HP ePrint settings

Hello
I have an HP 8500 networked through the router. HP ePrint app worked fine before the update.  I could change printer settings and print using the network or mobile tablet Samsung Samsung S4, S3, S4 mini. After update I am not able to change printer settings and print are all to the default settings (color, normal etc ) even if I changed the new settings are not sent to the printer  . I want to install the previous version or in settings page if you can put an ok button so that the new settings can be stored and sent to the printer .

Hi hadryan,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you are unable to print from several Android devices to your Officejet 8500.
Are you experiencing the same issue after uninstalling and re-installing the HP ePrint app?  You will need to reactivate the app after re-installing it.

    4. no
When color pics are sent to printer email, pics printed in Black & White not color.  What settings need changing to enable color printing.  Pages sent from computer to printer have color.

You say pages instead of photos in the last line of your post. So are these pictures embedded in the document?  Or, are you sending photos and they are printing from the photo tray in black and white instead of color?  Photos should automatically print in color.  Now, If there are pictures embedded in they body or another document, there is a setting at eprintcenter.com that needs to be checked.
Once you have logged into your account at ePrint Center, go the gray button labeled "ePrint settings" and click on in it. Then go to the tap labeled Print options, then look at the section labeled "Color Mode" and see if greyscale is selected. If it is change that option back to color and then click  on save, then reattempt to print the ePrint.

  • New to ePrint and can't get it to work

I have set up my new printer and have set up the ePrint.  Everything appears to be working but nothing I email to the printer prints or shows up in the ePrint center.  I have verified twice the address is correct and the printer is connected to the web.

    Hi jlarrabee,
There is an option under ePrint Settings to set to "Allowed Senders Only".
If this is set only allowed senders or whitelisted email address can eprint to the printer.
Just to check, did you receive any email notification from the ePrintCenter on jobs received or invalid email address?
Have you tried sending email using web based emai client such as gmail, yahoo...etc?
Another option is to login to ePrintCenter, select ePrint Settings >> Advanced tab >> Reset email address.
This will generate a new email address.
Could you please try to eprint again to the new email address.
    Thank you.

  • How do I move printers to a different ePrintCenter account without losing my ePrint address?

You may find that you have a lot of printers on an ePrintCenter account and want to divide them across multiple accounts, but they are already setup on one account and want to keep the ePrint address.
There are some other scenarios where a printer may need to be moved from one account to another, but it does not seem it is well known.
This is from the Help section of www.eprintcenter.com.
Move a printer from one ePrintCenter account to another
Removing a printer from one ePrintCenter account allows you to add it to a different ePrintCenter account. To move a printer from one ePrintCenter account to another:
Click on the “X” on the printer's tab on your ePrintCenter account to remove the printer from that account. Note: Your printer's Print Apps and ePrint features will continue to work after it is removed from your account.
Using the Web Services option on printer front panel menu, reprint the Web Services Information Sheet with the printer code on it.
Log into the desired ePrintCenter account and add the printer as you normally would. If you don't know your printer ID or email address, use the Web Services menu to retrieve it from the printer.
Note: You will not be able to use ePrintCenter to configure your print apps or manage ePrint settings unless your printer is added to an ePrintCenter account.

  • HP Eprint app

I downloaded the HP Eprint app from the Google store, there it states that the app will work in landscape view on tablets with screens 7" and larger, my tablets screen is 10.1", it is running Android 4.0.3 ICS and yet when I open up the HP Eprint app it goes into portrait view instead of landscape view. I opened up the HP Eprint settings but there is nothing there to change the view. I use my tablet the same as a laptop including a keyboard case as I hate the Android onscreen keyboard as well as a computer mouse.
I do not believe that using a keyboard cases keyboard or the computer mouse has anything to do with the HP Eprint app not going into landscape mode.
Does anyone know why my HP Eprint app will not go into landscape mode and is there anything that I can do to make it go into landscape mode.
Also my printer is a HP Deskjet 3512 wireless E printer.

I wanted to share this problem with the app not flipping views for you automatically with the team that supports this since this seemed like a really rare issue and it was clarified that the device you have receives information from the app and vice versa.  For example, the device controls certain functions like if the app can flip and the app determines information like which resolution to display at.  If it does not flip automatically, chances are it never will.  This mainly affects Androids with non-standard sizes and other off-brand types of devices.
Have you tried the Printer Control app?  Maybe that will fix this for you so you can print comfortably.  Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the app in case information was not installed correctly?
I really hope I can help you but from my understanding, I may not be able to but I will happily try.
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

Please help me to dissolve this problems. Thank you in anticipate for your kind reply.
    Best regards, S.

    Hi,
The HP ePrint mobile driver require any valid personal email address, tou should use the hotmail one for that purpose.
Then you will recieve an email with activation code to enter into the ePritn Mobile driver.
If you configured the HP ePrint Center settings for allowed senders only, make sure the specific email used to activate the app is listed within the allowed senders. You may configure the allowed senders by logging into HP ePrint Center and clickng the  ePrint Settings button,

  • LaserJet Pro M201nw stops responding to ePrint requests a few minutes after connecting to network

I just set up a new LaserJet Pro M201nw and it works great, except for a consistent problem using the printer with ePrint.
I was able to set up Web Services on the printer and add it to HP Connected as an ePrint printer. Printing through ePrint and Google Cloud Print works for a couple of minutes after turning the printer on.
But after a period of time, which can be anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes, the printer appears as "Offline" in HP Connected. If I check the ePrint settings on the printer through the front LCD or the web interface, for "ePrint Server Status", one of two things happens: sometimes it just stays busy forever, or after a couple of seconds I see "Connection error. Check Internet connection."
When I see the error message, I can request "Turn ePrint off temporarily." The printer will reconnect to ePrint and work for a couple of minutes again.
The local networking features of the printer such as network printing and the web interface don't appear to have any problems.
I don't think the problem is related to my internet connection, which is reliable. I can monitor traffic on my network and see communication between HP's ePrint XMPP servers and the printer when the printer is operating normally. When the printer has this problem, I still see incoming traffic from HP but no outgoing traffic from the printer. This is very odd and suggests part of the printer's firmware isn't functioning correctly.
Has anyone else had issues with this printer model?

  • Eprint login error: Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden.

Why do I keep getting this error when trying to log in  to eprint website to manage my printer: Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden.

    Hi,
Please perfer the following the check.
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.
    2. If that doesn't work, try resetting Internet Explorer's default settings by clicking "Tools" (on the top menu bar), "Internet Options" (usually at the bottom of that list), "Advanced" (far-right tab), and "Reset" (towards the bottom-right of that box). After resetting the defaults, try viewing the ePrint Settings area again.

I just viewed the website on my computer, and it appears to be working okay on my end. It's possible that there's a setting in your web browser responsible for what you're seeing. I would recommend trying the following steps:
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.

  • Problem with eprint

I bought a new HP Photosmart 5510 printer to use for photos from iPhone 4, only whenever I try to use the eprint service, I get a message in my email that the photo quality is not good enough and the print job was cancelled.   Can't figure out how to fix the problem.  Does anyone have an idea?

Log into ePrintCenter and choose the ePrint Settings button. There should be a "Print options" tab which also has a Color/Grayscale option. Make sure that is set to Color to see if that makes a difference (even though pictures should default to color).

  • Is there a way to test the eprint?

I  am trying to connect to eprint for my HP Officejet Pro 8500A. How can I check to see if it works

Hi tex43, so you know your printer's email address?
    https://h30495.www3.hp.com/help#eprint
    Using ePrint
How do I find my printer's email address?
You can find your HP ePrint email address in the following ways:
First, make sure you recognize the ePrint icon:
For Photosmart: On the printer's front panel display, touch Wireless>Web Services>Display Email, or if available on your device, touch the ePrint icon on the printer front panel.
For Officejet: On the printer's front panel display, touch the ePrint icon (4.3” display only) to display the email address or Setup>Web Services Setup>Printer Email Address to reprint the information sheet.
Photosmart Only: If you register your printer at ePrintCenter.com, your email address displays on the ePrint panel.
For LaserJet: On the printer's front panel display, touch the ePrint icon or “How to Connect” to display the email address. For LaserJet printers with the small 2 line display, please print out the information sheet to see the email address
Adjusting ePrint settings / Managing ePrint print settingsePrint settings can be changed by logging into ePrintCenter, and selecting print options on the left side of the ePrint panel. Here you will find settings for color options and paper size. Print options only apply to documents not photos. Photo files will always be printed in 4x6”.

  • Can't login to hp eprint: eprint forwards to hpconnected forwards to eprint...

I can't login to eprint anymore. Which means I can't change my eprint settings, authorized email Adresses, check my printers - I'm simply looked out. So the "service" is funamentaly broken to me.
The reason? eprint is now hp connected for some reason (probably some marketing people which care more about branding than if the product actually works).
I am forwared from eprint login to hp connected, wich forwads me to the eprint login to hp connected... it's just an endless loop.
It seems switzerland was just changed to hp connected a few days ago, but the forums are full of users which experience the same issue already 6 months ago, in september 2013.
It seems that the english / us page is the only one where all the new forwards are correct, international pages seem to be fundamentaly broken.
Of course this does not hinder HP to continue the worldwide rollout, instead of fixing the bugs.
So now it hit me - I am looked out from HP connected, or should I call it HP disconnected?
What can I do? I tried different browsers and computers with no luck.
And - DO YOU EVER TEST? And do you do on your international pages or just the us one? It's not the first time I had issues with the HP page which constantly forwards to broken links and dead-ends, well, wich is not to surprising consindering what a mess of hundreds of systems and servers patched together by random forwads the whole page seems to be.
If you change your website and services make sure the changes work befor you go live.
I rely on eprint, but have to learn relying to an HP service seems to be a bad idea.
    HP eprint
    Login screen
forwads to the notice eprint now is hpconnected
"change to hp connected" forwads you to - eprint!
which presents the eprint login window
which splashes a screen eprint is now hpconnected
from where you are send straight to eprint again...
    just embarrassing.

As I already wrote, the hp connected site redirects to the hp eprint site within a fraction of a second.
My country and region is set to switzerland, and it never was set to anything different.
If I try to reset the password (also aready did this), which I only can do on the eprint site, because the hp connected site immediately redirects me, I get a message I already changed to hp connected and i should do so there.
Guess what happens if I press "switch to hp connected" on this pop up.
Right. I am redirected to the eprint login screen.
I made a series of rapid screenshots so you can observe the adressbar with its redirection orgies from hell.
Problem is your stupid hp disconnected site immediatly spits me back to eprint, does'nt matter what I try to do.
so, 2014-02-23 at 08.06.06, lets try hpconnected.com (or your direct link to sing in, it happens the same)
    Bildschirmfoto 2014-02-23 at 08.06.10 , it it's loading...
2014-02-23 at 08.06.11... redirecting to... yeah, back there...
So try to get the login window 2014-02-23 at 08.06.19
and "forgot password"... 2014-02-23 at 08.06.31
ok...  2014-02-23 at 08.06.34 - oh, a message, I already changed to hp connected. Lucky one...
So press "change to hp conneced" 2014-02-23 at 08.06.38
for a moment, in the adress bar the link to the hp connected singing page appears...
    2014-02-23 at 08.06.40 - 2 seconds later.
    Back to hp eprint.
I don't know who implemented or is responsible for this, but maybe he/she should get a job in your cafeteria. It's better for everyone.
