HP Photosmart 7515 e-All-in-One Printer - C311a - printer stopped printing

I have owned this printer for less than 1 year and not used it heavily. While it worked, it worked well - no complaints. It suddenly stopped printing black about a week ago so I searched for a resolution. The resolution offered was to replace the print head. The instructions said that replacing the print head required that all print cartridges be replaced as well. The cost for all of this now exceeds the cost of the printer ($60 print head, $75 to replace all the ink) and the solution doesn't work. Now yellow and cyan don't print and the printer reports no problem. Rest assured that this is the LAST HP printer product that I will ever purchase. There is no support to speak of and no accountabilty for the problem. Coupled with the recent "update" that required me to install new software in order to get the fax to work again, I am more than disappointed with HP. I was a die-hard HP fan until now - bye, bye HP.

So the printer is less than a year, it should still be within warranty? Have you checked by entering the serial no. below....

Hp photosmart 8250 printer won't stop printing

my photosmart printer, no matter how many copies I am trying to print, will print until the paper runs out. I have wasted so much paper, thinking it will print the picture I want to print and stop.

My Photosmart C309a does something similar but I am printing a multiple page pdf. I've gone to so many forums and tried so many different work arounds, all to no avail. I am convinced the HP software is junk.
Temporary fixes I have tried are:
go to c\windows\system32\spool\printers and delete whatever files are in there. Next, go to Admin tools>services>print spooler and click on properties tab. Set it to automatic. Remote Procedure Call (RPC) also needs to be runnung. Just look a little further down on the services list and you'll see it. Set for automatic also. Then uninstall and reinstall your print software.
I have found that the printer behaves normally for a while, but then it forgets to talk nice to Windows and starts messing up again. Hopefully this helps. Good luck.

HP Photosmart 7515 says it is connected to wireless network but won't print from anywhere.

My HP photosmart 7515 used to work on my network. I could print from iphones and my mac mini. Now it says its connected, it has the IP address 10.0.1.3 and everything on the HP network configuration page says it is functioning normally, but the printer can't be reached by any device and I can't open it in my browser when I type the IP address into it. I've tried powering it down and unplugging it but at this point I am at a loss. The only thing I can think of is that I ran a Mackeeper fast cleanup of extraneous files recently and perhaps something was removed that needed to stay. I don't know. I tried installing the HP utility for Mavericks (my current operating system on the Mini) but that can't find the printer. I tried typing in the IP address manually but that didn't work either.
When I try to connect to it through eprint it says that it is connected but says there is a problem with the printer. What's the problem? It says it is unspecified and to see printer front panel for information on resolving the issue. Where on the front panel? I have no idea.
Happy to start from the beginning but this is really becoming a pain. Why doesn't it work?

FIrst of all, get rid of Mackeeper, it will cause more problems that it will solve. To uninstall it, open it and have it uninstall itself, then restart your Mac.
Have you restarted your router? What router are you using?

HP Photosmart 4400 Series, All-in-one C4480

My Printer has worked great for years, I recently moved and my Scanner when trying to Scan to PC has not worked ever since. I tried Uninstalling my printer and re-installing using my original disc. Everything says it was successfully re-installed. But now nothing will work, Scanner works and stops just as it is about to finish and shows an error. Printer also has stopped printing all together and shows an Error, cups/private/ blah, blah, blah message. Help?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you recently moved and now you are no longer able to print or scan to your HP Photosmart C4480. I would like you to go ahead and complete the steps listed below:
Scrub/ Uninstall
• Open the Applications folder > HP or Hewlett Packard folder > HP Uninstaller
• Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
• * Only do this step if you do not have any other HP Printers. Hold down Control, Option and Command, While holding the three buttons down,
• Click uninstall.
Reset Printing System
1. Click the Apple icon ( ), and then click System Preferences.
2. In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
3. Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
5. Type the correct Name and Password.
6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol..
Repair Disk Permissions
1.On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
2.Double-click Disk Utility.
3.Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
4.Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
5.Once the repair is complete, restart the computer.
Restart the printer. Now you can download and install the printer software and install it. Click on the link below to begin the download and follow the on screen instructions:

I have a hp7250 all in one printer and it just stopped printing hp printer says radio not working

i have a hp 7250 all in one printer it just stopped printing my compute says its offline but when i go to pinter and try set up it says cannoct connect then review says raido not working

If that reset did not resolve the issue, and the printout indicates that the wireless radio is not working then there are a few options that we can go through.
First, make sure that through the Setup Menu that the wireless has been enabled and turned on. If these options are not available, you may have to try a differnet reset that I will PM to you.
Also, if the wireless radio is not functional then you might consider connecting the printer directly to the router using an Ethernet cord and reinstalling the printer on your computer using that method of communication.

How do I reduce or enlarge the size of the object to be printed?

I tried your suggestion to use the application to reduce the object I want to print. I was able to reduce the object size, but when I printed it, it printed the same size, had I not reduced it.
I am using Windows 7 and Office 2010. I am copying coupons that I receive in an e-mail and paste them into a word document. I remove the parts of the received e-mail I don’t want to print and try to reduce the coupons in size so they will print smaller. I was able to reduce the size of the coupons while viewing in MS Word, but when I print them out, they print at the size had I not reduced them.
I had no problem reducing the objects before printing with the HP printer I owned prior to the Photosmart 7515 all-in-one I now own. After clicking on FILE and then PRINT I don’t see any capability to reduce the object before printing.
Any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated…………..Dave50

Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are having a problem with the AIO app, as well as what sounds like a web services issue.
I would like to help.
Before working with the app, I would like to make sure the printer is fine.
On the front panel of your printer touch the Web Services icon. (also known as the ePrint button)
If you get a server connection error, I would set a manual DNS.
The following post by happytohelp01, has instructions for setting the manual DNS.
If for some reason the printers email or ePrint address has changed, you will have to set it up again.
If the email is the same and you do not get any error messages, try cycling your network.
Turn off the printer and other network devices.
Unplug the power to your router for at least a minute.
Plug the power cord back into the router.
Turn on all your network devices.
Wait until the blue wireless light on your printer stops blinking.

Wireless Photosmart 7515 No Longer Recognized by Window

My printer worked wirelessly just fine for over a year. Then one day both my desktop and laptop comuter stopped printing wirelessly. The Wireless Network Test Results show that the printer in "Connected" to the network, but Windows 7 fails to recognize it. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Hey John,
I see you are having a network connection issue with your Photosmart 7515. When was the last time the network setup was power cycled?
Follow these steps to reset your HP printer, your wireless router, and your computer.
Press the Power button on the HP printer to turn it off.
Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the HP printer.
Disconnect the power cord from the wireless router.
Turn off the computer.
Wait 30 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the wireless router.
Wait 30 seconds, or until the router is fully on and ready.
Turn the computer back on.
Wait for the computer to reload.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the HP printer.
Turn the printer back on.
Once everything is powered back up, then I would check to make sure the printer is still showing connected to your network. If so, then check the IP that the software is looking for the printer at to make sure it hasn't changed at some point. To do this follow the below steps:
Click the Start menu of your PC
Click All Programs
Open the HP Folder
Open the folder for the 7515 inside the HP folder
Select the option to Update Wireless information to update the IP the software is looking for the printer at
As well, try running the HP Print and Scan Doctor to see if it can locate any issues with your installation. Please use the below link to access the PSDR.

Photosmart 7515 Not Working

I bought my HP Photosmart 7515 All-in-One (Print / eFax / Scan / Copy / Web) when it first came out - honestly can't remember. I use a 2008-MacBook Pro and 2009-27" iMac desktop computer. Originally, the 7515 worked wonderfully. I updated my computer OS to 10.8 and it continued to work. I recently (2 months ago) updated my OS to 10.9 (newest Mac OS) on both the desktop and laptop devices. The 7515 will not work with either device anymore over the network. I updated all the drivers and software I can find via Apple's software as well as through the HP website.
After a lot of work, I finally was able to get the desktop to print and scan using the 7515 but ONLY via direct USB connection. Today, I downloaded the newest printer software compatible with the 7515 All-in-One (HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.44) This allows me to print to the printer wirelessly on my laptop. However, I cannot scan to the device.
I'm starting to get tired of this poor compatibility. If I can't regain functionality of a perfectly good (practically looks and functions like its new in box) device ... then I'm going to leave HP.
Please help. Thank you for your suggestions in advance.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues scanning with your Photosmart 7515 since upgrading to Mavericks.
You indicated that you downloaded and installed the full feature driver for your printer and Mavericks. I've checked and the full feature driver for your printer is different from the one you gave; you gave HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.44.dmg and HP's website shows the driver download as HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.38.dmg. I've included the link to the correct Mavericks download.
Please install the proper driver to see if that corrects the scanning issue.

Sending faxes via efax on Photosmart 7515

Everything -- printing, scanning, faxing -- used to work on my 7515. Now everything except the sending of faxes works. I used to fax effortlessly (never more than 2-4 faxes per month) with the free efax account I set up when I bought my 7515. (All software associated with the 7515 is up to date.)
So I checked efax.com, and it says there that one cannot send faxes using the efax free account.
Did the terms of service change recently? If so, when? I did not know, when I bought the printer, that my modest fax usage would expire.
If not: did I miss a download notice, or does something new need to be installed?

Photosmart 7515 making a subtle whoshing noise

I just got a HP 7515 or 7510 photosmart printer.
When the printer is not in sleep mote it makes a faint hissing noise all of the time. It is annoyig. Wondering if this is normal or a defect?

Printers will make a little noise, but if you think that the noise is abnormal you can call our technical support at 800-474-6836 . They will be able to fully dianose the noise. If it is found to be an abnormal noise they can setup a replacement for you.

Photosmart 7515 jams using Kirkland (Costco) glossy photo paper

I have used other photo papers in the past including HP. But this time I purchased a package of Kirkland Professional Glossy Inkjet Photo Paper. After starting a print job, the paper starts to feed and then jams. Once it actually printed, but the print was about half off the paper. The other attempts all jammed. I ruined 5 sheets so far with no success. This Kirkland paper does not seem any different from the others used. Is there something wrong with the printer? I don't have a different paper to try at the moment.

PhotoSmart 6510 e All-IN-ONE Series HP Printer

My HP Photosmart 6510 e-All- In -One printer suddenly stoped coping, and delivers blank pages. When I print from my laptop the printer works but the quality is poor; printing faded out areas within the printed-out paper process. I tries cleaning the Pringheads, but got no resolve to my issue. Can anyone give advice on eliminating my problem?
