You don't have iCloud set up? There would be a backup there if you enabled it.

No.
A restore might not even fix it; a fair amount of the time, when the Wi-Fi is grayed out it is a hardware issue. -
I need to download itunes on my iphone but I do not have a homecomputer is there another way I can download itunes?
I saw the App on my phone but I am not able to completely connect to the store. I can buy songs or movies but each time I try to connect to Ping an error message appears "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I assumed I needed to download iTunes.

There's only one thing you can do: make an appointment with Apple genius at the Apple retail store for a out of warranty replacement.

Try cleaning out the phone's port, of pocket fluff and such. Carefully. And check the mains adapter similarly, but less likely.

Is there any way I can switch Automatic Backup off?
Is there any way I can turn automatic backups off in Logic Pro 8? Apple has set it so you can't switch them off any more. (You could switch them off in Logic versions 6 and 7.)
I see other people have had this problem and it has been discussed on these forums but nobody seems to have offered a crystal clear solution.

But I can't see exactly how or where to do this.
Open the Terminal application. Type the command above and press return.
Note that setting it to 0 *does not* turn it off, it gives you one autobackup next to the song file, rather than creating an auto backup folder and putting the backups in there. -

If it is showing off line, either the battery is dead, the SIM has been removed or the iPhone has been restored. Report it to you carrier. Some offer blacklisting. You can also send a remote wipe to the phone via iCloud. There was also the option to send you an email if the phone is located when you were in Find My iPhone. Report it to law enforcement, change the passwords on all accounts that were on the device. Did you have a passcode on it?

You have to have enabled Find My iPhone on your phone before it was lost in order for it to be located. If you did, you could play a loud two minute sound on it even if it was on slient, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0f19b5.

You can simply login to iCloud: https://www.icloud.com and then go to Find My iPhone...but if the iPhone is turned off or restored to factory settings it won't show up.

You won't be able to activate it even if you do jailbrake it. There's no way around activation lock without the assistance of the prior owner.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. Then put the photos in a folder and sync them to your new phone by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.
