HR personal administration data

Hi Experts,
My requriement is to create a report to see the apprailsal amount and %
for example : Last year salary (before apprail) = 30,00 and salary raised by 10,000 and after apprailsal salary will be = 40,000
I would like to see
Empid Name Last year salary Raised amount percentage
100 abc 30,000 10,000 33.33%
Salary is maintained as master data. I am using cube 0PAPD_C02 . it doen't help.
salary is actually an display attribute on 0employee . How to get the salary from last year.
Can anyone has development such report before OR have any clue to acheive this.
Is ther any standard report for such kind of requirement ?

You can use display attribute for calculation in formula by using processing type replancement path, no need to change as navigational attribute....

Dear freinds,
We are attaching documents through the employee personal master data
PA30, Our client wants to know where exactly these attachments are
getting saved; Our SAP environment is ECC6.0 on AIX 5.3. so i exactly would like to know what is the exact path where these documents are getting saved on AIX machine.
I would appreciate if you can tell us where exactly these documents are
getting saved at OS level, any particular file system you think,
because I probed in but couldnu2019t find where exactly there are on the

hello,
SAP generally recommends that you store employee documents with a bar code. You can find the documentation to 'Storage Within Personnel Administration' using the following path:
=> Help => SAP Library => Human Resources => Personnel Management (PA)=> Personnel Administration (PA-PA) => Storage Within Personnel Administration (PA-PA)
In the SAP Standard it is not possible to tie original documents to specific personnel numbers in the PA30 transaction. The only exceptions are two specific scenarios where you can tie original documents in the PA30 transaction:
1. late storing with bar code
2. late storing without bar code
During both scenarios you start out in the Trx PA30. If the bar code entry is deactivated the actual key data will have to be transferred to the document in any case, otherwise you will be asked to enter a barcode again. Therefore the document would be transferred to the scanning location and then assigned to a specific business object.
Unfortunately it is NOT possible to upload a document directly into archive in the PA30 any other way.
Let me emphasize once more that PA30 can not be used for storing infotype specific documents. Via the special scenarios mentioned already by my colleague you are able to assign documents to the specific infotypes but the storing has to be completed outside of PA30.
Using the option Extras -> Assign facsimile in PA30 will be interpreted by the system as start for late scanning with barcode thus the error message.

Issue with 'Archivation of Request Administration Data' in BW

Administrating Data Guard without complexity of Grid Control. Possible?

I wonder if someone can shed some wisdom about implementing and administrating Data Guard without the complexity of Grid Control. Don't get me wrong, I love the Data Guard feature provided by Grid Control, but installing Grid Control just for the sake of administrating Data Guard sounds a bit overkilling. Not to mention that I still have hard time getting Grid Control properly installed on a Windows Server 2003 box (keeps getting 503 Service Unavailable and the Servlet error).
I was told by a friend that Oracle 9 has something called EMCA (Control Assistant) that allows you to administrate Data Guide. Searching for any file containing the phrase "emca" under the Oracle directory ("c:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\BIN"), I found emca.bat and some related files. Does it mean the EMCA is actually existing in Oracle 10.2G (for Microsoft Windows Server)?
Any comment? Feeling clueless right now. :-I ....

I have set up Dataguard 9iR2 on Linux SLES8 and use Data Guard Broker to manage switchover and failover operations. It comes with the database and is command-line based.
The documentation walks you through the setup phases quite nicely.

Has anyone had issues with Administration\Data Import/Export\Data Import???
I have a client who has recently upgraded from V2007 to V8.81. They were succesfuly using this standard function to import supplier prices to their master price list, but now it has failed?
I have looked at the file they are importing and it appears to be fine.
On closer inspection, it did contain approx 46,000 entries, so I took the first 1,000 and created a test file, which imported fine.
The only issue I found was Speed, with the test file of 1,000 records taking about 30 Mins to import. This appeared to get slower and slower the further through the file it got!
Based on this, I have estimated that the whole file would takle about 13 hours to import. The client say that when they used to run it on version 2007 it was far quicker?
In practice, it does appear to run, but the speed is the issue. Having said this, I set the whole file to run last night (over night)and this morning it had appeared to hang after about 2,307 rows, with nothing else being updated.
Has anyone any ideas or is aware of performance issues like this?

I have uploaded a copy of their database onto my test system and run the same routine. Its equally as SLOW
I can't gauage if its an issue with 8.81 that 2007 didn't have, as I only have the client's word on it, however I have no reason to disbelieve them.

I am using a Long data type column to store a big text. In oracle Enterprise edition the data stored correctly. But in the Oracle Personal Edition, the Long data type column data corrupted. Some letters in the text are replaced by special character chr(0).
The following data has been taken from a column (Which is of data type LONG).
1. In the first one column name Template_ID stored correctly but in the second one T is missing. Some special characters has stored in that place. (Difference is in 6th Line)

Changing Administrative data in Layout set (SE71)

Hi All,
I have copied another system layout set extract & uploaded into my system by changing user name in the extract.
But i got few fields wrongly updated in Adminitstrative data. I have already made some changes to layout set. so i can't upload again.
Now i want to change fields: Created On, By, Release: & Changed on, By, Release:
fields in the Administrative data tab in header data of layout set(SE71).
Can anybody tell me how can i change this data!

If you have authorizations to open the layout in Change mode then you can change the fields names as well as Values By knowing the correct field names.

Is it a new feature of BW7.0 ? I am going to have a look, as it it very interesting.
The tiem out issue is due to a lakc of performances in the treatment of data in each package, as you will have one DIA for each packageof your load.
To reduce the probability of time out:
- check the routines you have in the update rules
- check that the indexes of the cube you laod are dropped before you start to laod as you might create contention during the load.

System succesfully creates an archive file but fails to delete data from the tables.
System generates the following error :
Lock table overflow
Does anybody know how to resolve this issue?

HR module for Personal administration

Hi all,
I am new to HR module ,i Need to implement Personal administartion in BI 7.0 . To achieve one report i need to enhace 0EMPLOYEE_ATTR, 0EMPLOYEE_0022_ATTR ans some other datasources also with some additional fields like baseloaction,University,hihestlevelofqualification etc.
I ahd 2 ques regarding this
1)I wanted to know is the same way other modules implementing need to be followed in HR also.I
2)In ECC itself some of our PA tables itself appeneded with Z-fields so can it possible to append directly into the corresponding extarct structure same like other modules
3) Regarding data loading datasources like 0EMPLOYEE_0022_ATTR is not supported by delat so do i need to do full update always.
And also please mention if is there any pointers need to take into action while implementing HR Module .

Enhancement of HR datasource is same as other module DS enhancement, and u can append custom fields as u do it for other businesses.
Most of the HR datasources (Master & Transaction) does not support Delta load, so it a daily full load

IDM person centric data model

HI,
We are using Sun IDM to do provisioning for an service provider. The data model differs from the standard user view, where one Person has many Accounts on many Resources.
The data model we are trying to represent is complicated: but simply it is Person has many Credentials, that each link to many Roles. A persons Role(s) link the 3 entities Service, BillingAccount and Person, and describe what that Person is to that Service or BillingAccount. Eg user, account payee, account authority etc.
How can we represent this in Sun IDM. I have looked at Scripted JDBC connector and it's ability to map user Account properties to a database as two or more tables but this doesn't seem powerful enough. Any ideas?

It is always difficult when these one-to-many situations have to be handled in BW.
Here are two approaches:
One model is to have two sets of records, one of header level and one on cost item level. The header level set of records would have the key figure(one record with 20) because it belongs there. There is an extractor for that I think it was 2LIS_08_TRTK. The cost item level set off records should not have this KF.
You can now have these two to sets of records either in one cube or in two separate cubes with multiprovider on top.
This is the clean way.
When designing the queries, keep in mind that there are multiple records (one header and many cost item records). For example you can report only on header and jump-query to the items.
Second model would be to collapse the items to the header. So instead of having three items, have only one header record and aggregate the items. This requires user participation and agreement to a design where the cost item records will not be immediately available but instead a compressed record will be. For example if you have a date, you can create first date and last date characteristics on the header record.
The exception aggregation may not actually work in all cases, I am not sure with what characteristic and what exception in particular you using.
