HP support solutions Framework

Help!!  I installed Win 10 and my Officejet J4550 all-in-one no longer worked.  I gave up and went back to Win 7 but now those printer files are correcpted.  I think the main problem is the "HP support solutions Framework".  For some reason I can't uninstall it or re-install it.  Can you help?thanks,Ron [email protected]

Sorry, but I'm confused. I have the HP Support Asst, use it regularly, and it works fine. My problem is with the HP Support Solutions Framework. Will down loading Suppoft Asst again resolve that issue?
(I know enough about computing to get around but far from truly literate so pleae forgive if that's a dumb question.)

I will try my best to help you resolve this issue.To better guide you, could you please tell me the model number of your computer and the operating system that is running on it. Here are some guides for How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? and Which Windows operating system am I running?. I want you to be aware of what the HP Software Framework provides. It is a common set of software interfaces that centralize and simplify access to hardware, BIOS, and HP specific drivers that work with the Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. (Notes from Should I Remove It?) You should be able to uninstall HP Software Framework from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel. On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following: Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall a Program.   • Can somebody recommend a remote desktop support solution?

    I am looking for a remote desktop solution to support our remote office(s) Mac systems.  Apple Remote Desktop is not an option.  All versions of VNC that we have tried will not work with Mac Lion.  Bomgar has been ruled out because of finances.
    Anybody have other suggestions?

    Normally I would suggest TeamViewer.com, but you are talking a commercial situation which should be paid for, and you mentioned financial issues.
    I do not understand the VNC not working, as I've used Screen Sharing (just Apple wrapped VNC) both to and from Lion to other Macs.
    Can you please describe the configuration information
    What VNC clients? (Mac OS X Screen Sharing, Chicken (or Chicken of the VNC), JollysFastVNC, TightVNC, UltraVNC, RealVNC, other...)
    What VNC server?  (Screen Sharing, Remote Desktop, Vine Server, other...)
    What computer is trying to connect to the remote offices?  Is it a Mac or other
    What operating system version (is this the Lion system?)
    What is the office Mac?  Is that the Lion system?
    What do you have as a router at work?
    Can you configure your work router to allow VNC ports 5900, 5901, 5902, ... through your router and vector the different port numbers to specific Office Macs?  <http://portforward.com>
    Have you tried Mac OS X Screen Sharing?  On the Office Mac you enable System Preferences -> Sharing -> Screen Sharing (optionally, you can enable a VNC password for non-Mac clients).  On the Mac client, you use Finder -> Go -> Connect to server -> vnc://address.of.office.router:5903 which would connect to port 5903 on the office router which you would have previously port forwarded to a specific office Mac.
    If you are in the office, then you should see the Mac via bonjour in your Finder side-bar or via Finder -> Go -> Connector to server -> Browser
    Anyway
    No-IP.com or DynDNS.org can provide a dynamic DNS name to make finding your office router easier.

    Hello everyone... I've read some discussions today regarding remote support tools. My background comes from an older version of Kaseya (perhaps 5 or earlier), some experience with GFIMax, and Bomgar. I have changed jobs and am looking for a similar solution for the company I am at to replace the current Kaseya implementation being managed by a vendor. We have less than 15 workstations/servers to maintain. I took a look at Remote Utilities this afternoon as well as DameWare and while I lean more towards DameWare, they do not support unattended remote access at this time. Remote Utilities looks like a good solution provided I install an RU server somewhere in the building. I was looking for a solution similar to Kaseya or GFI whereby there is a cloud based console that the agents check in to that I have access to from anywhere.Are there...

  • Applications launch in trial mode - online support solution failed

    Hi everyone, has anyone had the same problem? Online solution advises to download new Adobe Application Manager and follow a series of steps to effectively renew. Downloaded successfully and when I ran it it returned an error window stating the application manager failed to initialise and directed me to try a solution - a link which took me to a redundant Adobe support page. i previously had a trial version with different email address. Adobe prompts me to log in using it, which may be something to do with the problem, even though i don't and always log in with my subscription email address. Thx AT

  • A driver supporting solution menu ex is not installed

    I have a CanoScan LiDE 210 that I've been using for the last two years at least.  I recently used it about a week ago and had no issues with it.  For some reason when I tried using it today through MP Navigator and Solution Menu it doesn't work.  I get an error from Solution Menu where only the help features are available to be clicked and from MP Navigator it tells me that it cannot start. I have tried reinstallation and even the driver update available from your site.  I'm not sure what the issue coudl be anymore.  I know it can start and the bulb works fine because when I plut the usb in my computer recognizes it and for a short while the scanner will light up, but that is all.  
    I'd appreciate any and all help.

    Having searched this issue on the internet I now believe this is  around for long time and still unresolved.I wonder how much responsible is a company like Canon in resolving this. A multibilion dollar comapany and iresponsive. I was thinking my next stop to be for a Canon multifuncion printer after my 18 years HP started showing problems but now I am very skeptical. Seen Canon as incompetent as this I have to think twice before I buy another Canon product. (so far I bough three Cannon scanners and this is a big problem for me. I guess Cannon will suggesst to call their technical support (for a fee likely) and this for what purpose? The fee will cost more than teh product an dif their techical people know the solution to tell me then why not fixing it in teh first place? For a problem that they know for long time and they do nothing to fix it they want to charge? Their error message says there is a driver not installed. OK Canon. Be more specific. YOur error message is ho help. It is simply useless. Tell me which driver is not installed and I'll do the rest.

    I found success in installing a Lite-On LH-20A1H
    20x20 DVD+/-RW, which is a lightscribe 20X DVD
    burner. It went right in and then and was immediately
    recognized by Mac OS 10.4.8. To get the lightscribe
    to work I needed to install the file found at this

    You need to install it first and then install a label
    lightscribe label program like Lacie's Labeler
    program for mac found at
    http://www.lacie.com/support/drivers/index.htm. It it
    important in the installation of this program to
    select "Custom" install and Un-check the "Host
    software" module button.
    I was then able to print a lightscribe DVD.
    FWIW the Lite-on drive is a bit quieter than the
    original Sony superdrive in my Mac Pro and a whole
    lot faster. It ripped a cd into iTunes at an average
    of 37-40 X and burned a copy of a 1 hour home made
    DVD in my Sony in under 4 minutes using Toast 6. Very
    happy with the drive.

  • Support Framework 11.51

    I am trying to update my graphics drivers, and followed all the instructions to figure out what kind of laptop I have. I ended up at the "Solution and Update Finder" page, and scrolled down to the "Software and Drivers" tab, clicking on it. I selected the "Check for updates and recommendations", downloaded, and tried to install. It went through the first few steps with the "do you want to allow the following program to make changes" and whatnot, and then it stops. I get a little error message that reads "There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program run as part of the setup did not run as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." I don't know what to do with this now, and I'm hoping that someone can help me out.

    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 17 Notebook and issues with the HP Support Solutions Framework. On the Start type control panel Programs and features, click Uninstall a Program, find the program HP Support Solutions Framework and uninstall.
    Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that might need updating.

  • Can't find drivers for memory card reader

    I downgraded my laptop to Windows 7 and now recently i did a clean install again, and i can't find the card reader driver again to read sd cards, i tried using hp site to recognize my hardware and they say " there is no drivers for your product" or something like that, which is weird because i know that there is many drivers for Windows 7 i even downloaded some a long time ago...i think Hp Support Solutions Framework is broken, and Hp Support Assistant software for pc don't return me drivers too...

  • HTTP.SYS fails to load after ProLiant NIC driver update on Server 2008 R2

    Hi team,
    This has been driving me crazy for a week and I can't find any reference to solving the problem in Technet or any forums...
    I have a ProLiant ML350G5 server that I installed Server 2008 R2 on and migrated all my domain AD, DNS, File Services, Shares and files from SBS2003 (end of life, so let's take that out of the network) - Exchange and SharePoint were not being used so Standard
    server 2008 was the choice seeing that the server hardware is 4 years old...
    Everything went well, migration was successful, AD was primary and active.
    Then (stupidly) I decided I'd better install all the updated drivers and management software from HP. The NIC is showing as an HP NC373i which is a Broadcom BCM5708C. I updated the FLASH in that card (HP utility) and updated the driver to the latest version
    7.8.52.0 along with a bunch of other updates all handled by HP's Support Solutions Framework (msi).
    After the reboot required, I noticed that the Print Spooler (set to Automatic) didn't start, neither did IIS or Web Services...
    Trying to manually start them gives the error that a dependency failed. Now Print Spooler only uses HTTP (no longer a "service" but integrated into the kernel for multiple http connections on the same port and controlled using netsh http command
    prompt...) DCOM and RPC. The last 2 are running, so that leaves HTTP as the culprit.
    The Event Log shows that HTTP failed to load as "the services cannot be started. Either because it is disabled or because
    it has no enabled devices associated with it"
    From an administrator cmd prompt, net start http gives the same failure error.
    netsh http show servicestate returns "The handle is invalid" - it's not seeing http at all...
    OK. If you've read this far, thank you - keep going...
    Here's my thinking... Updating the NIC driver has "broken" the association with HTTP.SYS - How to I get that association back?
    I uninstalled anything http related, IIS, BITS, Web, Printing Services. Reboot after reboot and still no HTTP. I deleted http.sys from \windows\system32\drivers and did sfc to get windows to give me a clean one. Reboot, still doesn't load so it's not a damaged

    I uninstalled EVERYTHING ProLiant, uninstalled the NIC, deleted the bxnd60a.sys driver so Windows would use it's own, rebooted, let it load NIC drivers, set the IP's up again, reboot - still no http.sys loading...

    Does anyone know how I can get HTTP.SYS to associate with the NIC? Can I do anything in the registry to achieve this? Do I have to do a System State Backup (is that the only way to preserve the AD and DNS?) scrub the server and start from scratch and then
    restore the System State to get my AD and DNS back? If I do that will it bring the http.sys fault back?
    I'm really at a loss - please, someone, please help...

  • Cant Install Software Driver for HP PSC 1310

    My software was not working correctly, so I deleted it in add & remove programs.
    I cant install the new downloaded software.
    After downloading the software, it extracts, but then nothing happens.
    I do not get the information box as shown in the videos on this page
