HR Organisation Chart : Showing Position as Presently occupied by other

As per our Business Practice, there are some Positions which are Vacant but occupied by some Employee as their Secondary assignment (over and above their primary assignment, which is some other position). And this position we don't want to show it as Vacant and as of now there's no plan to fill this also in near future, but as part of the Organisation Chart, we want to show this as Occupied position.
e.g. Presently in our Org Chart, CIO Position is Vacant, but we want some existing employee to appear as "Acting CIO" and don't want Vacancy report to display such positions which is dully occupied by some Employee's.
So how can we incorporate such Employee assignment to 2 different Positions, one Primary and other Secondary, so that such Positions are not shown as part of Vacancies.

I hope you can create your Secondary Position in Planned Status and make it active after the primary Position got Obsolete.

Unable to change Data label position in the Chart using Position from Properties

Hi All,
I am trying add the Data label to the chart and the users want them to appear on the top of the stacked bars. By default when I enabled the data labels it showed up in the middle. When I tried to change the position by doing
View --> Properties --> Position --> Top/Bottom/any of other 8 options -- it does move a bit
I even tried deleting chart and recreating it.
What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ranjith_SQL,
According to your description that you have add the Data label on your stacked column chart which by default display in the middle of the chart, you want them to appear on the top of the stacked column chart, right?
For a Stacked Column Chart, the data labels are always placed in the center of the Series bars. This is by design. I also test it on my new version of SSRS 2014 and find have the same result.
If you really need the data label to display on the top, I recommend you to change the chart type to column chart which by default have the Data labels display at the top of the column:

Here is a description of my problem:
I have a query which returns values for materials grouped by purchasing groups:
Group 1 Material A KyeFigure
Group 1 Material B KyeFigure
Result: KyeFigure
Group 2 Material C KyeFigure
Group 2 Material D KyeFigure
Result: KyeFigure
I'm using a Web application designer chart to present the values graphically. I would like only to present the result rows in the chart, not item values. But since the chart picks all KFs presented in the table (items as well) this is not the case. I've tried to find a way in the chart-settings without any luck - it seems not possible. The documentation states that you're supposed to design your table the way you want it to show in the chart. However, I'm not allowed to redesign the cube or the report.
My question is: Is there a way to extract the result rows into a new table and then base my chart on that one or simply somehow present only the result rows in a chart?

There is not an organisation chart feature in Keynote.
You would add text boxes and shapes connecting them with the line shape.

BO 4.0 Web Intelligence, Error: Column Chart shows not the whole data

Hello,
I want to create a case study in BusinessObjetcs 4.0 (Web Intelligence) with a column chart.
Year is the Category Axis and Revenue is the Value Axis.
Unfortunately the resulting chart shows only the year 2008.
If I choose Month as Regional Color the chart shows all years (2008-2011).
What I do wrong? Or is this a bug?

What I think is that there simply isn't data in the report other than the 2008,
or at least the combination of the section master/year only has 2008 data.
If that is not what you expect and there should be more data, also when looking specifically at the values for just this section,
then you could check if you may be have incomplete query results. Standard they will be limited to 5000 rows, unless your universe designer decides otherwise.
Check the number of rows returned (free cell with query details),
if it is 5000 (or any other nice round figure) have a chat with the universe designer.

Chart Axis Position

Hi there,
I'm wondering how I can fix the vertical axis of a chart into
position. I have 4 charts that are vertically aligned. When the
chart labels of one get larger than than the rest of the labels the
chart resizes to make more room for the label. When this happens it
throws the charts out of alignment. This is a big problem for me as
the 4 charts share the same X-axis and I only have labels turned on
for the bottom chart. The chart type is a linechart and the axis
are both of linearAxis type. I have tried the verticalAxisRatio
property of the lineChart but this has a rendering problem and
tends to chop of part of the labels. Im wondering if I can
explicitly fix the position of the vertical axis so they won't
move.

Producing a chart showing the lowest of 4 hourly values as one point

Okay, new to this forum.
I'm trying to produce a chart in APEX that shows the lowest value of every 4 hours to produce as one point in my chart for a monthly chart.
I've created a schedule to get flashback data every hour from a database.
Then this bit of SQL for a weekly chart showing the data from each hour:
select null link,
to_char(todays_date, 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24') as label,
(OLDEST_FLASHBACK_TIME * 24) AS ####
from flashback_history
where DATABASE_NAME = '####'
i want to get the lowest value from every 4 hours and show it in the graph for a month.

Using the above SQL worked okay for one series, but if i add another series to the chart, it doesnt display the two series on the chart together, it displays them seperately as they have different values.

3.1 Stacked bar chart shows no color by default - Override possible?

I noticed in Studio 3.1, stacked bar charts show no color by default. I also read in the documentation that this is the default behavior:
"The chart is initially displayed with no color dimension selected. End users can then select a color dimension. The chart is also reset to display without a color dimension whenever the chart configuration is changed."
I noticed that the chart is also reset to display no color when the user logs off. This is rather annoying for users if they must select the color indicator on all charts every time they log on. Is there a way to override this default so that the chart displays color by default? That's how it worked in 3.0.

Unfortunately, this can't be overridden for 3.1. We have heard similar feedback from others, and are looking into it for the future.

Pie Charts show Table Sum? Huh?

Hello all.
I am making a simple home budget, with a table of data, which has a final row that totals the previous entries. I selected a pie chart to show this info, but the pie chart includes the total row data, which makes no sense. How do I tell Numbers to not show that total entry in the chart?
Example:
Row 1 = $500
Row 2 = $400
Row 3 = $300
Row 4 = Calculates sum which in this case is $1200.
Numbers draws a pie chart showing 4 items, not 3 items and their corresponding percentages of the entire chart.

Try placing a summary footer then plot the individual data items.

Im trying to get a chart showing dots (and some name should be displayed above dot)...Can anybody telll me whats the name of that chart and mostly im asking u for a link of that particular type of chart..(ie. chart showing dots as well as displaying some name above dot)..

I have a spreadsheet full of clients from different cities, and I'd like to create a chart (3D ideally) showing which cities have the most client and which have the least.
For example, 158 live in City A, 132 City B all the way down to 1 client in City V.
Currently my spreadsheet has first, last, street, ZIP, city, state, misc info A, misc info B, misc info C Etc Etc.
I may also like to create a chart showing totals of one of the Misc columns.

Use a subsidiary table to collect the names of the cities in your list, and to count them. Chart the results. Here's an example.
Cities are listed in column B, and may be in any order. Spelling counts, as the formula in column E identifies each city by the exact contents of the cell.
