How to supress zero values in a union report in obiee11g?

I have a union report using two subject areas in obiee 11g.
I have added the price column from the first sector area and dummy column from the second sector area.
I have added the parity column from the second sector area and dummy column from the first sector area.
Then i added result column to divide them.
I need to calculate the avarage for each column, but because of the dummy columns that return zero, the calculation is wrong.

Hi,
Jsut open your query designer and select the query in which you put the changes.
now on top there will be an icon for query properites just select that and on right hand side panel select the tab rows/column
and in that there will be an option supress zeros select active all values =0
and then effect on rows.

How to suppress zero values in EVDRE Report?

Hello.
In my EVDRE Report I need zero values to be suppressed.
But SAP BPC NW 7.0 Help says that
The system does not suppress rows or columns returning a zero (where a zero amount is stored in the database)
So how can I suppress zero values?
P.S. In SAP BPC 7.0 for Microsoft platform "Suppress" parameter suppresses both zero and NULL values just like I need.

I have a Union report ,Rep1 union Rep 2,with a cloumn A in rep1 and a dummy column in place of column A in rep 2.
I want to restrict the records where A= 0 in the union report.

hi,
In report1 let the column be as it is ,why are you changing the f(x) to case statement.Did you check is data there in that column of report1.
In the union report make tat dummy column as 0 or 1 accordingly as per your requirement.So it would retrieve all the values of column of report1.
Check the join conditions established and play with the joins like give a full outer join and check if the data is coming including 0's if so then you can pply filter on that column saying column not equal to 0,so the remaining values gets populated.

Import Package Supress zero Values

Hi there,
I'm currently doing a Import from a txt file to BPC , but when I executed the Import Package, all the accounts that have a zero value are suppressed when the data is imported to the FACT2<appname>.
Is there any way to avoid the import package from doing that ?

Hi Alan,
As already specified, It will not import the 0 value if the record is a new record completely.
The records with 0 values can be considered in a different way. Whenever, it encounters a record with 0 value, it will first search in the 3 fact tables, if the same record is already present or not. If the same record is already available, lets say with the value of 200. Then, it will post only the delta value, that is -200. If the same record is not present earlier, then it will neglect the record.

Then you have to maintain info record for material and vendor in that inforecord you have to maintain value then at the time of sheduling agreement sys will not ask the value it will be taken from info record automatically..

In Crystal Reports, to prevent the ability to drill down into a subreport when published on the Web, add a text object that is filled with blank spaces, created by pressing the 'Space Bar' and 'Enter' for line returns, to eclipse the subreport.
This workaround is applicable only to subreports that does not grow in size. For example, subreports that display only a chart or graph.
Steps to Add a Text Object over a Subreport
1. In the Crystal Reports Designer of the main report, insert a text object over the subreport.
2. Resize the text object to be the same size or a little larger than the subreport object on the main report.
3. Fill the text object with blank spaces created by pressing the 'Space Bar' and 'Enter'. This is necessary because resizing a text object without
the blank spaces will not maintain its size when it has been published on the Web.

NOTE:
You can format the text object with a hyperlink to another report, another file or a URL.
====================
Now, when the Crystal report is previewed on the Web, the text object that fully eclipses the subreport will prevent the ability to drill down into it.

How to supress Zero in NUMC data type which contains some values as Char.

Hello Friends,
Some custom fields have been added in table BUT000 ,
out of which one field has data type as NUMC..
When i see some of the entries in the that field, it has values like '0000000000000000ENT'.
I want to supress Leading zeros of that.
i tried using
1 ) FM CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT &
          CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT .
2 ) Also tried coding like this:
data:var1 type ZBU_00LV36AT,           "this field has data type NUMC of length 40
       var2(40) type N.
var1 ='00000000ENTRY'.
VAR2 = VAR1.
SHIFT VAR2 LEFT DELETING LEADING '0'.
Nothing works ...gives output as blank.
Is there any solution for it....

How to make zero value deliveries not relevant for billing

Hi,
I have a requirement to not print invoices that have zero as their net value. Right now there is a sales order line category that can have amount on it sometimes and sometimes not. When the amount is 0, is there a way make it not due for billing?
In Item Categories Maintenace I set the Billing Relevant to H:
"H: Delivery-related billing - no zero quantities
You can use this category to avoid items with a value of zero being included in the billing document."
Testing it still includes the items with 0 value for this item category in VF04 - billing due list and creates an invoice for it.

we will have the copy control routines in the copy control requirements between delivery and billing, check out the transaction VOFM , for example you can have a new copy control routine no 901 in VOFM. via which SAP creates a new program LV60A901 and you can have your code there. Get in touch with your programmer he/she should be knowing how to create this and how to include this in the main program..

How to display Zero values in the chart

In BO design studio 1.3 we are using bar chart and line chart for one of the dashboard. we have enabled the data labels and data is also displaying in the chart, but for certain criteria the data is itself zero in the database. In such scenario chart is not showing zero as the data label and it is simply blank. Is there any way to display the values even though it is zero?

How to Display "Zero Value" or "No Data" Items in a Chart

Hello All,
I need to create a chart that displays the number of jobs per hour over a 24 hour period. I can determine the hour the job was created and I have no trouble making a chart with a count of jobs per hour. The problem is that I also want to display the hours that have no jobs on the chart. I am currently converting all hour data to the text format "00:00". For example, 9:35am would display as 09:00 (as would all jobs between 9:00am and 10:00am) and this is the value that I want displayed under each bar on the chart (x axis).
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I was hoping to avoid adding a table to the DB with each hour. I thought there might be a tricky way using arrays that I would be able to accomplish the report. I have done a test using Excel and I can get the results that I wanted, so I will now probably add the table to the DB.

Hi,
A trigger is designed to be a part of a transaction, not it's end.
It is like following these steps (not really accurate, but should give an idea):
1. programA issues INSERT statement on tableA
2. 'control' goes over to the database
3. constraint checks happen
4. the associated triggers on tableA do their work (e.g. fetching a sequence value for a primary key)
5. 'control' goes back to programA
6. programA decides if a commit (no error occurred) or a rollback (error case) has to be issued.

How to supress the single Entries in the report?

I have a report of "Customer unpaid Cheques". This report displays Customer wise.
For eg. Let say Customer 1234 cheques have been unpaid and returned many times. Some customers have single time retrns.
In a report I want to filter the Customers with Single Entry.
Report is like ths.
Cust No: Ret.Doc: Cheque No: Amount:
1234 7999 3331 100
1234 8999 3332 100
1234 9999 3333 100
1235 7777 4444 200
Customer 1234 has been returned 3 times where as Customer 1235 is ed one time.
I want a report which displays the customers with more than one returns. The report should be like this. How can I do this..
1234 7999 3331 100
1234 8999 3332 100
1234 9999 3333 100

HI Sudhakar,
It's bit complex but will work.
Just create a new formuale with this option F= SUMCT(Amount)( This is basiclly the "result" option you get when you try to create a formlae.
Now make a calculate key figure with the logic CKF=( Amount - F)
This will give you basically this kind of difference
F CKF
1234 7999 3331 100 300 -200
1234 8999 3332 100 300 -200
1234 9999 3333 100 300 -200
1235 7777 4444 200 200 0
Now put a condition on the report level that show only those rows where the CKF!=0
IT will show only those value which have moer then one rows.
Also you can hide these additional columns depending upon your need.

Hi Experts,
I have scenario where I dont want to include the values in the output of report.
If you observe above there are some un assigned cost elements and its the report output. I dont want these to be in the report.
Please suggest me.

I tried to exclude the values, but i dont find any chance to exclude them
If i try the same from characteristic restriction, its allowing me to exclude.
Is there any other possibility to restrict these? Please suggest
