How to store pictures

I am seeking how to store pictures in a table. I know I must use the LONG RAW Datatype but I don(t know how to insert the pictures.
Could U help me please?
Thanx in advance
null

don't use raw data type if u r in oracle 8.0 or greater. For this purpose in oracle 8i BLOB data type is provided which is stored the image or any binary file.
for loading the image from any OS file to blob data type column, use dbms_lob.loadfromfile procedure.

    how to store pictures on I cloud?

    The only want to store photos in iCloud indefinitely is to add them to a shared stream (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing enough time for them to be downloaded to all your devices.

  • How to store pictures in the cloud storage

    Can you store pictures in the cloud service? What would the cost be and if at all possible or is it only for music..Thanks...

    Jason, is there a way to store the photos into a permanent cloud storage and keep them there? I guess, something like the itunes music, where apple saves all of your music....Thank you for the site, which has helped me considerably to understand what it is all about...Ciao, Jo
    Jo, not that I'm aware of as an offering from Apple. While the photo stream can serve that purpose for a finite period of time (it's a rolling 1,000) if you're looking for web/cloud hosting or something similar to the galleries feature that .Mac/MobileMe offered you'll need to seek it elsewhere. The good news, there are numerous cloud storage services out there most of which offer free storage ranging between 2GB and 5GB.
    I personally use Dropbox.com for photo galleries and cloud storage/file sharing. But there's several to pick from and all of them are quite good.

  • How to store pictures/files on icloud but delete off of ipad

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to upload their files/pics/vids to iCloud while also being able to delete them off of my local iPad?  My iPad is running out of space and I thought I could upload and store these files on the cloud while removing locally.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    You can't do this with iCloud; iCloud is designed to keep your data synced across all your devices and to back up your device, not to serve as a way to expand the storage of your device.  To do this, import your photos and videos to your computer and delete them from your camera roll, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

  • How iPhoto stores pictures in library

    Hi! I just started using iPhoto... I love the looks and possibilities from this program, but still have some questions regarding the library management. I know I should not look into the "iPhoto Library"-folder, but I like to know what happens with my pics before fully relying on the program...
    Basically, I noticed two key folders, "Originals" and "Modified". So far so good, and good to know that the original file is kept at all times. However, I cannot find the logic behind the naming of the different folders (sometimes there's just a date; sometimes a description), nor the splitting in different folders. Moreover, I noticed that the photos from one specific library appear multiple times in the "Originals" folder. I did indeed import and delete these pics multiple times, but I would expect that iPhoto would delete the pics upon deleting the album?
    Makes me remind me of the day I decided to manage my music library through iTunes; never regretted it... However, from my first experiences, it appears that iPhoto's database management capacities seem to be a bit poorer (e.g. naming of folders; deleting files; but also lack of a button to "Consolidate library"; I will have to use AliasHerder now)...
    Anyway, can somebody give me some insights how the database management works, before trusting my full photo library to it? Or should I use Aparture instead (although it doesn't look so fancy as iPhoto ).

    This is correct - yet you continue doing so - not really a good idea
    Basically, I noticed two key folders, "Originals" and "Modified". So far so good, and good to know that the original file is kept at all times. However, I cannot find the logic behind the naming of the different folders (sometimes there's just a date; sometimes a description), nor the splitting in different folders.
    iPhoto is a database and the logic behind the naming is what ever logic the database operations need - it is not designed for human use but only for iPhoto use - hence the advice to stay out of it - there simply are no user serviceable parts in the iPhoto library
    And from time to time the way elements within the iPhoto library are named changes with no notice so not only is there no reason to know, nothing you can do if you do know and it is subject to change without notice - which has happened several times in the past.
    Moreover, I noticed that the photos from one specific library appear multiple times in the "Originals" folder. I did indeed import and delete these pics multiple times,
    How did you delete them? The proper (only) way is to move them to the iPhoto trash (press the delete key or drag them there) and empty the iPhoto trash - iPhoto menu ==> empty trash
    but I would expect that iPhoto would delete the pics upon deleting the album?
    Language is critical - albums in iPhoto are logical things and deleting photos form albums does only that - to delete a photo it must be deleted form the event and the iPhoto trash emptied - then the photo is gone from everywhere including the hard drive
    Makes me remind me of the day I decided to manage my music library through iTunes; never regretted it... However, from my first experiences, it appears that iPhoto's database management capacities seem to be a bit poorer (e.g. naming of folders; deleting files; but also lack of a button to "Consolidate library"; I will have to use AliasHerder now)...
    iTunes and iPhoto are two entirely different products and operate totally differently - do not assume that anything you know about either applies to the other
    As to Alias herder and a "consolidate library" feature - your intent is not clear. Alias herder does one and one thing - replace aliases with the original file - it is a very useful tool for people who have failed to heed the advice not to run a referenced library - it helps them recover from the problems of a referenced library -- I have no idea of what you are thinking of using it to "consolidate your library" - and once again let me warn you not to mess with the content or structure of the iPhoto library - you will lose data if you continue to do that
    Anyway, can somebody give me some insights how the database management works, before trusting my full photo library to it? Or should I use Aparture instead (although it doesn't look so fancy as iPhoto ).
    You need to be looking at the results you want - not the procedures. iPhoto is being use by millions and millions of users - it works - if it does what you want then use it - if it does not then do not - and at anytime in the future you can change your mind and move to a different program - either that program will read the iPhoto library (aperture for example) or you can just export your photos and use them with the new program

  • How to put pictures in a table

    I am seeking how to store pictures in a table

    Look into BLOB datatypes. They allow the storage of large binary objects (like pics). If you have the 8i Web Dev book there is a great example of dealing with images stored in a table.

  • Store Pictures in Oracle databases

    Please anybody can tell about that, how to store pictures or images in oracle database 9i.

    To store pictures in your database you need a table with a BLOB column and one application in oracle forms or java to load them. This code is a web servlet to display photos in a web page:
    package kas.web.interfases.metrics;
    * GetFoto.java
    import java.io.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import javax.servlet.ServletException;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver;
    public class GetFoto extends HttpServlet {
    public GetFoto() {
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws IOException, ServletException {
    doPost(request, response);
    public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws IOException, ServletException
    {   System.out.println("test");
    try {
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new OracleDriver());
    catch(Exception exception) { }
    try {
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@172.21.0.96:1521:PRESIDEN", "kas", "kas");
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    if(conn != null) {
    String cod = request.getParameter("cod");
    if(cod == null)
    cod = "2";
    String sql = "SELECT emf_foto1 FROM pla_emf_empfoto WHERE emf_codemp=" + cod;
    if(!cod.equals("")) {
    ResultSet rset = stmt.executeQuery(sql);
    try {
    if(rset.next()) {   ////System.out.println("test2");
    Blob ablob = rset.getBlob("emf_foto1");
    response.setContentType("image/gif");
    OutputStream out = response.getOutputStream();
    long bloblen = ablob.length();
    int buffersize = (int)bloblen;
    int bytesRead = 0;
    byte b[] = new byte[buffersize];
    InputStream is = ablob.getBinaryStream();
    while((bytesRead = is.read(b)) != -1)
    out.write(b, 0, bytesRead);
    is.close();
    response.flushBuffer();
    finally {
    rset.close();
    conn.close();

  • Help!  Can't figure out how to store the same photo in different events

    I know that this is just a user error problem, but I can't figure out how to store multiple versions of the same photo in different events. For example, I use Aperture as my main photo library, so I have a big folder set-up by year and then by events within those years to organize and maintain my library. I'm currently working on a project where I would like to pull out certain pictures for other uses. I tried creating new events and then moving the pictures to those events (like I would have in iPhoto) expecting for a new version of the picture to be deposited in the new event. That didn't work - it moved the picture out of my "main library" folder and as far as I can see it now only exists in the new event. Next, I tried creating "new versions" of the pictures I wanted to move and then just selecting those and moving them. In one folder I selected three photos, clicked "New Versions", then in the browser display I could see two of each picture (for a total of six), I selected ONE of each photo and moved those three to the new event. At which point all six disappear from the "main library" and end up in my new event. I don't understand why that happens. Currently the only way I've been able to do what I need to do is by using the flag field, but as far as I can tell there is only one of those - it's on or off that is really not serving my purpose. What do I need to do???

    Like Jim said, you most likely want Albums for what you describe. Albums simply consist of "pointers" to a single compilation of image data. Albums can be created and deleted at will, because they are just pointers; an important concept.
    Also learn to use Keywords - and unlearn "folder" organization, which is not the way digital asset management works. The power of Albums and Keywords is huge once we lose the film-think of folders organization.

    Please tell how to store jpeg images in SQL Server using NI Database Connectivity Toolset.

    http://www.w3schools.com/sql/sql_datatypes.asp
    You setup a field as BLOB and store the binary of the picture there. Depending on the database it can be called differently as you can see in the link, in SQL server there's even a Image datatype.

  • How to recover pictures I deleted from my hard drive and backed up with TM

    Hello all,
    2 months ago, using the TM for the first time, I decided to delete all my pictures from my MacBook Pro as they were saved with TM.
    Then, when I went to look for them in TM, they were gone as well.
    Anyway, I do hope, to recover them all?
    and.... how to store them so that they don't take so much space on my MacBook Pro?
    Many thanks in anticipation, I feel so useless with this all!

    TM does not retain files that have been deleted from the hard drive for more than one week. During the weekly consolidation files removed from the hard drive are then removed from the TM backup.
    If you are trying to use TM like a regular backup storage utility, then you've misunderstood how TM works. See the following explanation:
    About TM "Backup Drive is Full" Alert
    TM only deletes older files if they have been deleted from the source and when TM needs space on the backup drive for a new incremental backup. Data are deleted to make space for a new backup, but if TM is unable to delete enough files to free up space for the new backup, then you will get a disk full error. Normal thinning during a backup occurs during TM's periodic weekly and monthly consolidation backups. Note, that on a Time Capsule the sparsebundle grows in size as needed, but doesn't shrink. Thus, from the user's view of the TC it appears that no space has been freed, although there may be space in the sparsebundle.
    Once TM has found it cannot free up enough space for a new backup it reports the disk is full. You can either erase the backup drive and start your backups anew or replace the drive with a larger drive.

  • How to store the rich formated text and screendumps in Oracle database

    Hi,
    I will create an FAQ management system. Users can log into the system, search and view the FAQ and answers. To be intractive, the users can also create new FAQ and add the comments on FAQ answers.
    The FAQ answers have rich formated text and the screendumps in the mid part of the answer. It should be presented in one page during user read/update the answers. How can I store the FAQ answer to Oracle database?
    Best regards,
    Ning

    I used blob to store pictures.
    The FAQ answer is the combination item of formated text and pictures. Can I use it to store?
    If I decided to use blob, how can I present the FAQ answers to the web. How can I edit the answer on the web?
    Thank you very much!

  • How to store data in ipad from computer

    please explain me how to store data (music video & pictures) in  ipad from any personal computer...kindly explain me in simple steps...

    The iPad can only sync with one computer.  To do this you need to have iTunes installed on the computer and have it associated with your Apple ID.  you can then use iTunes to transfer music, movies and pictures from that computer, and that computer only.
    iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386
    If you need to get files from other computers, you would need a 3rd party App that can handle the formats you wish to transfer, and possibly transfer them either through iTunes file sharing or Wifi transfer depending on what the App supports.

  • Plz Help! How to Store digital certificate on to java card?

    We are working on java cards.......
    But i don't know how to store digital certificate on to java card?
    Any "step-by-step procedure" to follow after getting the certificate will be appriciated.....
    Plz any relative information if u have do reply...............
    Its urgent..............
    Thanks in advance..........

    I'm not understanding the confusion. Instead of storing a picture you are storing a certificate. Treat it as a blob of data. You will send data, approx 250 bytes in length, then send the next blob beginning from previous offset, etc. On the card, you store data into a large byte array beginning at the offsets. Read the picture sample again.
    You would generate the key pair using the KeyPair class. Send that public key to the CA and store the cert returned from the CA.
    If you are attempting PKCS#15, I wouldn't go that route until you understand Java Cards and the PKCS specification.

  • How to upload pictures from my macbook to IPad mini?

    I cant figure out how to put pictures from my Macbook to my IPad. I have the newest version of ITunes, which seems to not have pictues anymore. So I'm trying to do it through IPhoto, but still can't get it to work. Any ideas?

    Connect the iPad Mini to the MacBook. In the upper right corner of itunes, you'll see a button for iPad next to the button for Store. Click on iPad. You'll now see an image of your iPad, and some info about it. The tabs across the top, click on Photos. From here, put a check mark next to 'Sync Photos' and select iPhoto from the dropdown list. The box underneath will light up, allowing you to choose whether you want to sync all photos, or selected albums. Select what you want to sync, then click apply.
