How to start a new listener in 11g

Dear all,
i am doing internal test upgrade of a 9.2.0.8 database to 11.2.0.1 as a part of 11i to R12 up gradation.
Right now i am in the database part(Manual Upgrade), and following the Metalink doc :837570.1
I have completed the "Upgrading Database to 11gR2" in 29th step.
In "Post Upgrade Steps Step 30" the document says to "start lsnrctl"
For the upgraded instance(s) modify the ORACLE_HOME parameter to point to the new ORACLE_HOME.
Start the listener : start lsnrctlmy doubt is ,, just simply giving the above command the listener create and start or do i need to modify any other parameters which i have to copy from old listener file.
Kindly some one explain me.

How to start the SCAN listener on new 11Gr2 install?

Ok...starting dbca on first RAC install on the new 11Gr2 cluster.
I was about to proceed from screen 3 to 4...and it comes up with an error saying the SCAN listener hasn't been started.
I started what I thought was the listener with lsrnctl start...but apparently that isn't enough.
What do I do to start the SCAN listener? I'm still a bit hazy on what this is for.....

Man..there just is NOT a lot of good, easy to find direct documentation on this.
I found this document that had some srvctl instructions:

And from there...I tried experimentingL

# $GRID_HOME/bin/srvctl stop scan

So...it appears I figured how to get scan and the scan listener running.
I'm guessing I need to do some form of the srvctl add....I found this:

This command is only available with Oracle Clusterware.

So, if I understand this correctly, to get scan and scan listener to autostart on boot I do something like this?
If my SCAN name is database-scan
I'd need to do srvctl add scan -n database-scan ?
For the scan listener, from the instructions it sounds like I can name it anything I want...is that correct...?
So I could do something like
srvctl add scan_listener -l fred ?

Here's an SCN tip for you: if you post multiple questions on the same topic and get detailed answers, then you should mark the questions answered and award some points (where merited).
Otherwise - eventually - no one will respond!
Anyway, onto your question. I personally think the best avenue of attack is to:
- join an organization that is already running SAP, even if it is in some junior position
- make it clear that you are very interested in SAP SD and are willing to do all the training etc yourself
- grab every opportunity you can to learn SAP SD on-the-job
There is little point getting certified if you have no experience. I don't think it improves your chances of getting a job (and it can be quite expensive).
Anyway, just my opinion! Good luck.

I'm wondering how can i press (enter) to start a new line when a BBMing in my Blackberry Z10? the same when I want to type a new Text Message!!
As when I press enter it send the message, and what i want is to add a new line to start a new sentence before sending it !!!

You can't currently do this in BBM or SMS. Maybe this will be added in a future update.
As a workaround, you could type what you need in Docs To Go, and then copy and paste it into BBM or SMS.

How to Start oracle web listener 'www'

I was able to start 'admin' listener successfully. However I am not able to start the www listener. It gives the message of "Unable to startup Oracle Web Listener 'www' and "Check NT Event log".
the NT Event Log says "The description for Event in Source Oracle_Web_Listener could not be found.It contains the following insertion string: A failure occured. (Address is already in use)When assigning a port (and then it gave me the domain name and port).
Please advise on how I should start the www listener. Thanks

As always, there are several solutions to the problem. A
simple one is:
1. Create a table with the newsletter texts (so that the
users can add new newsletters and send them out)
2. Make a query with the users to receive the newsletter
3. Make a query with the text you want to send out
4. Use CFMAIL with a query attribute to loop through the
query with the users
5. Within the body of the CFMAIL tag display the content of
the newsletter text to be added to the email
I'm sure there other and better practices out there - but
that's one that will work well for a smaller scale project. Don't
forget error catching as cfmail will fail if the email address is
in an invalid format (i.e. thisHasA [email protected]).

c) create an instance:

d) destroy the session
session.close();

and comes with tge nt3.51 resource pack which can be used
with nt4.0. I have used it and it works fine.

I am very new to ORPOS UI implementation/customization.
I am in process of customization/ changing the UI for POS Client.
Read the Operation Guide and it is very useful to start with.
But I am facing difficulties in setting my Eclipse to run the application :(
Following are the steps performed by me: -
1. Downloaded the source code
2. Loaded all the directories from the source code in Eclipse
3. Compiled the source. Got 1000's of errors.
4. Added the jars in the same order as mentioned in the operation guide.
5. Still the same. Not able to proceed further.
Someone please help me on how to set up my Eclipse to run the ORPOS Client application.
What are all the directories to be loaded in the Eclipse for UI development and running the application(TierLoader class) ?
Please provide me your expert advice and help me in getting started with ORPOS development.

I got a simple table where I receive 4 variables from the xsql
query:PNS (nom. size), POD (dia.(mm)), PWTH (Wall th.(mm)) and

because we also want to print it out, we are not able to present
more than 22 records in each table. How do I tell the XSL to

I downloaded the SDK, but there is now exe file, so I suppose I need to add these libraries to the new project in Visual Studio. I really have no idea how to do that, so let me beg you for your help. Hi! As long as I know, you cannot install SDK. The best thing to do is to explore sample projects - and then modify them for your own purpose.
