(double clike the space) for input the master data.
I want to konw when I use Web Appliaction Designer to run the query at the web, How can I use the input help for planning data.
My customer request me must implement the input help function at web.

How to calculate and save planning data in bex input-ready query using keyfigures for calculation from different infoproviders

Hi Dear All,
We have two real time infocubes and two aggregation levels based on these cubes in one multiprovider
first cube1 is like
char1| char2| keyfig_coefficient(single value for each combination of char1 and char2)
same aggregation level1
(we have input query to fill coefficients by one responsible user)
second cube2 is like
char1| char2| keyfig_quantity| keyfig_result
same aggregation level2
Input ready query should be like (for all other users of different org units)
char1|char2|keyfig_coeff| keyfig_quant(for input) | keyfig_result = keyfig_coeff*keyfig_quant(calculated value, should be saved to cube2)
And we don't have pregenerated lines in cube2, users have to add new lines themselves by wad.
Question is, what is the optimal (easiest) way to make calculation and save result data to cube2 where keyfigures for calculation should be used from different infoproviders. I need just a hint.
Appreciate any help.

We are using below design to develop an input ready query.
                   Input ready query
                       Multiprovider
Aggregation level 1      Aggegation level 2
Realtime cube 1            Real time cube 2
As we are developing Input ready query on multiprovider, it is automatically creating characteristic named 0INFOPROV at multiprovider and query level. 0INFOPROV contains values of Infoproviders on which multiprovider is created.
char1 cha2 Infoprovider                    key1     Key2
R1       #       Aggregation level 1        10          #
        P1     Aggregation level 2         #              20
During planning, we have to plan on separate row for each infoprovider.
is there any way we can avoid this issue and perform planning on single row for both infoproviders?
