LaserJet Pro M201nw stops responding to ePrint requests a few minutes after connecting to network

I just set up a new LaserJet Pro M201nw and it works great, except for a consistent problem using the printer with ePrint.
I was able to set up Web Services on the printer and add it to HP Connected as an ePrint printer. Printing through ePrint and Google Cloud Print works for a couple of minutes after turning the printer on.
But after a period of time, which can be anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes, the printer appears as "Offline" in HP Connected. If I check the ePrint settings on the printer through the front LCD or the web interface, for "ePrint Server Status", one of two things happens: sometimes it just stays busy forever, or after a couple of seconds I see "Connection error. Check Internet connection."
When I see the error message, I can request "Turn ePrint off temporarily." The printer will reconnect to ePrint and work for a couple of minutes again.
The local networking features of the printer such as network printing and the web interface don't appear to have any problems.
I don't think the problem is related to my internet connection, which is reliable. I can monitor traffic on my network and see communication between HP's ePrint XMPP servers and the printer when the printer is operating normally. When the printer has this problem, I still see incoming traffic from HP but no outgoing traffic from the printer. This is very odd and suggests part of the printer's firmware isn't functioning correctly.
Has anyone else had issues with this printer model?

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Stops Responding

I work in IT as desktop support for a city. We have a user that is always calling and saying that she cannot open PDF files. What happens is that Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 stops responding and you must go into Task Manager and kill Acrobat.exe. We've taught the user how to do this, because she's been having the issue for apparently 2-3 years.
    Here's the thing...
She is the ONLY user in the city (of about 1000 users) that has this issue. She first had Adobe Acrobat Pro 8, so we upgraded her to 9, we have created a new profile on her machine, we have uninstalled and reinstalled, we've wiped her hard drive and started over, and we've given her 2 new computers. Nothing has worked! We just gave her a brand new computer with everything up to date yesterday. This morning she called after about 3 hours of using it saying she's having the same issue.
Considering everything we've done, and that nobody else has this issue, we believe she is causing this issue. But we don't know how. We have never been able to replicate the problem ourselves. This afternoon we are sending a tech to sit with her to watch her and hopefully see if she is doing something that could cause this.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!
    -Logan T.

She's a buyer for the city and recieves a lot of PDFs through e-mail. I think that's where most of her PDFs are opened from (Outlook 2007). I'm not sure how many she creates herself. I'm honestly wondering if she even needs Adobe Acrobat or if Adobe Reader would just be fine (she claims she needs it). That will be something the tech can look at today while he is there.

  • Mac Pro freezes few minutes after starting download of additional content

    Hello everyone!
So... I've downloaded Logic Pro X from the App Store today. Install and download of basic content went smoothly, but problem occured when I started download of additional content. Few minutes after download had been started, whole computer would just freeze, and I would have to shut it down by holding the power button. I tried downloading just small packs of content but it didn't help every time, in 80% cases it would freeze again.
Logic was never installed on this machine earlier, at least not after clean Mavericks install few weeks ago.
What could be the cause to this problem, and can any of you help me?
    Thanks in advance.

  • After installing 10.8.3 on Mac Pro, finder stops responding after 7-8 hours

A week or two ago I installed the 10.8.3 update to my Mac Pro at work. Ever since, towards the end of every work day, after 7-8 hours of continuous work, the finder will just stop responding. I am usually alerted to this by trying to open a new file, only it won't open. I am then unable to restart or **** down and am forced to do a hard shut down to turn off the machine. Upon starting up the machine again, I do a permissions repair, then restart again. Then everything will work fine for another 7-8 hours. If I leave my machine on overnight, it won't work when I arrive for work in the morning, and I'll have to repeat the process above.
I have tried running the free Maintenance software from Titanium Software, and that has not solved the problem. I was also concerned about font issues, so I ran the free version of FontDoctor, and it reported a bunch of things to fix. But I do not want to spend the $70 on the full version if that's not going to fix the problem.
I spoke with an IT guy I work with, and he said it might be worth dealing with the hassle until the 10.8.4 update arrives.
    Any other suggestions?

    Back up all data.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and the support article linked below for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them, then boot in safe mode* (by holding down the shift key at the startup chime) to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.
    Mac 101: Font Book
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. In that case only, after running Font Book, launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo atsutil databases -remove
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. After running the command, reboot as usual.

  • Laserjet pro drivers stop instalation at 99%

    Dear Experts
I have now read everything there is read on the installation of the laserjet pro 200.  I am running windows 8 and have tried to install the laserjet pro 200 and laserjet pro 300 on my Samsung pc.  it bombs at 99% everytime.  i have done all 3 possible solutions but nothing seems to work.  have the same problem at work on another pc.
HP printers seems to be a problem and no real solution. do you have one? please help!
Also tried the scan doctor, but it does not detect the printer.
    Thanks

    Hi BmfMat50
I understand the install stops at 99%.
You would need  to install the full feature drivers.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=kj-107661-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
I would disable the smart install feature on the printer.
On the printers display go to the setup icon, (wrench icon) services, HP smart install, turn it off or disable it.
Check the devices and printers and if the Laserjet is listed, right click and remove device.
Here is a url how to access the devices and printers.
    http://www.7tutorials.com/device-stage-fun-way-interact-devices-and-printers
Here is a url to assist you in checking the drivers on Win8 to see if there are any hardware driver conflicts, you would see a ! mark or a red x beside a device with a conflict for the printer or unknown device. You would right click and remove device. This will not show unless the usb is still connected.

This url explains the conflicts in the device manager.
    http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/the-windows-8-device-manager-the-hardware-tool.navId-812283.ht...
Try and install the software again.
Right click and select run as administrator.
Let me know if this works.

I recently updated my Mac book and Itunes and Mail have stop responding.
iTunes work fine till I connect my Iphone. The moment I connect my iphone it stops responding. I have reset my phone couple of times already and have re-install iTunes few times. Does anyone have any other suggestion on it?
Mail will never Quit. It will get my new mails or send them when I start it but after five mins or so it will stop responding at all.
Please let me know if anyone is facing similar problem.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup.  If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup.  You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone.  However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

  • My ipad 3 Bluetooth stops working for several seconds every few minutes

My ipad Bluetooth stops working for a few seconds every few minutes...very annoying. Any solutions?

firefox has become a somewhat of a pig. it is actually funny and i know this problem will soon be cured but.... here was this "anti-IE" thing that came out a while ago saying "we're the fastest browser in the world" and indeed they were. as a 13 year microsoft employee/veteran i was reluctant to try it, but try it i did. that was years ago. now all of a sudden here i am and for the past several months at least, firefox has been pausing every few seconds or so. it is totally annoying and has me researching the cause. i'm a techie/quite computer literate and know how to tweak and configure to get every last ounce of speed out of my system. let me tell you... firefox is no longer the fastest browser on the planet.... they have issues. why? they have a lot of code and maintaining a complex piece of software (they are finding) is not easy. BUT, the problem lies within firefox's code base... i've used the latest version of IE, safari and chrome and neither is suffering from the pausing problem.
how can you repro this problem? go to any webform (gmail, this forum, et al) and start typing... there will be an annoying pause every few seconds. while pausing, firefox pages out to disk, despite there being TONS of physical memory available... AND i have set my system to NO pagefile, yet firefox is paging...
or, go to a long webpage (e.g. ebay and set the search results to 200. then just use your cursor to scroll down the page) and you'll see the same problem.
hurry firefox... fix this annoying problem. i've been a happy and loyal FF user for at least 5 years

  • Error: EPrint not Enabled, Also: Printer not connected to Network

I have been using this printer and EFax until recently when EFax wont work.   I am connected to Network, I can use printer for printing from laptop, IPAD and Iphone.   Have good connection. When I attempt to send EFAX, I get "Your printer is not connected to Network"   Then I am told to enable EPrint,  IT IS enabled.    Printer is great, EFax wont work.

This reply may be late for this user, but it might be helpful for any current users.
I managed to change the modem's IP address to match that of the printer. In my case the printer worked fine wirelessly until I moved to a new place and installed a new modem. Here is what I did to solve the problem:
    1. At the printer, click on the wireless button, wireless settings, print network configuration page. This will print a page with the printer's IP address (in my case: 192.168.0.13)
    2. I accessed my modem via the internet browser, typing 192.168.1.1 (this is one of the default addresses (192.168.0.1 is also common). Default user and password is admin (usually). There I changed the modem's IP address to 192.168.0.1 and the range to start at 192.168.0.13 (my printer's IP address).
    3. I saved the settings (the modem will reboot and you will be offline, it may take some 20 seconds before the modem is visible again).
    4. Reconnect to the modem and check if internet is still working. Then try to install the printer again.
This worked for me after I read several other postings.
    Good luck!

  • WDS stops responding to pxeboot requests

I have a strange one here...
I am using WDS on Windows Server 2012 R2.
I have had chronic issues with WDS working then not working for no apparent reason.
I have been deploying Intel NUC hardware with a Windows 8.1 custom image and when it works, it does so perfectly.  When it does not work, I get the following sequence:
    Boot to network with f12
DHCP server gives an address and refers to WDS server to load WDSNBP
    WDS responds and downloads WDSNBP
    No Response from WDS Server
When I check the WDS logs, I see that I sometimes get Error 1306 where the workstation is requesting an x86 image.  The only image I have ever used on any workstation with WDS is x64.  I have done the command in WDSUTIL and set the default for
X64 and only have x64 items set in WDS Server properties.
Again, when it works, it works great.  I can run thru devices just as fast as I can connect them and get them started. But when it does not work, nothing I can do seems to help.  Then without notice, it will start working again in a day or so,
without any reboots of servers or any other changes being made.
Does anybody have any ideas on what to look at or which direction to start troubleshooting?  I would be pulling hair out if I had any......

When you are setting up the NUC, in the BIOS make sure to use only Legacy or UEFI boot. Pick the setting appropriate to your deployment time (MBR vs GPT) and do not have both enabled.
What other roles are installed on your WDSS?
An interesting thing about how that PXE process works... The server will ask of (or is provided) what the capabilities of the client are. So the client may say it can boot more than 1 type. However I have not seen a time when WDS provides up the wrong boot
image*, or no boot image. If the client says it can do x64 (and I think there is a x86amd64 response too) and there is only x64 images, it will boot that. If for some reason the client does support x64 but doesn't make that known to WDS, then it would likely
    be a client issue.
*exception to this is you can use WDS to force the client to boot in the wrong mode, however this causes the client to hard lockup if it doesn't actually support it. For example, it is possible to force an x86 client to boot the Itanium PXE rom... which
    it does NOT like.

  • Premiere Pro CC stops responding when a clip is imported and altered.

Whenever I open Premiere Pro CC it works fine all up until I import a video/picture(or several) the problem appears when I try to click the video/image and alter it. Even just right-clicking the video/image causes it to close. I'm pretty stumped as I'm not too good at these kinds of things.

  • Why does my Mac Pro 2013 stop responding after being idle?

My new 2013 Mac Pro works great, but when I've left it idle for a few hours, it refuses to wake up.  The monitor goes completely dark, and it doesn't respond to keyboard or mouse events.  The computer is on: the fan is blowing and the power button is lit, but it seems completely inactive.  I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor, disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard, plugging the keyboard directly into the tower, unplugging the monitor's power supply and reconnecting it.  I've also confirmed (by plugging it into a MacBook Air) that the monitor itself is in working order.
So far the only way I've found to make the computer usable again is by forcing it to turn off (by holding the power button) and then turning it back on, but obviously I'd prefer a less destructive solution.  Anyone else experiencing this?

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

  • HP color laserjet pro cm1415 stopped printing on my wifi network.

It used to print fine, then about 2 weeks ago, just stopped.  The print job sends OK, but then sits in the queue for a minute or so, and then it says "error".  I've removed and re-installed the software, rebooted the routers, computers, and printer, but it didn't help.  I also tried Microsoft fix-it utility and HP Print & Scan Doc, but nothing helps.  Any ideas?

It sounds like there may be a communication issue with the computer and printer.
Try using the HP Print and Scan Doctor as it is designed to resolve many printing issues.  It will try to correct any issues automatically.  If it does not, then it will give more information about how to correct the issue.
The link provided also has some information about how to use the tool.

  • Macbook pro 2011 stops responding

I have had the macbook for several weeks. Everything works more or less ok, apart from iphoto that often shuts down unexpectedly. Today, when working in iphoto, everything froze and would not respond to anything. Not the mouse and not the keyboard. I am using a LCD 27" has my main screen. Had to shut down via the book itself.
Here I was, thinking the word frozen only existed in pc-land
    Please advice.

Here are some general troubleshooting steps.
    - Reset PRAM
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/26871.html
    - Reset SMC
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    - Repair Disk
Boot computer holding shift key, you will see a progress bar at Apple Logo screen.
When you get to the login, it will say "Safe Boot" in red. Click the back arrow, and click restart.
The next step would be an Archive and Install if these do not resolve the issue.
Archive and install process is described here: (In 10.6 a reinstall is the same as any previous version's archive and install)
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8177.html
This also may be an issue that is related to a specific to content, like a photo or image that has been corrupted.
AppleCare can help with these types of issues as well, and with an Early '11 MBP, you are within your 90 days of complimentary phone support.
