How to set TabIndex in jsp fragments embeded in jsp

After googling a little bit I can find a way to set the tabIndex in my jsp fragments which are embeded in a jsp. I'm working with JSF and project woodstock.
I have embeded the fragment like this:
<div style="border-bottom: solid rgb(5, 5, 158) 1px; top: 1289px; position: absolute">
    <jsp:directive.include file="myFragment.jspf"/>
</div>I'll be really gratefull for your help.

try this:
your.jsp
<html>
<SCRIPT>function buttonClick()
{document.compform.submit();}
</SCRIPT>
<body>
<form name=compform method=post action='your.jsp'>
<%
//write your code which you want to execute once the button is submitted
String submit;
submit=request.getParameter("mysubmit");
if ((submit != null) && (! submit.equals("")))
%>
<input type=hidden name=mysubmit value="submit">
<input type=button value=add onclick='buttonClick()'>
</form></body></html>

  • How to set the HOME link from two frame jsp page to no frame main page?

    Hi all,
    i have one main jsp page named as main.jsp.
    From the main.jsp, i can click the button and link to the twoFrame.jsp.
    This twoFrame.jsp have another two different jsp inside the frame called Aframe.jsp and Bframe.jsp.
    i try to put HOME in the Aframe.jsp(one of the page inside twoFrame.jsp) but only the Aframe.jsp manage to link to main.jsp but the Bframe still there.
    My question is: How to set the HOME link button from this twoFrame.jsp to the main.jsp? what i want is from twoFrame.jsp(two frame) to main.jsp(no frame).

    No offense, but this is basic HTML. You shuold look into learning HTML before getting too deep into JSP. Try this: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
    But as a more specific answer, you have to set a target for the link to the _parent of your frame:
    <a href="main.jsp" target="_parent">Home</a>

  • How to set the classpath and path from the jsp to call  java class function

    Hi Exprets,
    I have a requirement to call a java class function which returns a hashmap object from the jsp. The java class in present in one jar file and that jar file is location somewhere in unix path. So the requirement is to set the classpath for that jar file and then create the object of the java class and then call the function.
    If any one know how to achieve it, please reply as soon as possible.
    thanks in advance,

    It is never advisable to store large data sets in the session. But it will depend on a lot of factors:
    1. How costly is the query retrieving the data from the database?
    If it's a complex query with lots of joins and stuff, then it will be better to store it in the session as processing the query each time will take a lot of time and will decrease performance. On the other hand if the query is simple then it's advisable not to store it in the session, and fetch it each time.
    2. Are there chances for the data to become stale within a session?
    In this case storing the data is session will mean holding the stale data till the user session lasts which is not right.
    3. How many data sets does the session already holds?
    If there are large no. of data sets already present in the session, then it's strictly not advisable to store the data in the session.
    4. Does the server employ some kind of caching mechanism?
    Using session cache can definitely improve performance.
    You will have to figure out, what is the best way analyzing all the factors and which would be best in the situation. As per my knowledge, session is the only place where session specific data can be stored.
    Also, another thing, if the data set retrieved is some kind of data to be displayed in reports, then it would be better to use a pagination query, which will retrieve only the specific no. of rows at a time. A navigation provided in the UI will retrieve the next/previous data set to display.

  • Set tabindex in application

    Hi All,
    How to set tabindex in all application pages without defining in every page_item and button? My flow is first page_item and after that button. It is possible?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Shiv wrote:
    I have many textfield, select list or textarea and button. My requirement is after all page item focus goes on button. It is possible using tabindex="n". but i have to provide in each page item and button. So it is possible to set automatic tabindex?By default, the tab index is the order of the fields on the page. If the button is positioned after all the items, the focus should automatically go there. If that is not the case, please explain where the focus is going to after the last item.
    Do you have only one button per page?
    In any case, I think the only way to achieve it would be somehow identify the last item and the button in the page and use some Javascript to set the tabindex attribute dynamically in a page zero dynamic action.

  • How to skip validation for tag file, or jsp fragment?

    hi
    I have some jsp fragment and tag file in a workshop 10 project
    workshop blame me about the jsp fragment (no start/end tag)
    and unable to publish to server
    is there a way to skip validation on some files?
    I do found an check box call "validate JSP fragments" and I have un-ticked it. It does nothing.
    please help

    Yes, you can turn off validation either on project/folder/individual file.
    Project:
    Project > Properties - Validation AppXRay - un-check "Validate Workshop managed documents" (this is not recommended, you may loose entire AppXRay validation).Folder:
    Project > Properties - Validation AppXRay - Exclude Folders tab, if all the JSP fragments are present in a particular folder (under WebAppRoot), you can pick that folder to be excluded from AppXRay validationFile:
    Help > Help Contents - BEA Workshop User's Guide > Common IDE Tasks > "Using AppXRay" - Live Synchronization of artifacts with AppXRay - On this page scroll to the bottom you will find a table with list of comments that can be included in a JSP file to exclude file level validation.Ex:
    <%--<nitrox:set-property property="validation" value="true"/> --%>
    Controls all validation in the IDE. The default value of true enables validation.

  • I download itext  for convert jsp to PDF. How to set content type for PDF.

    I download itext for convert jsp to PDF. How to set content type for PDF. I try
    <%@ page contentType = "application/pdf;charset=TIS-620" %>
    , but the page does not PDF.
    Thank.

    PDF files are usually binary files, JSPs are not well-suited for binary content.
    (If you download the result of your JSP you'll see that it is not a valid PDF file; it will have probably a lot of whitespace and linefeeds, that will choke your PDF reader.). The first few characters must be
    "%PDF-" without whitespace.
    You can try using PDF files encoded as text - check if you can use text-encoded PDFs in iText.
    Try using a Servlet instead.

    I'm so much glad to see JDeveloper giving out all the details and warnings, but sometimes they spit out too much warning messages that simply annoys and distracts my programming.
    There seems to be no parameters for me to shut those up, maybe I should do it manually?
    thanks.

    Ronald,
    I've already tried setting up the j2ee-config.xml file, but
    it seems that the warning message does not come from the oc4j, but is generated when jsp file is being compiled, so no matter what you do with the j2ee-config.xml, it would not work to remove the warnings.
    I was thinking maybe I could setup the java compiler option found in server.xml, by adding -nowarn option in javac options attribute, but it seems that the file server.xml gets overwritten automatically whenever the oc4j restarts (so, no avail).
    So... any other ideas?

    Dear Saurabh,
    I guess it is possible. Here is an example I have made some time ago :
    In my html page :
    <form name="form1" METHOD=POST Action=Lang ENCTYPE="application/x-www-form-urlencoded" >
    <p>
    <select name="code" size="1">
    <option value="big5">Chinese</option>
    <option value="ISO-2022-KR">Korean</option>
    <option value="x-euc-jp">Japanese</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-1">Spanish</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-5">Russian</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-7">Greek</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-6">Arabic</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-9">French</option>
    <option value="ISO-8559-1">German</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-4">Swedish</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-8">Hebrew</option>
    <option value="ISO-8859-9">Turkish</option>
    </select>
    </p>
    <p>
    <textarea name="entree_text"></textarea>
    <input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit" >
    </p></form>
    and in my jsp :
    // Must set the content type first
    res.setContentType("text/html");
    code = req.getParameter("code");
    example = req.getParameter("entree_text");
    PrintWriter out = res.getWriter();
    // The Servlet send to the Browser the informations to format the language type
    out.println("<html><head><title>Hello World!</title><meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset="+code+"\"></head>");
    // System recover the general Character encoding
    String reqchar = req.getCharacterEncoding();
    out.println("<body><h1>Hello MultiLingual World!</h1>");
    out.println("You have defined an ISO of : "+code);
    out.println("<BR>This is the code of the page that is displayed in this page<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("Character encoding of the page is : "+reqchar);
    out.println("<BR>This is the character code in the Servlet");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("You have typed : "+example);
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("");
    out.println("</body></html>");
    I think starting from this example it is surely easy to modify dynamically the jsp.
    The other possibility would be to use the Weblogic Commerce and the LOCALIZE function, so that you'll have an automatic redirection to the right jsp-encoding depending on the customer's language.
    Feel free to reply on the forum for any related issue.
