Hp 1102

hp 1102w printer - I cannot change the paper size from the A4 default on the Printer Properties - General Tab.  Even when I select letter size for the actual document print it only prints as if it were A4, cutting off part of the info.  All the other places I can change it I have, but this is apparently overriding everything else.
Otherwise I've been really happy with printer, but this is annoying............
Please help?

Hi @hppm ,
I see that you are having issues changing the paper size to A4 from the General tab. I would be happy to help you.
Depending on which application you are printing from, the following steps might resolve this issue.
Check the print setting which allows for RESCALING A4 to fit on letter size to see if this is active.   To deactivate it, in an open document go to File, then Options, then Advanced, then scroll down about halfway and uncheck the box on "Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11 paper size".
You may have to change the location settings on the computer for the paper default settings to be recognized.
Go to start, control panel, Region and Language.
Select the Location tab, click on the drop down and select United States.
Then click on the Formats tab and click on the drop down and select English (United States).
Restart the computer.
From the application you are printing from, go to File, Page Setup and select the proper paper size also.
Then from the program you are trying to print from, click File and then click Print.
The Print dialog box opens.
Select your printer, right click Properties or Printer Properties .
Click the Paper/Quality tab.
From the Media or Type click the drop down, select the paper type that matches the paper loaded in the input tray and the desired print quality, Paper size, select the proper size of paper and click OK.
Try and print again.

  • SAP Client to the SAP Server: internal Error (-1102)[Message 131-183]

    Hi,
    We are using Windows 2008 Server R2, SQL 2008 Standard, SAP B1 8.81 PL08.
When we trying to connect SAP Client to the SAP Server. There has internal Error (-1102) occurred. We can view the database on client, but we always get the same error message after enter the User ID and Password. We have checked the native client and it is installed and also opened the following ports: 1433, 30000, 30001. We have tried to open all of firewall, but itu2019s no use.
When I set a computer in to the engine room and set the network connection, this one can connect SAP Client to the SAP Server.
But when client connect to server by VPN, the IP address will not in the same section. Then We tried to set the IP address has the same network section with the server, but it's still disable.
I set a computer for SAP Server without firewall, complex network, virtual IP and no router in my office. And use a SAP Client which is in different network domain to connect to SAP Server by internet, not VPN, but the SAP Client still canu2019t connect to SAP Server. I get the same internal Error (-1102).
It can not only ping to SAP Server IP, but telnet to the port 1433, 30000, 30001, 445.
When I use a pc with server tools, it can connect to the SAP Server by the localhost license. But if I use a computer only install client and assign the server license. The latter one always got the error.
How could we solve this problem? Is there has another setting I am missing which might be blocking the connection?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
We are using VPN and using Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop Conneciton.
The idea here is VPN will connect you to the network and when you are connected to the network
dont use the direct LAN IP connection use the Terminal Licensing to connect.
Again both are needed VPN and Terminal Licensing. VPN for the connection and if successfully connected
use or connect from Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop connections.
    Thanks.

  • How can I set the gain on a SCXI-1102 module without having my computer lock-up for 3 seconds?

Forgive my insolence, but did it never occur to anyone that spinning in a hard loop while polling a status register to set a gain for 3 seconds isnt a great idea?
I have a number of SCXI-1102 modules to set the gains on, and it takes several seconds for each. Reading the documentation on the subject indicates that the SCXI_Set_Gain call polls a status register waiting for the gain to settle before returning and it doesnt even yield while doing so.
Are there any other ways I can set the gain? Is there a way that doesn't poll the register that returns in a reasonable amount of time?
AFAICT, there's no good reason to only allow one module to be s
etting its gain at a time. An asynchronous call it really needed - one that makes it the API programmer's responsibility to check the status of the register, or one that spawns a thread and sleeps between polls, and signals an event or invokes a callback or some-such-thing. Or you could even just sleep for three seconds after setting all the gains, this way the delay would be 3 seconds total not 3 seconds for each gain set.

This NI-DAQ function call directly accesses the nidaq32.dll. While the nidaq32.dll is multithread safe, it is not a multithreaded DLL. This is also described in the KnowledgeBase entry 1V9DSHDM: "Can NI-DAQ Handle Different Operations at the Same Time? Is It a Multi-threaded DLL?"
You are correct that the SCXI_Set_Gain function is not asynchronous. Thus, you do have to wait till that function returns before calling the next one. LabVIEW has found a way around this. So, you can actually use the LabVIEW functions to set the gain on these modules without having to wait as you do with SCXI_Set_Gain.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1102 Desktop PC Windows 8 64 bit unable to shut down

I have an  HP Pavilion p7-1102 Desktop PC, which I purchased with Windows 7. After upgrading to Windows 8, the computer will no longer shut down under any circumstances, it seems. I am currently running Windows 8 64-bit, and previously I was running Windows 7 64-bit. I did not do a clean install, I upgraded to Windows 8 using an upgrade disc. Here's what I've tried so far to try and get the computer to shut down:
"Shut Down" in the charms menu
    "Restart" in the charms menu
Holding shift and pressing "Shut Down" in the charms menu
Holding shift and pressing "Restart" in the charms menu
    Using command prompt "shutdown /s /t 00"
Disabling hybrid startup and trying all of these again
None of this has caused the computer to shut down at all. I've also gotten no error messages, the computer simply does nothing whenever I try to shut it down. All I can get the computer to do is hibernate. Everywhere I've searched, I've seen these options and they haven't helped me get my computer to shut down. There is nothing else wrong with my PC, I keep up with Windows updates, have anti-virus protection, and have had no other problems with Windows 8. This problem began happening immediately after I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.
Does anyone know of any other methods that might help the computer shut down? I'm at a loss!

    Hi,
If you have tried all fast boot and hybrid boot options then try this:
Make sure to create a restore point before performing this step...
Press Win+R and type Regedit => Click OK to open the registry editor
Go to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager
Once opened, on the right side , check for "BootExecute" entry. Double-Click on it.
Delete all of its "Value Data" part and write the following into it:
autocheck autochk * and press OK.
Now, "RESTART" (Do Not Click SHUTDOWN) your computer
After it restarts, press SHUTDOWN button and check if it works..
    Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

  • HP Laserjet 1102 Keeps goin offline

Hi There - our hp laseret 1102 printer keeps going offline.  It happens completely randomly, sometimes it might not happen for days other times it happens every day.  I have checked the usb settings in device manager and there is no option to put them into sleep mode so this is not the problem.  There is a setting in printer properties --> device settings - disable the printer when it has not been used after 5mins or more, but I have unchecked this also.
Can anyone suggest anything else?  We are using xp sp2...
    Thanks

I came up with a solution, after all these months of frustration.
The Laserjet had been connected to the iMac via a USB hub -- one of those devices that increases the number of USB ports. It is a powered variety that I have to connect to a power source.
Instead, when I connected the printer cable directly to the iMac, the problem of the printer going offline seems to have disappeared.
Trouble is the iMac has so few USB ports, what are we to do when we run out of ports, and we need one of these USB hubs, but they give trouble, such as the printer going offline.
Shouldn't Apple make their system more reliable?

  • My MacBook Core 2 Duo will not boot up.  In safe mode I see keychain problems and Mach 1102.

My MacBook Core 2 Duo will not boot up.  In safe mode I see keychain problems and Mach 1102 and it keeps circling through the same error.  Also the screen is so faint (pressing the F1 and F2 keys don't do anything).   I got this from a friend and he didn't have any of the original discs.  Any suggestions?  From what I've read it's a problem with a recent update.  I've never had a Mac so I'm trying to learn and fix it.

I just had an issue like this. I was able to boot up with an external firewire drive, although it was a lot of trouble. I think doing an option boot finally worked; holding down the option key, I eventually got to see the firewire drive was bootable, and booted from it.
I put the thing in verbose boot mode (command - v , I think; but please look it up. I have no Mac books at work to check). In verbose mode, you could see that the hard drive could not mount; the OS tried to do fsck, but it failed around 2/3 of the way, and the CPU was halted.
I was occasionally able to boot normally, but never in safe or single user modes; these do a disk test first, which invariably failed.
I could see from the system and console logs when I managed to get the firewire boot going that there were repeated errors trying to access drive s03, the internal SATA drive. The logs on the SATA drive showed huges numbers of errors. At a wild guess, for some reason a lot of sectors went bad all at once. There had been a some erratic behavior before, but I'd put that down to the single processor G5 problems. (these were non video related, just freezes).
Applecare wanted me to carry the huge thing into the local Apple store, but I persuaded them to just send me a replacment hard drive, which they did. The new one works perfectly.

  • 1102 with windows xp

Loading 1102 on old windows xp. Says printer is not on same network. I didn't load any network onto the printer. Cord is plugged in to pc and printer. Why won't it continue? I put in the WEP number which is on the router so maybe I did configure the printer. Self test page looks fine.

    Hi Grado,
I see that when you try to print you are getting a message "printer is not on same network". The printer is connected by a USB connection. With a few steps we should be able to resolve this issue.
Is this the P1102w printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Go to start, control panel, printers and faxes. Check to see how many icons you have for the printer.
Most likely you will have at least two, one for previous network printer and USB printer.
Right click the printer and left click properties, click on the Ports tab and see which one is checked.
If you see one for USB, check it and apply the settings and test the printer.
If you have another printer icon listed do the same thing.
Delete the extra driver icon, by right clicking the printer and left clicking delete.
If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the printer software. Disconnect the USB first.
    Uninstalling the Printer Software.

  • SCXI 1001, SCXI-1102 and SCXI-1303 not working correctly with DAQmx

I have recently upgraded from Labview 6.5 to Labview 8.2 and now my SCXI 1001 with a SCXI 1102 and SCXI 1303 terminal block no longer reads the correct voltage.  Using the old version of labview thermocouple measurements are correct at 0.5mV; however using the new version of labview and DAQmx the thermocouples are reading 5V.  Everything is installed correctly as it still works with the older version of Labview, is there something that needs to be reset or change so that teh SCXI will function properly with DAQmx?

    Hello ilabtech,
From my understanding you are using an SCXI 1001 chassis with an SCXI 1102 and 1303 terminal block to perform thermocouple measurements.  You are upgrading to LabVIEW 8.2 and DAQmx.  I am assuming you were using LabVIEW 6.1 since there isn’t a LabVIEW 6.5.  You mentioned that are able to get a correct reading of 0.5 mV with LabVIEW 6.1 but you see a rail of 5V with LabVIEW 8.2 and DAQmx.
My first suggestion is that you ensure that the SCXI is set at the appropriate range and for the correct thermocouple type.  You can also configure these settings in MAX as detailed on page 27 of the SCXI 1102 User Manual and Specifications Guide.
My second suggestion is for you to start off using an example program to see if you see the same error.  When you are in a LabVIEW 8.2 VI you can go to Help>>Find Examples to open the NI Example Finder.  You then choose Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Analog Measurements>>Temperature>> Cont. Acq Thermocouple Samples-Int CLK.vi.   This example program is supported by your hardware and is a good resource to use to troubleshoot.
If these suggestions aren't helpful please answer the following questions in your reply.
    1.        I would like to know what range you have set the SCXI 1102 to read.
    2.       What version of DAQmx are you using?  You can find the version my opening Measurement and Automation explorer (MAX), expanding the “Software “and clicking on NI-DAQmx.
    3.       What operating system are you using?
    4.  Does your Traditional DAQ program work in LabVIEW 8.2?

  • Help using SXCI-1102 with 1122

I have tried the advice from previous postings, but none have worked for me. I am using a SCXI-1000 chassis with a 1102 and 1122 module. I had the 1102 linked to my DAQ device and the 1122 to none. With this my temp readings were good (on the 1102) but pressure readings would drift negatively. So I cabled the 1122 to the device and the readings are stable but incorrect and my temp readings are wrong. Any ideas?

    Hello,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments.
You should have your DAQ board cabled to your SCXI-1102 as mentioned on page 10 of the SCXI Quick Start Guide.
The SCXI-1122 is a jumper programmed module. This means that you must set jumpers inside the module and then ensure that your software setting match the jumper settings (ie. gain and filter settings). The SCXI-1102 has software programmable gain settings and a fixed 2Hz filter.
I highly recommend that you read the SCXI-1122 User Manual. Then remove your SCXI-1122 from your chassis and open it up to make sure the internal
jumpers are set correctly. Then replace the module and make sure that the settings you have configured in software match your jumper settings.

  • Using third party Strain Amplfiers, feeding DC output to NI 1102 multiplexer to increase channel count, has anyone a vi. already?

As I see required events, measure un-strained millivolt value, file, after applying force, measure strained millivolt value, determine difference between strained and unstrained, convert delta millivolts to strain, and present.
Using NI strain gage boards is good, if we already had them. They are either 4 or 8 chan/board. Amplifiers we already have along with several NI 1102 multiplexed boards. These allow us 32 strains/board.
Calibration can be done by using external shunt with calculated equivalent strain, setting amplifier gain accordingly i.e., 1000ue=1.0 volts.
Can eventually arrive at working vi., but if someone has done this and
are willing to share, it would be of great benifit. Time is always of the essence.

    Hello,
Have you taken a look at the Convert Strain Gauge Reading VI that ships with LabVIEW? You could still use an amplifier and then divide the input voltage by the gain and then feed the output to this conversion VI. The VI can be found by searching you functions palette for the word strain.
Just let us know if this will help out!
