How to test Particulare Communication Channel is active or not in UDF?

Hi,
Can any body suggest me how to code in UDF particulare Communication Channel is active or not. If it is inactive then I have to thow exception else ok.

Ok now I get your requirement.
you cant achieve this - how one receiver channel can put in two location if you dont have a dynamic configuration defined i.e Adapter specific attributes.
easy way - involve IR mapping
else
have a adapter module to define your dynamic configuration.

How to test the communication stability and calculate ber using the CVI ?

Our chief engineer gave me a task yeasterday.He asked me to do software testing and calculate bit error rate that we would know our communication stability.
However,I have never touched this aspect of knowledge. I have known a bit about CVI and I want to write bit error rate code using CVI.Thus,I could test the communication stability.
But I don't know how to analyse and judge the receiving codes whether they are right or wrong.
We use Modbus communication protocol and receive data via serial port,so I want to save all datas and record the total datas number ,marking as M.
then,save the eligible datas and record the mumber marking as N. So, bit error rate is (M-N)/M .
Whether this is feasible ? Or you have any good idea. Thank you very much.

Hi xiepei,
since you are using modbus, a simple error checking is implicit in the protocol and is the comparison between returned checksum and the calculated one on the received message: checksum errors, if any, are an effect of communications errors (you should have at least 2 bits changed and on particular patterns to have the checksum be calculated correctly!). You won't be able to calculate BER on them, but you can calculate PER (Packet Error Rate).
Another flag for communication errors, on the other direction, is to intercept error messages from the device: if it fully implements modbus protocol, it should return some warning in case of error (I seem to remember that in some cases it returns the reveived message with some error bits added: please check in modbus documentation).

In my scenario - Sending system will send one country field in the message ,I have one receiver system which has different folders for different countries.
I have created separate communication channels for separate countries.
Now at runtime based on the country field in sender message I need use the channel respective to that country.
How should i achieve this?

Say you have 3 countries - I would suggest:
1) Create 3 services - each for one country
2) Create 1 CC's under each of these services
3) In your Receiver Determination ->Configured Receivers -> Condition field --- put in the condition (by choosing the field from the input that has the country code)
4) Against each condition, choose the respective service for that country
5) Complete the Interface Determination - (by calling the same mapping in all three Interface Determination)
6) Complete the Receiver Agreement by choosing the appropriate CC created as in Step 2)
1) and 2) are basically for ease of use. If you need to identify the Service or CC - this would be user-friendly.
If you dont want to create 3 different services - you can still not do Step 1 and continue from Step 2.

As per my Scenario whenever a text file stored in Application server of the R/3 system. it should be sent as a attchment with a mail.so i set a sender communication channel with file adapter in sender R/3 system . i dont know which business system should i refer for my receiver communication channel.because my receiver end is a mail server. should i create any third party business system for this one?
can anyone suggest me to define a receiver comm channel in a right manner?

How the campaign with communication channel telephone picks the mobile No.?

I created a marketing campaign with communication channel telephone the cal l list is only generated for the telephone number but I want it to pick the mobile phone number and use it. If I put the mobile number only it gives me error that the communication is missing

Please try this:
Assign the target group again. Assign the already prepared target group to your campaign. Assign the Channel: Telephone (with activity creation). Release and Execute the campaign on the Assignment Block Campaign Details. Execute the campaign for the target group. Schedule the batch job to be executed immediately.
Please tell me if it doesn´t work.

Like Praveen Kumar said, I dont think there is an out of the box solution for this. But if you want to stop the communication channel, you could do it using a BPM.This solution is just something that came to my mind. It would be resource intensive to implement this. But here goes...
Try to make the call to the Receiver System a synchronous call and have an exception branch in the block which has the synchronous step type. So if the Receiver System is down you would get an error in the Sync Step Type and it would go to the exception branch.Try to make a HTTP call from BPM to stop the communication channel. The URL for the HTTP call could be what Matias Denker suggested. This would stop the communication channel. This solution might however have two disadvantage that i foresee.
1) It might stop the communication channel not only for system down but for any kind of synchronous error.
2) Starting the communication channel has to again be a whole different process.

you can try this:
Go to Communication Channel monitoring in Runtime Workbench.
Select all file adapters and check cluster node for each Channel. If the file is picked by the channel you will see processing details or errors related to channel here.
Since as you say the message is not seen in sxmb_moni then the communicaition channel would be red. Files that are picked from directories but not visible in sxmb_moni are usually in error at channel level.

Communication Channel in SXI_CACHE but not in RWB

Hi Gurus,
Created a simple file to file scenario. While testing the scenario, i've got the following error while looking at the SXMB_MONI.
"com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: ConfigException in XI protocol handler. Failed to get a receiver channel from the agreement for the given message. Root cause: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPALookupException: Channel object with Id Channel:ca8f9060afd235e7b77958ffc1bb2096 not available in CPA Cache"
Did an initial investigation and found that the communication channel exist in SXI_CACHE. Proceed to do a Complete Cache Refresh. However, I still get the same error.
Went to RWB to check on the Communication Channel under Adapter Tab and realised that the Communcation Channel created cannot be found in the list. I suspect that might be causing the error and Im really puzzled by the mis-match between SXI_CACHE and RWB. Is there a way to refresh the list of Communcation Channels in RWB.

In blrhpqe2 system when we try to create the queue it gives end-of-communication error. It seems there some problem with the dbms_aqadmn. Can you please check-up and let know your feedback.

How to test whether XI is sending file or not?

My scenario is like this:File(File sender Adapter)->XI->(HTTP receiver adapter)J2EE appl.
I placed the xml file in D:\somedir on my PC. It is picking up the file, after picking it should post the same xml file to my j2ee appl. My servlet receives the xml file and display it on browser. But nothing is displayed. How to test whether XI is sending XML file to J2EE appl or not? All helpful answers are highly appreciated.
