How to supply String[] Parameter to actionMethod defined in PageDef.xml

I use JDev EA
in AMImpl ,the method like,
public void test(String arg1,String[] arg2) {
System.out.print("ok");
In PageDef.xml ,the actionMethod like ,
<methodAction id="test"
InstanceName="BaseManageAppModuleDataControl.dataProvider"
DataControl="BaseManageAppModuleDataControl"
MethodName="test" RequiresUpdateModel="true"
Action="999">
<NamedData NDName="arg1" NDType="java.lang.String"/>
<NamedData NDName="arg2" NDType="java.lang.String[]"/>
</methodAction>
When i put the parameters to the actionMethod like the following,
String[] attrNameArr = {"FabricId","CustomerId","CompanyId","Weight","WeightUnit","YarnLang","YarnLat"};
JUCtrlActionBinding action = (JUCtrlActionBinding)panelBinding.findControlBinding("test");
ArrayList arg1 = new ArrayList();
arg1.add("BaseTabCustomerFabricView1");
arg1.add(attrNameArr); action.setParams(arg1);
action.doIt();
it throws Exception .

    Hi All,
    I m using forms6i, I have receive one string parameter from some other Form. I want to check this parameter value in my subprograms where clause (Particularly IN clause).
    For Example the parameter name : P_PARA1 and its value 'AA','BB','CC'

    from <tab name>
    wehre ....
    and column_name in(:parameter.para1)*
    plz help me hw can i handle this situation.

    I Did't get any error value, but the in where clause :parameter value added '' quotes at runtime.
    For example
    declare

    select ...
    from ...
    where <columnname> IN (p_p1);
    begin
    open C1(:PARAMETER.P_para1);
    now i have checked the selection query while running form in SQL Monitor, below like that
    select ..
    from ...
    where <columnname> IN ('''AA'','''BB'');
    hw its added the extra ' quote..

    I am trying to execute a query within a PreparedStatement although I can't figure out how to supply the parameter to the PreparedStatement. The query looks like:
    DELETE FROM MyTable WHERE MyColumn IN (?);
    I am now looking for a way to supply a list of IDs as the parameter for the ?. What I have is an array of int but I can't figure out how to make it through.

    MYSQL 4 supports stored procedures.
    http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/stored-procedures.html
    Did you read that link? The following is one of the very first lines....
    Stored procedures and functions are a new feature in MySQL version 5.0
    And doing a little research one determines that 5.0 is still in beta.
    Of course it helps to have a little history as well, but either one has to visit the site over a period of time or really dig in. If one does one learns that 5.0 has been in beta for at least three years and perhaps longer.

  • Dynamic cell associated value as query string parameter in custom hyperlink property of KPI of scorecard in PPS SP2013

    Can we pass dynamic cell associated value [of scorecard] as query string parameter in custom hyperlink property of KPI of scorecard in PPS SP2013 , so that we can pass those values to another page
    How to get those cell associated values and set these dynamic value as query string parameter in custom hyperlink property of KPI of scorecard in performance point services in sharepoint 2013

     I could somehow link to the table name, but that can be changed...  Any ideas?
    Not sure if this will help or not but maybe a little from several areas might point you in the right direction.
    If you are concerned about users changing the table name then you can define a name to reference the table and then if the user changes the table name then the Refers to automatically changes to the new table reference but your defined name remains the same.
    However, if users want to break a system even when you think you have it bullet proof the users come along with armour piercing bullets.
    Example:
    Insert a table (say Table1)
    Go to Define a name and insert a name of choice (eg.  ForMyTab1)
    Then click the icon at the right of the Refers to field and select the entire table including the column headers and it will automatically insert something like the following in the Refers to field.
    =Table1[#All]
    Now if a user changes the table name then Table1 will also automatically change.
    Example code to to reference the table in VBA.
    Sub Test()
        Dim wsSht1 As Worksheet
        Dim lstObj1 As ListObject
        Set wsSht1 = Worksheets("Sheet1")
        Set lstObj1 = wsSht1.ListObjects(Range("ForMyTab1").ListObject.Name)
        MsgBox lstObj1.Name
    End Sub

  • Dealing with an empty string parameter

    I'd think this should be simple but is driving me nuts. I have a string parameter (lets call it Foo) that is being passed from my C# application to a CR subreport. For this parameter field I have a formula associated with "Display String" similar to this:
    if (IsNull({?Foo}) or (length({?Foo}) = 0)) then
        "Value is empty"
    else
        "Value is " + {?Foo}
    I can never get the "Value is empty" line to appear! I've tried lots of suggestions:
    1. trim and check result equal to '' (two single quotes)
    2. test if equal to "".
    3. Adding false to Suppress.
    It appears that if this parameter is the empty string CR simply does nothing with my formulas and the entire parameter field is skipped.
    If I pass "null" (or any other special string) instead of "" from my C# code and then change the above test to check for that value as shown below things work properly.
            if (IsNull({?Foo}) or ({?Foo} = "null") then
    However I really don't like testing for a special string as there is the remote possibility that it could be the actual value of the parameter.
    Any help most appreciated.
    Dick

    Not surprised and willing to bet there will be a simple answer to this!
    There is something most odd happening when the string value is empty.
    Let me answer your questions.
    1 - How are you setting your parameter value?
    Since I want to be able to pass parameters to the base report as well as its subreports I'm using this method:
            protected void setParameter(string parameterName, object value)
                ParameterFields fields = report.ParameterFields;
                for (int i = 0; i < fields.Count; i++)
                    if (fields<i>.Name.Equals(parameterName))
                        string reportName = fields<i>.ReportName;
                        if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(reportName))
                        {   // give to base report
                            report.SetParameterValue(parameterName, value);
                        else
                        {   // give to subreport
                            report.SetParameterValue(parameterName, value, reportName);
    2 - What OS and service pack are you on?
    Windows XP, SP 3. All updates from MS installed.
    My development environment is either of these two:
    a. VS 2008. Version 9.0.30729.1 SP. ,NET Framework 3.5 SP1
    b. VS 2010 Version 4.0.30319
    3 - What platform are you targeting?
    For now just running on my XP PC but have tested our app on XP, Win7, and Vista. 32 and 64-bit version of each.
    4 - Is this a win or web form application? Win app
    5 - What is the version of your CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine?
    Version: 12.2.0.290, Product Type: Full
    6 - What is the version of crpe32.dll do you have on your machine?
    I only have one instance of this file in this directory:
         C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86
    7 - Did you have one of our betas on this machine? No
    Edited by: dcowan on Dec 7, 2010 2:10 AM
    I needed to finish this so I'm closing it.
    In my C# code I placed the following:
                        if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(value))
                            value = "!_Empty_!";
    and in the CR formula I used:
           (IsNull({?CoBrandName}) or ({?CoBrandName} = "!_Empty_!"))
    Everything is now working just as I want. Not an ideal solution but I gave up.

  • How to get a parameter without name in JSP?

    hi everyone, My question is how to get a parameter without name in JSP? I have two pages, 1.html and 2.jsp.
    in 1.html, I embeds some Javascript codes in HTML contents like below ( changed < to ( , > to )):
    function toSubWin( obj )
    window.open('test.jsp?'+obj.firstChild.toString(),'sw');
    (a onClick='toSubWin(this)'style="background:green")focus(/a)
    How can I get the parameter in 2.jsp?
    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

    Does obj.firstChild.toString() evaluate to a "name=value" type of String ?
    Or better what does obj.firstChild.toString(),'sw' evaluate to ? It has to end up in a name=value format, else its just gibberish appended to the url.
    In the jsp, you have to obviously know the name to get the parameter. There's a getParameterNames() method which returns you a Collection of parameter names as Strings, you could probably use that to retrieve the param values.
    Then there's a getParameterMap() method which returns an immutable Map containing parameter names as keys and parameter values as map values. The keys in the parameter map are of type String. The values in the parameter map are of type String array.
    However to what ends you employ them in a program which doesnt know its inputs is a different story.
    cheers,
    ram.

  • How to pass a parameter in order to populate a table.

    I'm trying to create a page using ADF with JSF in JDeveloper 10.1.3 on Linux.
    I have a table binded to a view object with ExecuteWithParam operation. When the page opens the first time, the table should be empty. I need to populate the table dynamically by setting the parameter and executing the query. What's wrong with this code:
    ViewObject vo = am.findViewObject("ReportName");
    Long param = new Long(11);
    1.
    vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam("RepType", param);
    vo.executeQuery();
    No errors but nothing happened. Table is still empty.
    or

    vo.setWhereClauseParam(0,param);
    vo.executeQuery();

    Hi,
    are you wanting to supress the query until the search parameters are entered?
    How about supplying a default value for your bind parameter. Something you know wont be in your table like "NO RESULTS"
    You can do this in the properties of your bind variable or manually in by overriding the create method of your view object.
    Btw, I believe the vo.setWhereClauseParam is not zero based. I think the first bind variable starts with 1.

    Take a look at set_custom_property:
    public static final ID SETTEXT = ID.registerProperty("SETTEXT");
    public boolean setProperty(ID pid, Object value)
        if (pid == SETTEXT)
    String text = value.toString();
    and in forms
    set_custom_property('beans.bean_item', 1, 'SETTEXT', 'some text');

    Since this is a synchronous interface, where source is a soap(proxy) call and target is JDBC in the first mapping both of them are request scenarios.
    Source Structure:
    RootNode
        Request             1...unbounded
           No_of_Days   1.1 String
    Target Structure:
    RootNode
       Statement

  • How to pass the parameter in the where clause of the select statement

    Hi All,
    Iam getting one of the value from the Input otd and using this value i need to query one of the tables in oracle database and selected the table using the oracle eway otd like shown below .
    otdRISKBLOCK_1.getRISKBLOCK().select() .
    where clause in side the select takes a string parameter as Iam getting the string parameter from the input otd and passing this to where clause by creating a string literal after deployment it is giving an error saying "ORA-00920: invalid relational operator".
    can any one throw some input on this .
    Thanks in Advance
    Srikanth

    You will see this error if the search condition was entered with an invalid or missing relational operator.
    You need to include a valid relational operator such as
      =, !=, ^=, <>, >, <, >=, <=, ALL, ANY, [NOT] BETWEEN, EXISTS, [NOT] IN, IS [NOT] NULL, or [NOT] LIKE in the condition. in the sql statement.
    Can you throw some more light on how are you designing your project?
